Journeys End - your incredible lake home get-away. Whether you are looking for a couples retreat, or family vacation at the lake, Journeys End will be a memorable experience. 6BR/3.5 BA, log cabin with full screened porch to enjoy the beautiful sunsets! S'mores at the firepit overlooking the water, 234 feet of lake frontage, with no stairs and a very short walk to the dock! Private gazebo at the dock, which offers a jet ski pad. Boat rentals are available nearby, and you can tie up right at the dock. Kayaks, a canoe, and paddle boat are included for your outdoor enjoyment. The back lawn is perfect for a game of cornhole or badminton. The home features 2 kings size beds, 2 queens, and 2 bunk rooms, plenty of space for the whole family or a couples retreat. Grandparents want to join? No problem! Easy ramp walkway to the main level, terrace level, and to the lake. Wifi is available, as well as Direct TV service. Fully equipped kitchen

This is a beautiful property and has everything you need. We cooked all our meals here for 3 days and found the kitchen to be well stocked. The kids loved the dock for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. We found even in the height of business on the water that the kids could swim and kayak etc around the shoreline out of harms way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had 3 familys coming together for a lake week and this home was perfect. The layout of the dock and stairs made for great swimming for all 4 kids. The house is so well equipped. We will be back. Thanks to the great hosts for having us!

Excellent!

It was the perfect weekend to celebrate my parent’s anniversary. There was plenty of room for 3 individual families. We had everything that we needed at the cabin for a quiet, relaxing weekend as a family.

Wonderful Get Away

We had our annual family gathering here. It’s the first time we have stayed at this location and it made for a wonderful and relaxing place to gather. The kids enjoyed fishing, boating, and the fire pit. The adults enjoyed the solitude, amenities and surroundings. I highly recommend it!

Fun at the Lake

Journey’s End was as advertised and a great vacation for the family. We rented a pontoon boat to cruise and swim the lake. The dock at the house occupied the children catching small fish. The paddle boat and BBQ pits got plenty of use. And last but certainly not least, the house was outstanding! We all wanted to stay longer.

Perfect place to bring the family back together again

Family get together

My sister, brother, and I got together for a sibling get together. Five people total and all adults. The property was very nice and had plenty of room. The property was clean, but there were some small maintenance issues that needed to be addressed and I did notify the property manager. The property manager was polite, but could respond quicker. Overall the family had a great time and loved the property.

Our stay at Journey’s End was perfect!! If you are looking for a great experience from check in to check out, this is the place for you! Greg and Michelle are FANTASTIC. Their place is BEAUTIFUL. The views are BREATHTAKING!! Plenty of room for everybody with everything you need, even salt and pepper!! Grab your family and/or friends and book this spot! You will be so glad you did!!

Outstanding!!!

Far away the most well thought out vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Indoor and outdoor motion lighting so you don't have to learn switches or give a second thought to moving around. Appointed wonderfully with everything needed to walk right in and enjoy. Located in a great spot on the lake with great views. Plenty of extra blankets for cool nights by the fire pit. Would love to come back with the boat in the summer. Well done!

Celebrating my daughter's wedding

Journey's End could not have been a more perfect location. We had just the right amount of bedrooms and bathrooms for our family. The kitchen was well stocked. The view was amazing. My daughter was able to prepare for her wedding with plenty of room. We even used the gazebo and dock for a few pictures, including the first look by the groom. We felt blessed to have found Journey's End.

Great hosts

Our family of 3 families thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Journey's End. Everything was as good or better than described in the listing. Lots of unexpected niceties, such as spices, dish detergent, foil and plastic wrap, and toilet paper. Plenty of room for everyone. The lake and dock were wonderful fun for all. The owners were great! Prompt with and A/C problem that could have wrecked our vacation. But owner Greg jumped into action and within an hour and a half, we were cool and cosy again. #1 rating!

Beautiful Lake setting

We really enjoyed our stay at Lake Wedowee. The property owners were very accommodating and great communicators. The property is situated with a great view of the lake. The screened in porch on the upper deck was amazing! We loved the yard and dock areas. The ability to use the kayaks, paddle boat, and games were a great bonus! We would stay here again!

The View

The view from this cabin is quite spectacular. The yard is wide open to the lake with a slight down grade to the lake. The porches and the dock have ample areas to view the lake and surrounding area. We are a family of 11 and this was our annual vacation. I have to say in the last 15 years we’ve been staying in different cabins and houses, this is one of the best. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and everything needed to make our time together special. We will plan to be back.

Perfect Family Vacation

Staying at Journeys End was just the step away from reality that we needed. We were greeted with amazing views and a spacious yet cozy home away from home. From the numerous bedrooms and bathrooms, perfectly stocked kitchen, and relaxing screened in porch (can’t forget the bed swing); we had everything needed for a relaxing week. The flat yard and steps into the water proved to be perfect for our granddaughter, the paddle boat was loved by all, and the fire pit made for great memories! The owners were great at communicating and were available to answer any questions or concerns. My family and I definitely plan to visit Journeys End again and can’t wait to make more memories there.

Relaxing Retreat

Our family had a great time. Grandchildren couldn't stay off the kayak & paddleboat. My favorite place was the bed swing on the relaxing screened porch overlooking the peaceful water. Weather could not have been better. However, not much luck with the fishing. Kitchen & baths were well stocked. Beautiful house, property, landscaping & flowers. Since my husband & I are senior citizens, the ramps are a must. Great communication between us and Greg & Michelle. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Kathy

Very clean and peaceful location

The house was decorated specifically for lake living, absolutely everything we needed was on hand. Beds were very comfortable and sprawling property allowed everyone to find their spot to unwind. It was simply a beautiful home.
