Shipping Container Cabin

Number 4 in builds for the Box Hop, the Roca Box Hop - pronounced [ROH] + [KUH] means “rock” in Spanish, and we couldn’t think of a more fitting name for this hop; a whimsical home wedged between towering rocks. The aesthetic in this box is eclectic and unique and fun! Like a fairytale, the Roca transports you to a world of its own, where you can cozy up with a book, pull out a board game or simply sit and enjoy the view and sounds of nature all around.

2 bedrooms; 1 queen size beds with lofted twinXL above & 1 king size bed
One full bathroom & One half bathroom
Full kitchen stocked with cookware & serving dishes
Washer and dryer
Air mattress (queen) available

The Roca was the first Box Hop built on the new 75 acre parcel of land just 5 minutes from the original property. Once you enter the property, you wind into its beauty to find the Roca tucked in a canyon. It is an adventure of its own driving up to the hop and turning in between towering rock cliffs as you arrive. On the property, we have a couple marked trails where you can hike to access a large cave and waterfall just around the bend from The Roca’s outdoor deck.

The suspended outdoor deck houses the hot tub, gas grill and also includes at outdoor shower. This deck is the perfect lookout to see all the canyon has to offer.

It's worth noting that the property is a total of 75 acres, home to 2 waterfalls and a plethora of hiking possibilities right on site.

Pet Policy: we allow up to 2 dogs at this property. Tenant shall remit to Host a pet fee in the amount of One hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00) for pet(s) on the Premises, which is due and payable at the same time and by the same method as Tenant’s payment of Rent. We ask that you keep your dogs off of furniture, don't leave them unattended at the house and clean up any waste.

The Coolest Box!

This was by far the best rental I have ever had! Unique box hops with views like you have never experienced. Comfortable and very clean. It was the perfect place to celebrate our daughter's wedding at The Seventy-Five Venue. A must stay!!

Beautiful Place, But Dirty

Stayed at the Roca a few weekends ago. Awesome place but dirty! A clump of someone’s hair in the shower wall, dirty shower basin, and someone’s dirty ear plug under my bed! Gross!!

Seth and Emily have used their passion and creativity to design a masterpiece! The Roca inspires awe. Not only was our stay luxuriously comfortable, but over the course of the 2 nights and 3 days we continued to notice small and not so small details that made us smile and feel like we were experiencing something truly magical. The natural beauty of this spot is so EPICALLY on display that it seems as if you are in a different world. We will definitely be back! And while we will certainly recommend this to friends, we also feel like it needs to be secretive because it's that special and unique.

Super interesting setup

Great, unique getaway location and setting, and we didn’t even get to the hot tub or outdoor fire setup. Nearby hikes are amazing. Who knew so close to Columbus? Only hitch was some maintenance hiccups that we are sure will be addressed soon (downstairs toilet, shower handle, 1 of the kitchen chairs). Still had a great mini family getaway. Be ready to drive up a steep route to get there. Best to have an suv in inclement weather for sure.

I loved everything about the Roca - especially the amazing decorating!! The only thing that was hard for me was not having blinds! I was grateful for the seclusion but having blinds at least in the bedroom would have helped me sleep better. It was a bit creepy.

Fabulous Stay in a Magically Unique Surrounding

We stayed at The Roca Box Hop to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. The Roca fit the bill exactly for a romantic, secluded, unique and fun get - away. The property perfectly suited our needs. We also enjoyed the Hocking Hills Area during the days and we had no idea such great hiking and beauty existed in Ohio. We have a son who recently moved to Cincinnati and we hope to visit again (perhaps try another Box Hop) and bring along family to share the experience.) Also - the information provided prior to arrival was spot - on, prompt and thorough. And...what a pleasure to not have a binder full of instructions and tasks to attend to upon our departure. The Owners made our stay as simple as can be.

Absolutely Magical!

My husband and I escaped for 4 nights to this cozy and eclectic little getaway nestled between moss covered rocks and surrounded by trees. It was the perfect place to decompress and get away from our busy lives. It was private yet very close to the Oasis Coffee shop which we liked to visit each morning and we found some excellent dining in Lancaster about 15 minutes away. We were lucky enough to have a couple clear nights and enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub as well as our bedroom which includes two walls of windows as well as one right above the bed. Rainy days were enjoyed on the couch of the adorable living room reading, playing cards and watching TV. We are so happy we found this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and unique place to stay!

Hey guys, I'm sure you get this a million times over--but your places are out of this world. We had followed you for years on Instagram, and finally were able to make our way out to stay here, and it didn't disappoint one minute!! Every detail, every little nook...just so thoughtful and well done. Keep doing what you're doing--truly your calling :) A few things that we found (which did NOT effect the experience, but figured you'd want to know): - upstairs clothes hook in bathroom is coming off the wall...just needs tightening - sink in upstairs bathroom doesn't drain well at all...might need some draino or something - The lighter on your grill isn't working. We just used the hand lighter and/or a match to start it, but some people may not know what to do - just an aesthetic idea...but some uplighting on the rock formations outside the kitchen windows would be sweet at night! All that to say--we loved your place and will wholeheartedly recommend to anyone heading to the area!

Nestled in a sandstone canyon, the Roca Box Hop: a whimsical, fairytale esque cabin built from shipping containers. It felt like a secret world all its own. The location is nothing short of extraordinary: a suspended deck overlooking the canyon, dramatic rock formations, trails leading to a hidden waterfall, and a suspended hot tub that made stargazing feel like a transcendental experience. Inside, the design is eclectic, imaginative, and beautifully curated—a perfect blend of fun, comfort, and architectural ingenuity. With full plush bedroom spaces (a king bed, Queen bed, and a lofted twin XL above, plus an air mattress), and thoughtful touches in every corner, the cabin exudes cozy luxury. But what really stood out was how impeccably clean and well maintained the space was; every surface gleamed, and we felt instantly comfortable and cared for. Our stay was absolutely unforgettable. We cozied up by the chiminea among the rocks, indulged in the hot tub under a blanket of stars, and spent hours exploring the private trails, cave, and waterfall just steps from our door. It felt like a hidden gem brought to life. Magical, private, and breathtaking in every way. If you’re searching for a cabin that transcends the ordinary…one with an utterly singular setting, pristine cleanliness, and a mind blowingly unique design: look no further. The Roca Box Hop is more than a getaway; it’s a transformative experience. Five stars simply don’t do it justice.
