Enjoy the beautiful woodland and hillside! Peace & quiet with the North Branch of the Potomac River across Rt 51 (walking or bicycling distance!). Canoeing, kayaking, on the Potomac River - just across the road! Bicycling on the C&O Canal Tow Path (Spring Gap Mile Post 173.3) is also just across the road.
The house includes a Trex deck to enjoy the lovely outdoors. Large gourmet kitchen with Jenn Air range and coffee bar. All bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas are spacious! Living room has gas fireplace insert and large Smart TV for cozy relaxation. Rec Room offers a Foosball Table with freestanding gas stove. Twenty minutes from historic downtown Cumberland and just across the Potomac River from West Virginia. Two sets of sliding glass doors onto deck from the Living Room. Sliding glass doors onto large deck from Primary Bedroom. Large deck across entire front of the house.
Property includes outdoor security cameras (we have a wide range of wildlife on the property).

A beautiful, nicely appointed property. Hosts were gracious and very accommodating. Very comfortable, and thoughtful touches made the stay even better. Nice setting. The town is lovely & outdoor activities are available and enjoyable.

Lovely home, great kitchen

Wonderful hosts, check-in was easy and informative. We like to cook for ourselves most of the time, even when traveling, and the kitchen was perfect. Would love to go back for a longer stay.

Woodland Oasis truly lives up to its name. Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. The home is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the quick and easy access to the Potomac River and the C&O Canal Towpath—ideal for walks, nature time, and simply unwinding.The setting offers a perfect balance of privacy and convenience, and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. It was an ideal place to spend quality time together, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay.Highly recommended—we would absolutely love to return.

Wonderful weekend

This property is gorgeous and really clean, well maintained. The owners have thought of everything- all the creature comforts! We loved it and highly recommend. The photos don’t do it justice, it’s like a magazine.

Beautiful Property just minutes from downtown

The owners of the property were great to deal with and communicate with. Residence was beautiful with the owner’s attention to detail ensuring you had everything you needed. One of the nicest VRBO houses we have stayed at. Owner’s did a very nice job with the small details when it came to the interior. Highly Recommended!

We had a lovely autumn weekend with friends in this oasis in the woods. It was like being in a warm and cozy tree house. Beautiful view, lovely walks, bike rides, conversations around the fire pit with outdoor games provided by the hosts. After dinner, prepared in a well stocked kitchen, we played games and worked on puzzles. We really appreciated that there were 3 comfortable bedrooms AND three bathrooms. Thank you for all of the little touches you put into this house to make it a truly delightful place to regenerate.

Very nice place to stay. Communication with Mike and Brenda was great. Would have loved to stay longer. Lots of things to do in and around Cumberland. M and B had lots of pamphlets for area, had water and snacks for us. We had a great time at this house. If you're in that area, try to rent this home. Good to meet you Mike. Woodland Oasis

Our stay at the Woodland Oasis was lovely while attending an event in Cumberland. Our hosts were extremely thoughtful and responsive. The house was immaculate and such nice amenities to come home to after a long day. We would happily stay here, again!

Lovely home

Family met here for Thanksgiving and we all loved the place. Large bedrooms and baths. Great room/Kitchen combo had everything we needed and more. We walked a short way to the C&O towpath each day to enjoy the wildlife along the river.

Peacefull retreat

We all had a wonderful time in Cumberland. The town offers so much to do, and the Woodland Oasis is a beautiful home. The house had everything that you need for your stay, was very clean and beautifully decorated. Brenda and Mike were very friendly and easy to communicate with. They also supplied you with coffee, water and snacks which was very nice and appreciated. I would totally recommend this home to my friends and family.

It lived up to its name! Woodland Oasis! Very private! Kitchen was open, spacious and accommodating. Complete with dishwasher, microwave, full size and beverage frig; plenty of perks with waters, snacks and teas /coffees. Plenty of pans and dishes, etc! Both decks were scenic and relaxing! The firepit out back was enjoyed by our group many nights! Hosts were fabulous! Perfect place for a reset!! Thank you!!

Well maintained home, good hospitality!

We loved the location of this property because it was quiet and surrounded by trees. It is far enough into the woods yet close enough to conveniences and shopping. We really appreciated the hospitality of Mike and Brenda stocking the home with plenty of snacks and paper products for use during our stay.

Woodland Oasis

The property has many impressive features. It is a spacious, clean, and well-maintained home. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts anticipated the needs for a party of 3 adults. The kitchen/dining area includes a coffee bar and a refrigerator under the counter, well stocked with bottled water. And if you choose to cook, you'll find a nice selection of cookware items. Lastly, well stocked with paper items and cleaning supplies.

We are pleased to give Woodland Oasis five star reviews across-the-board! The online photos definitely do not do it justice. All of the rooms are incredibly inviting and are decorated in a wonderful and welcoming style. From the well appointed kitchen and coffee station to the spacious living room and bedrooms to the luxurious linens (including super plush towels and bathrobes), Woodland Oasis felt like a home away from home! Our interactions with Mike and Brenda were nothing short of perfect! Their pride of ownership and gift of hospitality are clearly reflected in every aspect of the home. We look forward to our next stay if our travels again find us in the Cumberland area! Absolutely stunning!

Excellent property, very well maintained. The best furnished VRBO we have stayed at. Very Nice!

We had a family emergency upon arriving. The Hosts could not be more accommodating. We were disappointed we were not able to fully enjoy this wonderful home and area. Excellent!Two possible improvements. 1-Front Door key pad gave us trouble 2-Dishwasher was very hard to start.That’s it. Hope it helps.

Great House

It's a house in tall woods, and it's great. Clean and modern. The property is very well managed. It was a pleasure to stay there for the week. With the trees in foliage, it was isolated and private. The place has a bit of a treehouse feel. Excellent distant train sounds, murmuring not intrusive. Twenty minutes from town, but it seems like yer fifty miles out.

Relaxing time in Cumberland

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay here. The area is beautiful with rolling hills and grand vistas. The city of Cumberland is full of history with the C&O Canal and the endless bike trails. It was especially nice to come back to this lovely house after a day of exploring the area. Brenda and Mike have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Communication was easy. The house was spotless and well stocked with anything you needed. The house is set back from the road in a heavily wooded area so you had the feeling of privacy. I highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to experience the beauty and tranquility of the countryside in this special part of Maryland…….and stay in a lovely home!
