Beautifully crafted cabin in the subdivision of Jefferson Heights. Easy access to Hwy 285, easy commute to Denver, close to skiing and world-class fishing. Main level is a cozy living area, kitchen, dinette, full bath, and bedroom. Upper level is the roomy master loft with a sleeper sofa. Beautiful lot with unsurpassed views, and a spacious meadow below frequented by elk, deer, and antelope.

WIFI with a smart TV.

60 minutes from 470 and 285, 20 minutes to Fairplay , and 60 minutes to Breckenridge.

4wd/AWD may be required during Winter months.

A twice a year getaway for me and my long time buddy. September aspens were just turning; weather was great for hiking the nearby leg of the CO Trail; the hot tub provided spectacular views of big sky sunsets; and the kitchen and BBQ produced smoked ribs, omelets and bacon, and seasonal Colorado peaches and sweet corn. This cabin works great for us. And the attention to detail by the host is much appreciated along with immediate response if we have any questions or issues. Already looking forward to next year's visits!!

Sunset from the hot tub. Changes every night. Always spectacular.
Mom and calf up at the Lake. Always a treat. Big telephoto lens not required - this from an iPhone. Just keep your distance!

Beautiful cabin

Lovely property. Beautiful view of the mountain range. There are a few neighbors but so very quiet. Nice grocery store in fairplay. Fantastic coffee shop and bakery in Alma. Other than that youll be driving an hour along very scenic routes for good food and quaint towns.

Beautiful views from the cabin! Hot tub was great after hiking all day. Pans were in very rough shape is all and we had trouble cooking breakfast on them.

Very Accommodating

Plenty of room for all of us! And perfect to get away for a few days. Grateful for the plastic utensils for the toddlers as well!

Perfect anniversary trip

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. Everything was perfect. The view from the front door of the cabin was amazing. Hosts were fantastic. Couldn't ask for more!

This was about the 5th or 6th time my buddy and I have stayed at the Cabin. Do it twice a year. Hiked part of the Colorado Trail; played Backgammon; caught up and told stories; and slow smoked some baby back ribs on the BBQ. Housekeeping is at a new level as we found the Cabin in immaculate condition. The new spa was also a delight since Park County has dark skies designation. Already booked our September stay. Hosts are great and really make the trip relaxing with no surprises - except for the Moose and her calf that paid a visit one evening as we were preparing dinner. AMAZING!

Thank you for a great 3 night stay. Loved the hot tub and entire space was very clean and well equipped with all the comforts of home. Upstairs bed is very comfortable

Little piece of heaven

This place was everything we wanted/ needed. Beautiful views, shut off from every day life. Definitely worth it and will for sure be back.

Great Honeymoon

Fall colors in the high country

Another of our semi-annual trips to the cabin. Instead of fishing this time, we simply hiked around each day in the Jefferson Lake Rec Area in the Aspens; smoked some outstanding baby back ribs on the gas grille; enjoyed our 2- person backgammon tournament; and ended each day gazing at the Milky Way in the hot tub on very clear moonless nights. Absolutely perfect venue to relax and enjoy a real gem of a log cabin. HIGHLY recommended!!!

Another great fishing Base Camp

Two fishing buddies hanging out for the week fishing, cooking, backgammon, and (re)telling old stories in the hot tub while stargazing at the Milky Way. Great venue with its solitude and remoteness, but great access to several rivers and Jefferson Lake for fishing and hiking. Will definitely rebook for our fall trip. The cabin is very well equipped so all we brought was fishing gear and food.

This is such a cozy and cute place to stay. Stunning views, comfortable bed, full kitchen, and an outdoor hot tub. We enjoyed a long weekend here and highly recommend it!

Awesome Getaway

Enjoyed area hiking, fly fishing and just driving around the area. The property was just the right size, very clean, warm, and adequately stocked. We didn’t get to try the hot tub, but it did look very inviting. The host was terrific and always available.

Anniversary trip in a fantastic Cabin!

The pictures don’t give this wonderful cabin justice. I knew the view was wonderful, but once you are there in person, it’s captivating! I stared at it for hours. The cabin itself was very warm and inviting, make this a perfect retreat for those wishing to unplug. Be prepared to see some elk roaming the front yard! It’s a quick drive down the road for all that Fairplay has to offer. If you are looking to do some horseback riding, make sure to get in touch with Ella at Red Valley Rebels. We will be returning every year for as long as they let us!!!! Don’t wait, just book it and you will have no regrets.
