The fully equipped kitchen features appliances, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, a microwave, and a toaster oven—perfect for preparing meals or entertaining. The property and condo were exactly as advertised. A big plus was air conditioning in each room. The host also provided beach chairs and gear (i.e. boogey boards). The pool on the property also is well maintained. Overall, the property is great for stay in Maui.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. wish it was a better start

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: not happy with owner of unit. i entered the unit dirty, nothing cleaned and side window open with all the lights on. i worried someone was still in the unit. come to find out, the person vacated already but she didnt get the unit ready for my first day of rental. she did call for housekeeping and after 2.5 hours, it looked clean, but didnt feel like it was as clean when one isnt rushed. it could use some updating. communication with housekeeper from owner was poor. i left lots of food in the kitchen and when the housekeeper came she put it all in her car. i informed the owner and even left a huge note on a paper bag saying to leave food in refrigerator. kitchen drawers not smooth to open and close and counter top is a weird granite looking overlay so it felt sticky.

Upon checkin, the place was not ready to stay. I had even reserved the condo for the day prior to arrival, so it should have been cleaned on that day incase i was able to fly in sooner. Instead when i open the front door, I thought people were still staying. Garbage not taken out, open food containers on the kitchen counter, all the lights were on, sliding door was wide open, towels were not in the washer. I immediately contacted the host and she got a housekeeper to come clean. So in about 2 and half hours it was ready for me. I still felt like it wasn't cleaned thouroughly. I told the host why wasnt this ready for the day prior? She apologized and then changednthe subject to ask about when i was checking out. At this point i just want to start my vacation. The place is as advertised. The counters aren't granite but like a sticky granite look laminate and drawers are a little wonky and and dont close evenly. Because of the quick turnover, the bed spreads on the beds were removed. I velieve the sheets were changed. Couch is not a pull out and quite unconfortable. Too much sinking in for my preference. All the kitchen basics are provided but no spices, oil or even salt and pepper. 4 chairs, a cooler and some boogie boards but one only had the safety strap. I did contact VRBO but i waited too late to call to received any compesation.I was staying for a special so i didnt expect anything back. I just wanted the host to acknowledge the issues. I left the place in great conditi

Great place and location

This was a great condo for our trip. It was centrally located, walking distance to beach and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Great location & amenities (pool, hottub, etc), okay unit…

The property and the units are a little outdated and could use some minor updates, but all in all we had a great stay and the unit was the perfect size for my husband and I and another couple (2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms). The location in Kihei is perfect, and the pool and hot tub and barbecue area was awesome, we threw a little birthday party barbecue there one evening with a bunch of our local friends and other family that were on island with us and it was lovely, and the pool was only crowded once or twice during our whole stay….perfect for zoning out with a good book:) Check in and out was easy, the host even let us check in early at 2pm, which was nice because our flight got in at noon so we didn’t have too much time to kill. The only issue is that there was absolutely no toilet paper in the whole unit once we checked in, I know you typically have to buy more once you use the base supply in the unit but we started out with zero toilet paper, which was a bit of a problem for us! We obviously had to buy some immediately, I messaged the host but didn’t hear back from them until the next day, they profusely apologized and said they would bring some over but we still never received any. The next day we tried to take out the trash and there were no trash bags either…eventually on day three they had the housekeepers bring us trash bags and more paper towels (which we didn’t need) but we never got any toilet paper. All in all it was suited for our needs, just needs some TLC.

Cosy, quiet

On arrival the door code provided did not work. Checked with on-site staff who called manager and we were given alternative code to use. The apartment is spacious with separate bedrooms. Apartment was very clean and kitchen had all amenities and was clean. The overall complex was nice and quiet with easy access to the beach. Swimming pool was well maintained.

Perfectly abundant

This is a very tasteful and comfortable place to stay at when visiting. The location is great and the complex is quiet and strictly ran thus avoiding any unnecessary unwanted behaviors. The beach close to the unit is small but nice (has a beautiful sunset to watch). Close to downtown Kihei and rest of family members. Safeway and shopping center only one mile away. Thank you so much for hosting us it was an amazing experience

This condo was a wonderful place for our family. It was spacious and the double lanai was a great gathering spot. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied and the resort was beautiful. We had a great week in Kihei.

A great family stay.

This apartment was very clean and tidy and provided all we needed. It was in an excellent location in the resort and very quiet. Well thought out with all the little extras and beach equipment. Felt like there was plenty of room for the whole family. It is Maui so you do have to drive as the roads are not the best for walking. But everything is so close and handy, lots of great restaurants, coffee places and food markets. The beach walks are great and with lots to see. Everything felt very safe and we would happily recommend.

Nice and roomy end unit

Very nice condo. Well appointed. Very large balcony that overlooked nicely kept landscaping and putting green. An "older" condominium complex, but well maintained. This unit could use a kitchen update, but it was still fine. We only used the fridge and coffee maker, but it looked like it had all the kitchen gadgets you could ever need. We enjoyed our stay, and would happily stay here again.

Just what we were looking for!

Luana Kai was a great location for us! The 2 br condo size was perfect for our small family, and while this isn't a luxury property it was clean, well-maintained, and had absolutely everything we needed. We loved having breakfast on the porch and appreciated the multiple fans in addition to the a/c units. Check-in and out were simple and straightforward, and the keyless entry was convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

Charming and Convenient

We enjoyed our week long stay here. The condo was exactly as advertised, the beds were so comfortable! It was well stocked, check in and parking were great. It was very easy to get ahold of the property manager each time we had questions and the guest book leaves enough instruction you rarely need help. The beach is nice and we used the chairs, cooler and towels on that beach but also took them each day on our beach escapades. We loved the location because it's close to food, shopping, food trucks and all the good beaches. It's even close to several medical facilities if you need them! We had a minor incident with a water line breaking (completely out of the control of condo manager) and we got an answer right away and since we were leaving that day and had no water they accommodated us by giving us access to another building - it saved what could have been a very challenging situation - which leads me to say... rent from them!
