This house is on top of a large hill (small mountain) that surrounds Lake Arenal. The house is new and has all the modern amenities. It has the best view on the lake and volcano in the area! Wifi is great! There are four bedrooms with balconies that have great views. There is also a garage to keep your car and other items. The garage is also a workout room with weights that can also be sued for yoga and other activities. The gym area has a large TV if you are interested in doing workout videos or yoga videos. The floor of the gym is also a padded workout floor like one would find in a commercial gym. Washer and Dryer are provided free of charge. This is an ideal setting for a family vacation or honeymooners.

House at New Arenal

Always nice views on the lake. Close to New Arenal which is useful and we found good restaurants. The house was in the mountains and it was very quiet. It is suitable to have a 4x4 to reach the premises.

We loved the house and the view. The house is set in a rural location and a bit of a trick to find, but once you figure it out you won't want to leave.

Great communication with the owner. Immediately responded to all messages and any questions that we had. Gorgeous property both inside and out, and very clean. Was a bonus to have awashing machine and dryer located in the garage and laundry detergent/powder was provided and even refilled during our stay there

We had a wonderful time at the house. The location was amazing with lake views, close proximity to good restaurants, and relatively easy access to the cloid forest and the volcan arenal area. Overall it was a very good experience.

Amazing rural home

Amazing spot in Costa Rica for our family of 6. We used this as a homebase for exploring La Fortuna, Tenorio National Park, and the cloud forest. Definitely in more of a rural setting, but absolutely beautiful views, new home with all needed amenities, excellent communication, and superb cleanliness. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful House with a B E A U Ti FUL View!

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. The view and large windows with spacious bedrooms and a well furnished kitchen were highlights. The view was stunning of Arenal lake and on a clear day also of the volcano. It had been raining quite a bit and driving up to the house was quite interesting and adventurous with the large ruts from the rain. A four wheel drive would most likely be a necessity to reach the house. Once there, it is a stunning view!

Clean new modern house with a great view

We stayed with two families of four for 3 days. The house is quite new, in great condition and offers great value. The kitchen is large and well equipped. Awesome patio with a fantastic view of Arenal volcano and lake. Ideal property for anyone trying to escape the crowded tourist spots. Definitely recommended.

Peaceful beautiful home

Home is spacious, well kept with beautiful views. Must have a 4x4 vehicle to make it to the house. Home is situated 10 minutes from a small town with a great German Bakery, grocery store and restaurants, about 50 minutes away from attractions. Owners are attentive and responsive.

Beautiful new home!

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! Communication was great, and the few minor issues we had were addressed as immediately as possible. This was a great home base for us to explore the Lake Arenal area, including La Fortuna. A note: a 4WD vehicle is pretty necessary to get to this house (but it’s totally worth it!). We loved eating breakfast at Restaurante de Caballo Negro just up the road on our way to La Fortuna.

Lake and volcano views: A relaxing retreat with modern amenities

We spent two weeks at this scenic property overlooking the lake and volcano. The well-equipped kitchen met our needs, and the internet, though not excellent, was sufficient for remote work. Even with a 2x4 FWD, we had no trouble accessing the house, provided we followed the host's directions (ignoring Google's route). Though some roads are gravel, they're quite good by Costa Rican standards. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place.

Beautiful view and a great home

We really like the home and the location. Beautiful views. Home is built on a hill top. You will need AWD SUV with better tires treading or 4 by 4 to drive up the hill. We had a rental car and it was not able to climb when raining. It kept slipping. The dishwasher was not working, I am sure it will get fixed as soon as the part arrives. Overall, a great experience and location. The super host was very responsive and guided us throughout the process

Beautiful Home and Great View

Great views. Great house, very beautiful and clean. Laundry when in Arenal area is a plus, many outdoor activities. Not too far from La Fortuna about an hour from most activities. Great hosts, very kind and quick to respond. I will say it gets very windy up there, one of my friends is a light sleeper and had a bit of an issue getting use to that. 4x4 car recommended. But very beautiful views and amazing kitchen!

Wonderful VRBO for Vacation

We had a great experience at this property and wish we could have stayed longer. The view is fantastic and the home is everything you would hope for in a short term rental while on vacation. The food recommendations and ideas that they offer are on point. Please note that you'll certainly have to drive 45 - 75 minutes for most activities in and around the Fortuna area. We didn't mind as it offered a great opportunity to see a part of the country that we might not have seen otherwise. We felt very safe in the home and it comes across that the homeowners have taking as many precautions as possible to eliminate risk of possible break-ins. Would stay at this property again in a heartbeat.

A great short stay in Arenal

We stayed in this home for 3 nights and we had a great time. The lake views are amazing and the sunsets were fantastic.The location is some distance from La Fortuna which has its pros and cons. There is a short gravel road up to the house, nothing major but a truck / suv is probably best.The property management team was very responsive and on top of things for check in/check out and throughout our stay. Check in was a bit tricky because it took us a bit to find the key lock on one of the support columns but that can easily be fixed with a quick note in the check in instructions.Bathrooms, beds, kitchen and laundry appliances were all in good shape and the instahot water worked fine. Upstairs bedroom has an amazing balcony and view was great for our teenager.We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the great service.

Fantastic home!

This new home was amazing! From every bedroom, you can wake up to the most beautiful views of the mountains and lake. The kitchen and bathrooms are state of the art. As a new home that just opened to rentals, a few more small amenities in the kitchen and baths will make this beyond perfect. We only had a couple of questions while there and the hosts were very timely and helpful in their responses. Cafe Macadamia is nearby and delicious. We were reasonable drives to La Fortuna and Monteverde, which we did daily to enjoy many adventures. We loved our time in Costa Rica and Tierras Morenas was central to that joy. We would love to go back again and again!

Beautiful views of Lake Arenal

The home and views were exactly as listed, with an absolutely stunning view of Lake Arenal. The home provided the exact amount of space we needed with a central location between Liberia airport but only about a 90 minute drive to La Fortuna and all activities in that area. The only issue we ran into was that the running water did not work for about 12 hours on our 2nd night due to issues with the town's water (not an issue with the individual house), but the property manager was responsive and fortunatley the issue was resolved by the town before we returned to the home the following day after being out doing activities. Definitely have 4x4 vehicle to access the home, and follow the directions provided as it can be difficult to navigate the area especially since we got in late in the evening when it was dark.

Beautiful home with an incredible view

The home was clean and check-in was easy. The appliances in the kitchen were all pretty top notch. We enjoyed cooking here. And having laundry was unexpected and pretty clutch. The property managers were responsive and helpful. The biggest perk by far though is the outstanding view here. Throughout each day and from one day to the next, changing weather conditions brought so many different magnificent looks to the lake, volcano, and surroundings. We didn’t feel like we always had to have an activity planned (although we found some great stuff to do around La Fortuna, Nuevo Arenal, etc.) just because we all enjoyed sitting around on the patio so much. A couple toucans were hanging out in a tree on the property line each morning a few meters away which was really cool. Overall, a great experience.

Almost perfect

Very beautiful home with great views and location. 4x4 vehicle recommended, as the last 500 meters can be challenging. there are a few recommendations, (see below) that if implemented would make this a perfect 5. 1. Install towel racks and soap dishes in bathrooms. 2. lower the position of the TV in main room and relocate TVs in Bedrooms so they are fully visible from beds. 3. Place manager contact info/phone number on the outside of door or by lock box to call if something is wrong with access on arrival. 4. Shower floors are very slipery, provide slip proof shower mats. Otherwise perfect.

Clean Modern Home with an Excellent View

The home is beautiful and the view is spectacular. We enjoyed watching the sunrise behind Arenal Volcano in the distance our first morning and we pulled out the yoga mats provided to do our sun salutations. We loved dining on typical food at the nearby Cafe Macadamia. The coffee there was also delicious. We drove about 50 minutes around the lake to do the Sky Arenal zip line tour which was so much fun and also played at the Fortuna waterfall. Per the host book recommendation we tried out the Gingerbread Restaurant which was excellent but a bit expensive for our family of 6. As others have mentioned, it is about a 50-60 minute drive to get to most activities near La Fortuna. It does get a bit windy around the home, but this did not bother us much and we slept well. Other reviews have mentioned needing a 4x4, which may not be entirely necessary, but which did give us the confidence to make it up the short, but steep and slightly bumpy road to the home. The one unfortunate negative during our stay was that some of our personal belongings and cash were stolen while staying at the home in the amount of $625. There is a security camera on the back side of the home, where there are several sliding patio doors, but the thief managed to turn the camera up and evade detection. This put a bit of a damper on our stay. We felt very safe in the area otherwise and hope that this was a random incident, but would caution to be very mindful of your belongings here.

My wife and I took a trip to Costa Rica just to get a break from our daily lives. On our first trip, we fell in love with the country and purchased this lot immediately. It was everything we were looking for, private yet near amenities, beautiful view, great place for walks, etc.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This is a custom home built to have the best view of Lake Arenal and the Arenal Volcano. This is the best view of both attractions available. That is why we selected this lot. We intentionally positioned the house so that it would have the maximum view and the top story bedroom balcony is designed to enhance the already spectacular view. Everything in the house was picked out my my wife and is the best available. This includes granite counter tops, stainless appliance, large windows, spiral staircase, etc. You will not be disappointed. If you want kayaks or horse rides ask to be connected with Cookie who can deliver kayaks or bring horses for you to ride. My wife and I are avid walkers and runners. This is another reason we chose this property. There are paths all over the place. We just go exploring for hours walking to take in the scenery. This is a very safe location so there is no need to worry. There are external motion activated security cameras just in case to make renters feel better.
