This Incredible Log Cabin, located in Alton on Smith Point Road, has a classic log cabin feel with many modern upgrades, fireplace, water frontage, boat slip, indoor pool. The amenities of this home will make every member in the family happy to have stayed here! You will not want to miss out!

The main floor has an open concept kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, each with a Queen bed and a full bathroom. The living area leads to a wonderful enclosed porch that is the perfect place to enjoy a meal or relax with your family and guests.

Upstairs, in the main house, there is an additional bedroom (King bed), a lofted sleeping area with 2 Twin beds, and a full bathroom.

The lower level of this home is where you will find a bar area, desk with printer for working, laundry room, a half bath, an indoor pool, sauna and tiki bar!!

Above the detached-garage you will find an in-law apartment (guest house) with two bedrooms (one room with 3 Twin beds, the other with 1 queen and 2 twins), a full kitchen, and living area with futon and a full bath. This is a great area to send the adult children to have their own space or another family joining yours!

No matter the weather, this home is the place to be! From relaxing inside by the pool on the cold winter days, to those hot summer days of enjoying the small sandy beach area on Lake Winnipesaukee, you will have access to one spot in the Boathouse, which is shared! There is no dock to use!

Bring your boat and beach towels to enjoy this amazing property!

This does share a driveway with neighbors.

This is a dog friendly home! There is a pet agreement that will need to be signed prior to arrival and a pet fee will be added to your reservation as well.

Please note: Sheets and towels ARE included in this rental. Just bring your own beach towels for the lake and pool! Pets are allowed with prior owner approval and a pet fee. There are no beach chairs, please bring some of your own if you want to. Although we take every precaution to keep listing details current and accurate, errors in price and/or descriptions may occur in our literature. We reserve the right to correct any such error. This is the perfect setting for a large family gathering! We loved floating on the lake, splashing in the pool and hanging out on the porch.

Christmas Break

We stayed between Christmas and New Years to go skiing at Gunstock - it rained 2 out of the 3 days but the house was so great with the indoor pool we didn't mind being stuck inside. We had an issue with the TV in the pool area and someone came out to look at it for us which was appreciated. Only thing I would recommend is adding a hot tub! Great place and thinking of renting again in the summer to enjoy the lake!

We had a fantastic week! The house was very clean, spacious and great for a group of 12. The pool house was fun and spotless. We enjoyed a few nights by the pool and in the sauna. The boathouse worked well for our boat rental. The yard and small beach were great for the dogs. The farm table on the sun porch was perfect for family meals and games! We wish we could have swapped the main kitchen with the kitchen in the apartment as counter space is limited as are utensils! However, we did manage to cook some great meals regardless. All in all, another perfect week at the lake!

Great stay.

The key for the apartment over the garage did not work but the door was open. More coffee cups are needed. More lights are needed in the master bedroom. Mirror in the master bath is needed.Another set of silverware is needed even for 12 people. Front door bar has burrs that cut hands. We put aluminum foil on it . More drying towels are needed in the kitchen. More sharp knives are needed in the kitchen. Need lights in the laundry room.

Cons: The grille was out of propane, once filled the regulator needed to be reset every time it was used. Although the ad boasts of an outside fire pit/place, once we arrived we were informed that we could not use it. The ad also boasts of both a boat house and a dock to use, the dock being imperative to us due to our boat being large, so we got confirmation via email that we can have dock access and boat house access only to find upon arrival that dock access is not allowed. No closet space, hangers or hooks in bunkhouse. Pros: It’s located in a very nice spot on the lake. The pool was great The houses were clean

No dock as advertised. Only 5 bedrooms

We are seasoned renters with 3 generations in our group. We have been renting on the lake for 10 years and we know what we need to accommodate our family. We are willing to pay for that too. This house advertised a dock that we confirmed over the phone 2 times(because there were no pictures of it) and were told we could swim and fish off of it. There was no dock! There are only 5 bedrooms, with 6 listed. The bed count is correct though. The boat house was in need of repair and had many hazards hanging over the very tight spacing. The side entrances to the boathouse had no rubber on them, they were splintered wood and a very narrow opening. We removed several piles of dog poop from the yard that our grandchildren were playing in(the yard not the poop.) The little sandy beach was great for the toddlers.The indoor pool was great for everyone. The kitchen had no storage space for food and very little counter space for food prep. Only 2 dish towels were provided. A home of this size and advertised head count should be much better supplied and have storage for food and meal prep. The in-law apartment was not outfitted with many basic items such as dishes, toilet paper holder, dishwasher, etc. It seems to have been newly updated but really isn't quite finished for rentals. We will not rent here again.
