Wedding Reception Stay

Stayed for a family wedding. Lake George was a fantastic venue for the wedding. The home was great for six adults and was comfortable. It was very clean and had fantastic views.

Clean and spacious home. Fantastic communication from the owners. The house was well cared for and had all we needed to enjoy a week at the lake. The property and surroundings are perfect for a small family with young kids. We plan to return as much as we can.

Magical experience

Terri’s lake cottage is the most perfect vacation. My family and I enjoyed every second of the lakefront property. We boated, swam, jet ski’d, kayaked, and enjoyed the fire pit and patio. Our kids had the time of their lives. This neighborhood is just so perfect and we can’t wait to come back next year. Thanks soooo much Terri!

Perfect Lake, Perfect Lake Cottage

Beautiful property to relax and unwind. We loved the pontoon, kayaks and paddle-boat. The cottage is one story so it was great for the grandparents and little ones. The owner thought of everything! Beautiful view and excellent lake access

This property is well located on Lake George, near the tip of Brown's Point and with nice neighbors on both sides. The cottage furnishings are comfortable and the appliances new. The sandy lake bottom near the shore was a wonderful entry point for swimming and we watched a lot of fish being caught out beyond our pier. We enjoyed easy access to the lake, local restaurants and attractions, as well as a half-day trip to a recreation area in Michigan for cycling. The hosts were attentive in answering questions and proactive in ensuring everything was ready when we arrived. We had a great week!

Excellent summer getaway for the family

We booked this cottage for my mother’s 70th birthday and could not be happier with our experience. We had 5 adults and 3 kids and found the cottage to be quite comfortable. The sandy beach entrance and the availability of the pontoon boat allowed maximum enjoyment of beautiful Lake George. Swimming, boating, and fishing occupied our days and relaxing on the deck overlooking the lake was the preferred nighttime activity. The neighbors were very nice and accommodating. Having grocery stores close made restocking supplies easy. Unfortunately the marina was closed during our stay, so we’ll have to explore that next time. I would recommend this cottage and my family and I will be returning in the future!

Lazy getaway cottage

Really wanted to give 4.5 The house was nice and it was easy to find from the boat while on the lake with a landmark nearby. The kitchen and bedding were well stocked and the appliances modern. We had a lot of rain during the week, so the smart-tv came in handy. We had a 2 year old and a 2 month old and had trouble keeping everyone cool in the bedrooms with the doors closed. It was especially hot outside the first few days. With the bedroom doors open, the two room air conditioners kept the place cool. The deck needs a little TLC with the paint chipping off all over and some window screens pushed out. Without little kids, this would not get a mention. The house could use some child-proofing. There is a shade tree between the house and lake that was wonderful when you wanted to get out of the sun. The side yard was flat and dry and includes a fire pit. A paddle boat and two kayaks were available for us and got used. We paid extra for the pontoon, which made for relaxing tours around the lake. It's a family setting and the neighbors are quiet. The beach was so nice for young children. Clear and shallow water was enjoyed by all. The owners were very responsive and timely to questions we had and just great to work with.

Great Stay at Lake George

We had a wonderful stay on Lake George. The cottage was in a great location and had all the amenities that we needed. The pontoon rental was perfect and allowed us to spend time on the lake during the day and we enjoyed cruising around the lake in the evenings. The lake views were just spectacular and the weather was great all week. Thanks for everything!

Lake George Getaway

The cottage was extremely clean and had everything that we could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable and nice linens were provided. The lake is beautiful, clean and clear. The buoys around the lake provide lots of room for swimming and water play!

Great for a Family Getaway

A very nice place to stay. We had 6 adults in the cottage, and there was plenty of room for all. It is a true lake cottage, with lots of character and is nicely decorated. It also comes with many updates, including an open concept kitchen, dining and family room area. Newer appliances. Nice partially shaded deck with table for sitting outside. Sandy beach area for the kids to play. Nice fire pit. Good sized side yard for playing cornhole or other games. All of the amenities were great.

It was a great place for a get away. The cabin is cozy with plenty of room. Kitchen area is great with a big bar for food prep. Loved all the windows toward the lake to sit and relax and enjoy the view! Nice deck out front and right close to the water. Great spot!!

Great place, right on the water.

This was a very good experience for us. The cottage is well located on the friendly point of the lake. Communication with the owners could not have been better. Everything was in good working order. Fishing could have been better but still caught enough to eat every morning from their fine well running pontoon boat. I recommend this to those that love being on the water.

Great spot! Comfortable and relaxing

We spent our week and really enjoyed this quiet spot on Lake George. My husband and I were there all week and had family / friends come and go throughout our stay. We loved spending time on the deck, our pontoon rides and campfires. We were very comfortable here and hope we can return some day. I missed being there after we returned home this week. We had one little issue with the refrigerator, but nothing that was a big problem, and the owner was very quick to respond when it was reported. Thank you Terri and Matt for offering your home away from home for others to enjoy.

Beautiful lake house with everything you need.

Our family rented this lake house for a week in July. Everyone had an enjoyable stay. The house has plenty of room including 2 large sitting areas, large kitchen with island and everything you would need to prepare your food, dining room, 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (something very important when kids are involved,) swimming right in front of the cottage, use of kayaks, paddle boat, DVD j players, movies, games...….something for everyone. I would definitely recommend this cottage if you are looking for a cottage to rent.

We are a family of 5 and purchased our cottage right after our first child was born. We wanted to provide a place for our family to build memories for a lifetime. A place where our kids as well as adults would have a great time. That has certainly been the case!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We fell in love with Lake George after visiting friends who owned a cottage on the lake. We live in the Metro Detroit Michigan area so going "south" to Indiana may seem strange. Yet after spending years fighting the bottle neck traffic up north each weekend in MIchigan, we welcomed the opposite commute. Getting to a beautiful lakeside home in 2 hours rather than 4-6 was most appealing!
Lake George has generations of families and that is reflected all around the lake. Everyone takes great pride in the lake and their homes & cottages. Lake George is rated one of the cleanest lakes in the area as it is spring fed and the residents are on top of weed control.

We chose our cottage first and foremost for the view! Nothing but boundless lake view with beautiful trees as a backdrop, which is spectacular in the Fall! We also loved the hard, sandy beach that extended out, which has allowed us hours of play time in the water over all these years! The open flat yard was also a requirement in order to spend all the time sun lounging, playing endless family games, and nightly bonfires - no matter what the temperature! The size of the cottage was perfect for our family. Having two bathrooms and all the amenities of a washer/dryer, dishwasher were a welcome bonus. The open concept was perfect for entertaining and a sleeper sofa in each room added extra sleeping. We fell in love immediately and have enjoyed our place since 2000!
