Relax and Unwind


Welcome to Keeping It Reel!! Located in a quiet cove on the north end of Lake Wedowee. This cozy home offers 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 open areas for your family to relax together. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or simply chill out on a tube. Public boat ramp just around the corner allows you to launch your own boat and tie up at our dock. The inside has hardwood and tile floors, stocked kitchen and a large movie/game room. The floor plan includes 3 Queen bedrooms and one Twin over Full bunkbed with a Trundle. Outside, we have 2 decks with ceiling fans, a table for outdoor eating, griddle and places to lounge. Cheaha State Park is nearby. Great for hiking and beautiful views. The town of Wedowee is about a 15min drive. Local stores, eateries, pharmacies, grocery stores and if needed, a hospital. We have plenty of parking. Please park on the concrete. Boat Parking Welcome.

Great Place for Race Day

This house was just as advertised and a great place to stay for 3 couples headed to the Geico 500. The house is stocked with necessities and there was plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the outdoor and indoor spaces.

Nice time on Lake Wedowee!

Great house for family get together. Everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Only 4 stars for the location due to the fact that the lake was too low, but that’s understandable this time of year.

Sweet Home Alabama

Great place to stay! Plenty of room and nobody felt cramped. Lots to do. The roads were good and really not too far from the Talladega Speedway. Two thumbs up!

Lovely location

It was great, the only problem was the ac kept resetting to 74. Unfortunately my daughter is hot blooded and prefers 68. The house was well stocked and had plenty of entertainment for the children.

Comfortable and Quiet

Property was very comfortable and as-advertised. While the dock could use some repair, it was functional. The property came with lots of bonuses and was obviously a second home. Just be prepared for the semi-rough dirt road once turning off the main county road. Overall property was very comfortable for a large group.

Very nice

The road to property is dirt and a little rough. Distance to town was farther than I like but the house was beautiful. Access to paddle boards and kayaks was very nice. Bathroom fixtures were a little tricky but overall it is a beautiful home. I would definitely recommend.

Family Gathering

I booked the property for a small family gathering to celebrate a job promotion, college graduation, birthday and anniversary for various family members. The online booking was quick and simple. Communication with property manager was easy. Property was even better than advertised. Plenty of space and sleeping quarters for family of 10. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, fishing, playing games and spending time together. We visited Cheaha Park and highly recommend it too.

Cozy home in a quiet cove

The property was as described. A new railing had just been built on the top deck on the back of the house which provided a better view of the water. Some boards on the dock that had been reported in a previous review had been replaced. The house was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. We parked our 25 foot center console boat at the dock with no problems…just wish we had been closer to the main part of the lake since that is where we spent most of our time. The check-in process and communication with Brian was excellent.

Nice, safe , place!

All was as described on the listing, beautiful location that felt safe and comfortable, kids enjoyed swimming and the activities like playing on the pool table. Contact with property manager was awesome. The issue we had was with the AC unit, it had a thermastat that would rest back to 70’f after a couple hours, also the AC quit working and I had to reset the breaker which wasn’t a big deal because it did finally come back on. But other than that it’s a great place and I would recommend it and I would stay agin
