Sunlit Surf Studio offers its own private entrance, large bathroom with shower/tub. Equipped with a mini-fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Offering a cozy Queen size bed and a twin futon/couch bed.

This room is ideal for guests who are visiting Santa Cruz for the surf, beach, volleyball, hiking, and Boardwalk fun!!

Cozy space for couples or small families of three. The futon couch is firm and great for kiddos! We also offer a pack and play crib!

Parking pass for street parking on our block is provided.

Conveniently located between downtown Pacific Garden Mall and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Book now for your next beach vacation! Excellent for families, couples or traveling professionals. Perfect for short getaways or long holidays!

We encourage our guests to have a wonderful time while keeping normal noise levels and respecting neighbors and other renters traveling with their families. Downtown noise and nightlife becomes more noticeable in Spring and Summer - as this is a popular college/tourist town!

Parking downtown and in the surrounding beach and boardwalk area can be limited during special events, high seasons, holidays and weekends. If guests do not find permit parking on our block, we suggest parking at the meter options in our neighborhood along Pacific Ave and Front Street. Meter parking is easy using the Park Mobile app.

Santa Cruz stay

Loved the studio and the location. We were very comfortable and had no problems finding our way around the neighborhood and to the boardwalk area. House rules were very clear and we had everything we needed. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

Wonderful Spot

Very convenient cute house

Great house for a small family of three. Super close walking distance to the boardwalk and restaurants. Very clean and the owners were super communicative. Highly recommend for an easy weekends stay.

Great location

We had a great time. The location was perfect. Walkable to the beach and downtown! We had a bit of a noise issue with the renters in front, but ultimately made it a game. Parking can be tricky, but we lucked out day 2 and got a spot right in front of the unit and we had no reason to move the car so it worked out perfectly. The mattress and pillows were a bit challenging, but we worked it out.Perfect little frig/freezer! And having the microwave and coffee machine was awesome. Very comfortable place

Lovely studio close to the Boardwalk

We booked this studio to run Wharf to Wharf. What a lovely place to stay. It was accurately pictured and described on vrbo. They had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were so communicative and friendly. The check in and check out process was easy. They provide a wonderful binder with information and a parking permit which was helpful since Santa Cruz was crowded. The beach decor in the studio was cute. The bed was comfy and the bathroom had plenty of room. You are close to downtown and can walk to the Boardwalk. Overall this was a wonderful place to stay. I highly recommend it for anyone going to Santa Cruz. The price was right and the home clean, quiet, and cozy.

Great studio, I will be staying again soon!

I did a last minute one night trip to the beach and this studio was perfect for me. The unit is well equipped, very clean and well maintained. The front porch has a small table and 2 chairs, and there is a comfy chair in the foyer/entryway which are both very welcoming as you arrive to the property. Inside the owner supplied coffee, tea, hot cocoa and a few placesettings of dishes and utensils for use with takeout. Since the unit is walking distance to New Leaf market, TraderJoes and many restaurants, the microwave and fridge are a nice feature. I grabbed a beach chair that was provided and walked to the Santa Cruz pier and boardwalk (10 minute walk). The bed was very comfy, and the futon couch was perfect for watching Netflix after dinner. Highly recommend Firefly for bagels and coffee - just a 2 minute walk away. The neighborhood has a lot of new development so construction and traffic can cause minor inconvenience. The owners were very responsive on vrbo messaging as well as text. I will be a return visitor and hope to rent the adjoining 2 bedroom unit when I return with my family.

**Disappointing Experience – Misleading Description**

I had high hopes for this home based on its description, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The listing mentioned that it was close enough to walk to the beach, but the reality is quite different. The walk to the beach is over 25 minutes long, and it involves passing through a not-so-great neighborhood and alongside major roadways. The area also had a noticeable homeless presence, which made the walk uncomfortable. Another significant issue was the parking situation. The listing advertised a parking permit, but there was no on-street parking available. Upon check-in, I was informed that I'd need to pay for meter parking, which was an unexpected and a frustrating surprise. To make matters worse, there was a driveway on the property that remained unused for the first part of our stay, yet we were told we couldn’t park in it. The unit itself was uncomfortably hot, and the neighborhood didn’t feel safe enough to keep the windows open, making it difficult to cool down the space. Additionally, the home wasn’t as clean as I would have hoped; there were dirty dishes left in the kitchen, which made the place feel unkempt. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this studio hto a friend. It didn’t match the description and had several issues that made the stay less enjoyable.

Perfect location! Very clean and stocked. Great water pressure and comfortable bed. Walked to downtown Santa Cruz for Halloween festivities. Walked to beach for ocean view brunch. Driveway parking is a great bonus too.
