Adequate Stay, some issues.

Yes, this unit is outdated as you will read in other reviews so I won’t review based on that. However, there are a few issues…many of blinds need to be fixed, the kitchen is understocked with very few bowls, plastic cups, or lids for the cookware. Parrish management group was great, and brought in Tupperware for us, and the broken hose on The Lanai was replaced by the manager. We just feel like the property owner should up their game a little. Yes, the property was priced lower than many of the surrounding units, but not by much and we’ve stayed in other similarly priced units that were nicer, and more well stocked and maintained. Parrish for their part, was great on communication and the property was clean and had ample towels/linens and soaps.

Great experience, beautiful setting

The unit was a little dated but extremely clean, management was attentive and helpful throughout the stay. Beautiful location that was set on a hill overlooking Kapalua Bay. Great location, right next to the coastal trail and near amazing restaurants like Merriman’s (dinner), Island Vibes (coffee,breakfast,lunch) and The Gazebo (best mac nut pancakes ever). An overall good place!

We keep coming back to the Kapalua Bay Villas. Whales, walking paths, and the Sentry golf tournament make for a great stay on Maui.

Overall a great experience. The property is not flat. Wished there were less stairs to access beach and move about the property. This place is not for older less agile people.

Reviewer Comments: I usually don't write reviews, but when planning our trip I found reading the reviews for this condo very helpful, so I thought I'd contribute. We had a great stay at 12G5. It's tucked away at the end of the 12 block and has a nice large outdoor patio. Because it's at the end of the block, we hardly had anyone walking by the condo and it felt private. We stayed in the unit with our two young (3 & under) kiddos and it was great. We rented a crib and toddler bed from Maui on the Fly and we all fit in the very large bedroom. The previous reviews about the condo being dated are accurate. It seems the condo has not been updated/renovated in quite a while but we had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The value and location of this condo can't be beat. The outdoor patio and grass was great for the kids and we loved being in walking distance of many great beaches and pools. Renting through Aloha Vacation Villas was very smooth and we really had a lovely stay. We hope to return!

Adequate condo in a great location

We enjoyed our stay in Kapalua and would rent at these villas again. The complex is beautifully manicured, has nice pools, easy access to trails, and we loved watching whales from our room. However, this particular property is not updated and has the worst location in the building. We stay in a condo so we can cook, and the two pans were old and low quality. We had ants in the master bathroom and the mattress needs replacing. People on the balcony next door can see into your bedroom unless you close the blinds. With all this being said, we had a great time and the accommodations were adequate.

Wonderful Weather

Our stay was in mid to late October. We turned off the AC, opened the windows and enjoyed the ocean breeze for virtually all of our 10-day stay. Nice beach path close by, well maintained grounds (almost too much face-time with the grounds keepers) and great community pool areas.

Another fantastic stay at the Kapalua Bay Villas. Our unit was perfect for the 4 of us. My husband sat in the master bedroom most of the time just mesmerized by the view. The girls and I loved the beaches and the food nearby. Overall another great stay in this location. We will be back soon!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The service we received from Vicky and the team at Aloha Vacation rentals was excellent. We loved Kapalua and we loved the Bay Villas. This condo was clean and the view was very nice. Travelers need to be aware that when we arrived there were a full flight of steps to go down from the parking lot to get to the front door. Then after entering, there was another flight of stairs to get up to the bedroom-this is a townhouse style condo. Inside the condo was very old and dated. There are large windows everywhere, so there are old wooden blinds on all the windows. Many of these blinds did not work and were in disrepair. In many cases the valances were no longer on the blinds. The bed was very comfortable. The tv in the bedroom was very small. The decor was dated. The cabinets were Formica. The counter tops were old little square tiles which were hard to clean. The shower and bath and bath counter-tops were the same old brown square tiles. During our stay we alerted Aloha that the toaster and microwave both had issues and these were replaced. During our stay, they replaced the washer and dryer with a new set. Before they replaced them, some of our white clothes got black stains (grease from the old drier) on them. We informed Aloha but we were not compensated even though it was promised by a representative. This was probably the best vacation we have ever had because it was 3 weeks in Kapalua. We loved walking to Merrimans Restaurant, the Ritz Carlton, Sensei for sushi, the Spa at the Montage was fabulous, walking in front of the condo along the Kapalua Coastal Trail and many other great activities that are nearby. The condo was functional and clean but we would not stay there again, especially for the money. We do recommend Aloha Vacation properties.

Reviewer Comments: The unit met our needs, for the price I am not one to complain as the value was defintely here.A few things to note, just for the next traveler to notate.1) The blinds in main bedroom are not black-out blinds and far from it. If you anticipate you'll be up early (or need to) when the sun starts rising, this won't be a problem. If you like to sleep in (beyond 7 am) then bring an eye mask.2) There is no phone in the unit. Not unusual these days BUT our phone (T-mobile) had virtually no service here. This means you'll need to be connected to the WiFi for your smartphone to call out. For example, the shuttle services. Also, there is no information on contacting the shuttle inside the unit so make sure you save the number in your phone ahead of time.3) The unit itself is a bit dated but everything functions so again, the value is here for what you get. If you're expecting renovated (as of June 2019) this isn't going to wow you.4) TV in the master bedroom is tiny, so small it should just be removed at this point.Overall, I would return for the value. Having a full kitchen, two bathrooms and a great location is amazing. The pool is a short walk and we enjoyed it while having the entire pool to ourselves for hours.

Due to the usual unit having the exterior redone we stayed in this unit. While the unit was clean, it is getting to the point where things need to be upgraded. Disappointing

The minute we opened the front door a strong mildew/ mold smell hit us in the face. Had it not been midnight we would have called management right away. We unpacked and spent the next day out on the beach only to come home to wanted all over the kitchen floor. We called maintenance and someone came immediately and had it fixed by the next morning. The smell persisisted thru our stay, we were both coughing and had sore throats and headaches thru the stay. It was our choice to not call as we assumed that a replacement co do wouldNot be an option . Very dated furniture, window blinds barely closed.

Wonderful Stay In Kapalua

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful, super relaxing stay at the beautiful Kapalua Bay Villas from August 17-31st. Our ocean view from both floors as well as from our patio was spectacular and our end unit afforded ample privacy. This is our fourth stay at Kapalua Bay Villas-we love it there. This was our first time staying at this unit and, although it was smaller than our unit in the past, it was very comfortable and pleasant. The only improvements I would suggest might be a better equipped kitchen and perhaps an update on furnishings but the reduction in rental price compensated for those relative shortcomings.
