Lake Michigan West Bay Waterfront Custom Built Bungalow - Sleeps 10

Create incredible memories at this one of a kind custom lakefront home designed to appreciate the west bay Lake Michigan waterfront from inside and outside this private setting. Perfect for a peaceful getaway, nightly bonfires, sunbathing on a private deck at shoreline with steps down to private beach and water fun in shallow west grand traverse bay.

Pull into the drive and recognize the peaceful setting surrounded on both sides by other family retreats.

Layout offers great functionality for a couple, or even an extended family week of vacation. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES!! Including bachelor, bachelorette, birthday or loud parties, due to noise restrictions set by township and not appropriate in this residential area.

First floor offers large great room with open kitchen with island, fully stocked for at home cooking. Large covered porch facing water is perfect for lounging, outdoor dining or just appreciating the sunrises and sunsets (south facing so sun all day long). First floor primary bedroom suite (king size bed) with private attached bath and french doors to private rear deck with outdoor shower (with heated water). Upstairs features 2nd living area with two more bedrooms (one with two queens and one with queen and 2 singles (portable crib available also) and full bath.

Laundry in unit. Beach raft available.

Area attractions within walking distance include: two k's cidery and Hendricks Park Public Beach (just 6 doors down the street).

Within 5 minute drive of: Hop Lot Brewery and Dining, Downtown Suttons Bay and all the town offerings, Boat Launch.

Within 15 minute drive of downtown Traverse City.

Amazing house and great location

We loved the house and how well it was stoked! You can really tell the hosts care about the home. The beach area was amazing and there is a ton of extras like beach chairs, kayak, toys, etc! We loved this house and recommend anyone

Wow! This place is wonderful! It's like a good friend or family member had welcomed you into their home and made sure everything was perfect. The house is exceptionally clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. It's extremely well stocked with plenty of paper goods, towels, toiletries, extra sheets, and all of the kitchen appliances you could need! The house is on a quiet street, yet just 5 minutes away from downtown Suttons Bay anf 15 minutes from Traverse City. The beach and the deck area is amazing. There were plenty of chairs, a fire pit, two kayaks, a SUP, a water pad for the kids and more! The water in the bay was warm and crystal clear. We traveled with our two teen boys and had a wonderful time. The host was kind and quick to respond. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Fantastic weekend away!

We booked this house for a girl's trip and it was perfect for what we needed! We had 10 women and the sleeping arrangements worked out perfectly. Plenty of space for us to hang out together or so our own thing. The house was beautiful, well maintained and in a great location! We enjoyed walking down to the beach. Teri, the host was quick to respond to messages and very kind. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great Host, Great House

Tucked into a beautiful neighborhood on the water, this house was a great place to catch up with friends in an even better location. We were a group of friends staying together for a wedding and the host was kind to give recommendations and answered every question we had promptly, kindly, and professionally. Beauty all around

This property is better than what is stated in the description or shown in the pictures. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, safe, and convenient to everything we wanted to do. The owners are generous in all they provided with this home. We all left amazed at the beauty of Michigan! We will do this trip again. There is so much to see and do and experience and love about this place!

Just So much fun!

Location is excellent.Close to restaurants…art fair best part…private deck … with umbrellas.Really kid friendly beach .Sunsets are Beautiful!!!!The house is like coming home to a family cottage .It has herbs and spices and kitchen supplies.I had to take my staples back to my car.Games,chairs,towels are great quality and comfortable.There were Yeti cups for the best morning coffee experience .We had such great holiday.

Slice of Heaven in Northern Michigan’s West Bay|Lake Michigan

When we came down the street, we realized just how private and quiet this waterfront retreat would be. From the minute we walked in the door, it felt as if a family member gave us keys to their private retreat for our use for the weekend. The owners have done a fantastic job of furnishing the home. With the outdoor living area, there are three common areas for lounging and hanging. Perfect for families that are joining together. We all slept with our windows open at night, and it was incredibly quiet. The deck overlooking the lake is fantastic, and the steps down to the private beach even better. We did small fires at the waters edge at night, made s’more‘s, and told stories, and laughed as a family. It’s as if time stopped while we were here, allowing us to all be connected in a way we haven’t been in years. We all used the outdoor shower off the first floor primary suite. It was absolutely fantastic with temperature control and all of the personal care products, you need ready. The town of Suttons Bay is an eight minute drive. The best kept secret beach is five doors down the street, and a perfect distance for all ages to walk down and enjoy. The Blackstone grill was awesome for making dinner, and we even considered doing breakfast on it. I just can’t say enough positive things about this location, the house, the beach, the water, and these incredible hosts. Given the opportunity to stay here, we would choose this first over any other options!

My husband I custom built this home when we were able to acquire this parcel of land we had been watching for years. Our vision was to create a peaceful retreat that we could enjoy with those we love.

This is a very quiet area allowing for a wonderful retreat setting. Private sun deck. steps to private beach and waterfront. Large front yard with firepit and plenty of room for outdoor games. Easily accommodates parking for 6 cars.

Fully updated and coastal comfortable transitional décor creates an at home feel for those looking to enjoy getting away yet feeling at home.
