Don Quixote log cabin is a Swedish replica log cabin located on a bluff that overlooks the lake and is minutes from Lakepoint State Park and Eufaula, Alabama.
The cabin is surrounded by beautiful hardwood trees with lakefront views, lake access and spectacular sunsets views. It’s location gives easy access to boating, fishing, hunting; deer, boar & duck, hiking, shopping, and dinning, all the while, affording you the ability to retreat back to the solitude of this 3 level spacious home with comfortable beds, large sectional sofa, and a large smart TV . Whatever you decide to do; stay in and enjoy the tranquil surroundings on the wrap around porch or go out to engage in outdoor activities, you will fully enjoy your stay at Don Quixote Lakefront cabin.

Excellent Property!

My son was on leave, serving in Army, and we planned a golf trip with my other son and their Grandpa. The location was perfect. Plenty of room and not a detail overlooked. Upgrades throughout the cabin made our evenings very enjoyable. The firepit overlooking the sunset over the lake with both my boys was my favorite moment. Would recommend 100%! You will not be disappointed!

Guys Fishing Trip

The location is great. 5 min ride to a clean safe ramp to launch a boat. Property management is quick to reapond and is above and beyond attentive. We hope to repeat a stay next year for the fishing tournament. The home is very well maintained and clean. The kitchen has quality cooking accessories.

Great Getaway Retreat

Absolutely enjoyed our four day anniversary getaway. The cabin was beautiful and relaxing and the views of the lake were breathtaking. The cabin was furnished with all the essentials needed and was very clean. Not too far from Eufaula for some awesome fishing and some great restaurants. Will definitely be on my list to visit again.

Special Weekend

First let me say that this is the cleanest house I have EVER been in. It is also has the most organized and well stocked kitchen I have ever seen. The house is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We hosted a few friends one evening and everyone was so impressed with the lovely home and gorgeous view of the lake. Eufaula Alabama was a charming town to visit, especially with the Christmas lights in the downtown area. We are so glad we chose this lake house for such a special time.If you stay here you will not be disappointed.

Hunting trip getaway

We took this trip since we have a hunting lease nearby and wanted to stay in comfort. The house is absolutely beautiful, from the inside out. The view of the lake when the sun goes down is stunning. Martha was a wonderful host, is she very response, very kind, and the house is stocked with everything you could need. We will absolutely stay here again when we go hunting next Just some things that could elevate the experience, we were there for a week so the guys wanted to watch football but we couldn’t find the channels so we had to go through apps and that didn’t always work. And a minor thing would be more paper towels for the longer stay. For those that are considering staying here, it is a wonderful house that I highly recommend. However it could be hard for elderly, younger kids, or those with weak knees lol to be going down the spiral stairs. My daughter thought it was cool but my father in law had a hard time.

Great stay for a fishing trip

We came to fish a tournament on eufaula. Great space to park trucks and boats. The cabin had everything you could need.

Spacious cabin with a lake view

This home was perfect for our friend-family get away. Plenty of space to spend time together or spread out. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful view. Easy trip to Providence Canyons. Hostess was very responsive and provided a great amount of detail.

Summer Trip with family

The home was beautiful as well as the view. We had to move a twin bed upstairs because of the spiral staircase that is a little tricky to use. My mother is 76 and had recently injured her arm. I was questioned by the owner who is also the host about the bed. Apparently when we checked out today she watched what we were doing.. Over the past seven years we have used Vrbo and had cameras on the premises but never have I been questioned or had issues when anything I have ever done for my family. I am disappointed how this was handled especially since she was so accommodating and allowed us to rent an additional night. I will not return to this location.

Place was great. Only thing is I wish the master bathroom upstairs had a shower and not a tub only. I’m a little big for bubble bath. Ha!

Beautiful cabin, beautiful view

The cabin was extremely clean and thoughtfully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked and drawer labels made it easy to find items quickly. The beds are comfy and so are the furnishings with plenty of seating for a large group. The view from the balcony overlooking the lake is peaceful and the sunsets amazing. Our group of ladies enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

The Cabin and its view of the lake was fantastic. The amenity's within the cabin were just over the top. All you needed was your food and clothes everything else was there including snacks! Would stay here again..

Lakefront cabin

I spent a couple of days here with several girlfriends. Location on the lake is lovely. The cabin is roomy and very well stocked with everything one needs. The place was spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable. Outside deck and the surrounding grounds of the property were enjoyable. Everything is provided to either do nothing, play games or just enjoy the sunsets. Only point to be aware is that you need to be able to climb stairs to get to any of the bedrooms. Also note that the spiral staircase can be a bit challenging to use when you are carrying a suitcase or even medium sized tote bags. Beyond that, the place is a great vacation getaway. Highly recommend this place.

Cousin's Retreat

We needed a site near Eufaula for their Pilgrimage and large enough to accommodate three couples over the age of 65. This cabin is the perfect size & location. Clean, fully furnished kitchen, bedrooms are spacious & comfortable. The spiral stairs from main floor to ground floor were a challenge but we managed very well and were thankful for a genuinely safe place to retreat when a tornado was in the area. A quiet neighborhood and beautiful views from the porch are added benefits. Spacious living & dining areas gave us the ability to comfortably visit and enjoy time together. We highly recommend and hope to return again.

AL BASS Nation weekend stay

Everything was perfect. Kitchen utensils / accessories were unbelievably organized and very well laid out. Will definitely stay here again (if possible). Two minor issues: 1) Would be nice to have a few electrical outlets somewhere on the porch or at the front of the house to be able to plug boat chargers in. We had to run long electrical cords to back of house to charge boats. 2) We could not get any live TV channels on the TV. Would be nice to have some way to log into YouTube TV or other streaming service. We all had different streaming accounts, but it would not let us log in because those apps were not available.

Fishing trip for Bassmaster Open

This property is perfect for a group planning a fishing trip to Lake Eufaula. 6 grown men stayed comfortably with room to park 3 trucks and boats.
