Quaint cottage overlooking Beurys Lake...or as my dad lovingly says..."its more like a shallow pond". For those who love a sweet quiet cottage get away with a gorgeous view, this is the perfect place for you. Kayaks and a small boat are here for your use...on my shallow, but pretty lake. Cottage has recently been renovated with love.
2 Queen bedrooms on main level…one with private full bath. Loft area has 2 twin beds…not navigable by very young kiddos or some adults (access is with a ladder)

Jeep jamboree weekend

We had a wonderful time at the boathouse. House was very clean and quaint. We enjoyed all the wildlife.

We were very impressed with how well kept the house was. Along with the availability to use the boat and the fishing poles it was too cold for us to swim. But we would love to come back when it’s warmer.

Perfect Stay

Laura took care of everything and we had a nice, relaxing time while visiting family and Knoebel’s. We hope to stay at the Boat House for our next trip.

This property is so well-appointed and clean. We appreciate the attention to details and all of the extras that came with it (kayaks, paddle boards, games, etc).The only downside is the loft space is a little tricky to access for little kids and it gets very hot.

The Boathouse is a wonderful place to stay! The lake is so peaceful with plenty of wildlife to watch. The host thought of everything when it comes to the kitchen and enjoying your stay. It is small and quaint, perfect for 4. My only wish was a little more sunshine during our visit! Oh and we call the goose with the broken wing Larry. Be sure to say Hi!

I instantly fell in love with Boathouse on Moon Lake! The pictures in the listing only touched on how charming it is. I visited relatives in Mt Carmel and Kulpmont as a kid quite often. I was SHOCKED that there was such a sweet place in the middle of coal country!! The weather for our stay was rainy and cool- but the ducks and geese kept us amused- especially the ducklings..so so cute. I can’t wait to get back again. Thankful for such great cousin’s weekend!

Relaxing stay

We loved the cabin by the lake. So many amenities to take advantage of! We used the kayaks, sat by the fire pit, used the outdoor grill and dining area, and enjoyed the back porch. It’s definitely the place to go to relax. Everything was provided (toiletries, kitchen and laundry needs). We had an amazing time!

Beautiful Lake House

This is a beautiful house on a nice quiet lake. The house was clean, and well kept, and the beds were very comfortable. Checking in and out is easy and effortless and Laura is extremely fast to reply if you have any questions. We will definitely be staying here again!

Stay at Moon Lake

This was an ideal location for us for a short stay near Ashland. The property is very well equipped, comfortable, and in a beautiful and quiet location. We slept well, we relaxed well and the host Laura responded extremely quickly to our queries/questions and was very helpful in meeting all our needs. We would certainly recommend to others and it would be our first choice again when we need to be in Ashland.

Loved the cabin

My husband and I stayed in The Boat House with another couple for three nights and we loved it. The cabin is so cute and so well appointed. The view from the porch is just beautiful. We made a small mistake by coming Monday- Thursday. I didn’t realize that most restaurants are closed Monday & Tuesday. I grew up in Ashland and we visited some of my favorite places, Knoebels, Yuengling Brewery, The Pioneer Tunnel, and Francesco’s restaurant. It was so fun! The only complaint I have is with the road leading to the cabin once you get into the grove There are so many pot holes and many of them you can’t avoid.

Great getaway

Great experience. The owner was very responsive. The house cane with everything we needed. I loved sitting on the porch & looking at the lake. It was very relaxing. Great job on the decorating. The kids loved the loft. Would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful lakeside retreat

Laura's place was simply charming and exactly as pictured. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks, relaxing on the front porch and watching the ducks. The cottage was clean, there was a generous supply of bath towels and the kitchen was well stocked. For those looking for information on the matresses, we found one bed to be firm and one to be soft. Laura was very responsive and we truly enjoyed our stay.
