Welcome to Birch Hill Cabin...Your home base just 10 minutes to Gore Mountain in the Lake George region. Take advantage of all it has to offer with 5 minutes to Loon Lake for summer activities! We're centrally located and under 25 minutes to Lake George, Bolton Landing, and Schroon Lake. This home is a 4-season cabin that sleeps 6 with the full ADK experience. Built for families or small groups looking to get away and keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located cabin. Book today so you can Ski, hike, bike, fish, paddle and play.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It's lovely - very clean, comfortable, and really nicely decorated. The location is fantastic as it's in a quiet area but an easy ride to Gore Mountain for skiers. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed. The owners were in touch to make sure everything was smooth, but because they left such clear instructions about how everything worked and lots of other info, we never needed to ask them anything (which we really appreciated). We would absolutely come back!

Quick Holiday Getaway

We booked a quick getaway for the 4th of July weekend and had an amazing time as we enjoyed what the house had to offer as well as the surrounding area. We were able to enjoy kayaking, the hot tub, campfires, and a movie night. The house had a very cozy feel, and the hosts were available for questions and provided responses quickly. The entire family enjoyed themselves.

Amazing stay at Birch Hill

Birch hill is a beautiful newly renovated and well appointed cabin. We stayed for a week and loved everything about the home. The owners were very communicative and made themselves available for all of our needs and inquiries. Amazing place to stay - highly recommended.

Cozy and Fun at Birch Hill Cabin

Birch Hill Cabin offered everything our family needed to get away for relaxation, skiing, and family time together in what feels like a beautiful home away from home. The owners are friendly and kept in touch as needed. The hot tub and backyard provided the perfect peacefulness after a fun and busy day on the slopes at Gore Mt. Highly suggest this home!

Charming cabin

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend while watching our son race at Gore Mountain. The cabin is clean, cozy, and well stocked. With a very comfortable master bed!! Lindsay and John were very communicative and answered our questions promptly. We would love to rent again if we find ourselves back in the area. Thank you!!

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was perfect! It was immaculately cleaned and had everything we needed to have a great weekend away with our two teenage boys. The owners were very nice and kept the line of communication open and checked in before and during our stay just to make sure we knew they were just a text or call away if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!

Family fun at Birch Hill

We had an amazing stay at Birch Hill! The home and hosts had all the amenities my picky tweens and teen could ask for! The home is perfectly located close to grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants and 10 mins from Gore mountain where we skied. It was big and roomy and enjoyed home cooked meals around the table and played fooze ball and skeet ball. There were beautiful log cabin wood decorations, furniture and finishing touches throughout. Lindsay and John were responsive and amazing hosts. The perfect place to make memories for a fun family retreat in ADK. Thanks for having us!

A restorative reprieve at Birch Hill Cabin

Our family had a fantastic stay at Birch Hill Cabin! Communication with John and Lindsay was easy and prompt and they provided a thorough packet on the property and nearby activities. The cabin is lovely and clean and much thought put into everything — from the outdoor-inspired decorations to the ample blankets to the high chair and booster seat. Traveling with a toddler is stressful but we didn’t want for anything. The cabin in very baby-friendly. It is nestled by a lovely hill with much wildlife so many lovely sitting spaces. We enjoyed listening the rain, bird watching, making s’mores, and every minute at Birch Hill Cabin. 10/10 Thank you Lindsay and John for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful!

Our stay at the Birch Hill Cabin was perfect. The cabin itself was clean, cozy and comfortable. The hot tub is amazing. Perfect to come back to after a long day of skiing. Location is great. Its secluded but not so much that you are in the middle of no where and can’t get anywhere. The decor and finishing touches were perfect, esp the outdoor setup. Skeeball table was a fun extra! I personally loved the extra TV sitting room w/futon so my daughter and I could binge-watch our shows while the boys watched football. John & Lindsay were so great to work with. They quickly responded to all of our needs and questions. And finally, we very much appreciated the cabin being pet friendly so the entire family could be there! We will def be back!

The perfect getaway

I have so many great things to say about this place! My husband and I stayed here mid-August 2024 for a whole week. The house is very clean and has all modern appliances. Everything you could need in the kitchen is provided. The beds are very comfortable, and the whole cabin vibe is so cozy and perfect. Smart TVs and excellent wifi are provided (I have t-mobile and only had one bar of reception but the wifi works great). There’s plenty of fire wood to sit by the fire pit every night and roast marshmallows in the back yard. We saw deer every night and also some frogs and butterflies. There are neighbors on both sides, but they’re very quiet and distant enough to feel like you have privacy. The owners are super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I have no complaints about this place! We had a blast. For food in the area, check out Basil & Wick’s for dinner and the main street restaurant in Chestertown for breakfast and lunch. The Log Jam is a steakhouse a little farther of a drive. For activities, we did the Buck Mountain hike (not easy!) as well as the four waterfall hike and the stone bridge and cave hike, kayaking on Loon Lake, swimming at Hague Town beach, rail bikes along the Hudson in North Creek, and a day exploring Lake George Village. I highly recommend this cabin! We loved it!

John, an avid outdoorsman who enjoys landscaping, fishing, hunting, hiking and a good craft beer and Lindsay, a middle school counselor, who loves a good project are so excited to take on this new adventure.
We’ve enjoyed working on the home with our family and adding our own special touches. Some of the ADK style furniture was handmade by John, while Lindsay’s decorative touches can be seen throughout.

-Linens, Towels, Bedding
Blankets, pillows, sheets, and towels are provided;

-The property has cell service and Wi-fi however its the Adirondacks and service is often poor for cell phones. We suggest setting phones to W-FI calling during your stay for best results and have also provided a landline phone for additional phone service.

-The property has 1 security camera under the corner of the covered porch by the side door. It is both a flood light and camera only to monitor weather, driveway conditions, package delivery, and garbage removal. The field of view aims only on the driveway and not at space typically occupied by guests. It is triggered by motion only.

-Air conditioning from approximately (Memorial day - Labor Day)

-Please remember you are staying in our home, not a hotel. Please treat the house with respect. Additionally, as mentioned in the “house rules”, this is not an area for parties, as it is a quiet and peaceful retreat. Guests are asked to be respectful of the surrounding neighbors as it is a small community.

-Pets are welcome with additional fees and separate signed pet agreement.
