Cubby Bear for the Win!

I was extremely excited about our stay. The cabin definitely did not dissapoint. Everything we wanted to see was well within driving distance and grocery store was just a skip away. We saw a big black bear across the hill behind the cabin on the first day and I'd say it was a win for son! He wanted to see a bear so badly and Cubby Bear Cabin made that happen for him! Thank you for the pleasant experience!

This was a perfect place for us it was close and convenient to Dollywood! We loved the hot tub and the cabin was so cute. We will be back!

Weekend getaway

Enjoyed the stay!! It was nice to have “two living rooms” for two diff families… we slept comfortable! The cabin was close to Pigeon Forge especially the busy weekend of Jeep Invasion. We are proud we picked this cabin!!

A nice getaway

The house was perfect for us. We spent most of our days at the Ripken ballpark. It was nice to have a home base where the kids could unwind with games or a movie and even an occasional dip into the hot tub before we had to be back at it.

Weekend Get Away

This cabin is not too far from the island in Pigeon Forge and is in the mountains so you get the real experience of staying in them. It was clean and nice and slept 3 adults very comfortably. Host were excellent at communicating with me.It took the hot tub a long while to get warm enought to enjoy, but with time it did heat up. Would recommend this to someone 👌

Perfect for family and Wonderful location

This cabin was just perfect for us. It was close enough to all the “action” but far enough away you still could enjoy the beautiful mountains and nature. The cabin is not super high in mountains which was good for me because some of those other places seemed hard to drive up to lol. Josh was always very attentive and helpful. He went above and beyond making me a list of places to visit and eat he and other guests recommended and they were all great-making it easier for us to plan our days. The area is gorgeous but the amount of places to see and things to do is overwhelming! His help was greatly appreciated! I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful time!

I spoke with an agent via chat 20 minutes after I booked this and told her that I needed to cancel. She told me that I was getting a full refund which I’m currently waiting on.

Liked the two room setup and cabin

The stay was ok. We had issues on Sunday when we arrived. No instructions on tv and batteries were dead for the controllers, the toilet seat in master bath kept falling off, and the fireplace we were not able to use. We called the number for assistance and the answering service answered and said someone would be in touch. That never happened.We had to power up the hot tub as it was not working. The cabin was nice and decorated well. You should consider additional notes for the tv and other systems for use. Roger

Wonderful Experience

We enjoyed the location and the cabin very much. The owners were quick to respond to any issues we had through the app. My only piece of advice would be to put more light in the kitchen. It is very dark when trying to cook etc. The light over the sink is very dim and didn't make a difference. Also, if you require the dish washer to be ran, and a lot of places do, please provide more than "one" supply of dish washer soap. It is not convenient for guests to have to purchase a whole container for just a couple of times. Over all... fabulous and we would stay again, for sure.

I expected better...BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

I booked 4 nights. Keep in mind people are spending good hard-earned money for these types of vacations. For the price..not worth it. The furniture was dated. There was a musty smell in the cabin. The carpet is frayed on stair edges and outright dirty. The washing machine leaked onto the floor (owner's solution keep the door open). The windows were dirty and needed a good cleaning. Remember people like to look out the window and see the scenery. On day two, we came in late and that's when we discovered the kitchen had roaches. Infant and adult roaches (an indication of an infestation) were on the counter and were found inside the dishwasher. Plus, there were dirty dishes from the previous user in there. I had to contact the owner. I told him about it. He said it was the first time this has been brought to his attention...NEWS FLASH read your reviews on affiliated sites. In the middle of the night moved my family out. We had to get a hotel room. I was only refunded two of the four days. I was told by Josh (the owner) that he contacted VRBO for a refund. No response after 24 hrs. I contacted VRBO. They claimed to not know about this incident. VRBO was only able to recover money for the two days not used. To have to move a family out of the cabin in the middle of the night, shake out all belongings in order not to bring the roaches with them, to put a family at a health risk, I expected better. Overall, 1 star based the above mentioned experience.

We chose Black Bear Ridge Resort because of the beautiful views and well kept community. The roads are in great shape and the landscaping and community pools attract visitors from all over. The neighborhood is safe and the HOA does a great job fixing all issues.
