This place was well stocked and very inviting. We also enjoyed the design and layout of the property because it allowed for those who wanted to continue the night to do so downstairs while the other who wished to go to bed could find their resting place upstairs. Not to mention the back area that clean and great for keeping the night alive.

Cozy nest close to park, walkable to great coffee, pastries, restaurants and a super cool suspension bridge. Easy Uber stop-offs and pick-ups so lack of parking really not an issue. Very responsive host.

Great property! We came out for the Padres game and we took an uber from the house to the stadium. The backyard area is so beautiful and relaxing. Host was very responsive and friendly. Definitely coming back!

Very nice

Perfect for our group of 4, and great location- lovely neighborhood, convenient to zoo and Seaworld. Nice to have a parking spot and laundry. Parking spot is narrow and sloped but I was able to park a Toyota Sienna there. Place is clean and well-stocked.

Main reason for choosing this location was its "closeness" to the Zoo. Neighborhood was peaceful with several options of grocery and coffee with in a few blocks. The home was big enough for us to feel cozy and relaxed, way better than a standard hotel!

Great location, inaccurate listing, late check-in

The best thing about this property is definitely the location — less than 10min from airport, Zoo, beaches, etc. Beyond that, there’s much left out of the description that falls short of accurately describing the space. The very small 2nd bedroom upstairs, the door can’t even open all the way, and doesn’t have any A/C (the room got up to 80) and the “other” A/C is 2 window units.. wouldn’t have been an issue if that was described in the listing. The bathtub plug doesnt work (couldn’t bathe our toddler appropriately) and there is not a grill (as listed on the website). The kitchen plug is coming out of the wall among other electrical deficiencies and the fridge had expired condiments inside (while being promised “stocked goodies.” Check-in was listed as 3pm, but the space was not ready and we had to sit outside the property until nearly 3:30pm to get access (after not hearing anything from the owner the entire day up until we had to message at 2:45pm). Overall the rental space just felt very poorly kept and we wouldn’t stay again.

Wonderful location, very walkable, and while cozy is the word, the backyard is a gem. Shout out to the remarkably quiet neighbors—they are nearby but really strikingly chill and inobtrusive—a real plus! The unit furnishings have changed some since the photos were taken, the pics could use updating to give a better idea of the unit as it is now, we were a bit surprised about some of the changes, but the master bedroom is much the same. We loved walking from here—Balboa, Bankers Hill, Hillcrest, Little Italy and downtown all do-able, and I’m a runner and found several good routes right out the front door, which was a real plus. The unit had bit of wear and a bit of clutter, but it’s mostly stuff you can use, so that can be a plus (guides, food). Very nice coffee maker, and, overall, we enjoyed our stay. Shockingly easy street parking for a midtown address, at least from where we are from (SF, parking is a competitive sport up here). Worth noting that it was hot the first night we were there, but with the fan on and upstairs windows open, we were able to keep the second bedroom (no AC) pretty cool, another plus. AC in main bedroom worked nicely.

Stayed here for a night to be close to the start line for teh Rock n Roll marathon. It was absolutely perfect! We caught the bus across the road to get downtown and just loved the area. Bed was very comfortable, nice sheets and pillows (very important night before a long run!)

Great Location

Fantastic location for wanting to explore San Diego. VRBO had everything we needed. Bonus points for having a hot water kettle. My husband also loved the coffee. Would highly recommend.

I needed a break from the chaos, and this quiet, beautiful apartment was exactly what I needed. It gave me the space to clear my mind and get some much-needed rest. The terrace was a perfect spot to start the morning with coffee and reflection. The owner was warm, courteous, and available if needed, and the meditation center just a street away added a truly peaceful rhythm to my days. A deeply grounding and restorative stay.

A Nice Long Stay in San Diego

A great clean older property that has been fixed up and furnished nicely. It had a great outdoor space. The host was very accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the Nespresso machine was a great touch! The only bathroom is on the second floor and it is basic. I stayed for a month and have to express again how helpful the host was. I had a great time!

Lovely home, supportive host

We loved this home. Great host! We actually had to leave another place we’d booked because it wasn’t safe for our small kids and the host of this property was super responsive and helped to get us into his place fast so we had a place to stay. And this was on Election Day! Everything was clean and lovely. If you stay with babies and toddlers bring a pack and play and a baby gate for the bottom of the stairs. Perfect for family with 2 kids.

Delightful home nestled on a hill

This is a beautiful, well-cared-for classic home. Although necessarily compact, the layout is well-designed and very comfortable. The living room is bright, wonderful kitchen, and a fantastic outdoor sitting area in back. Great communication with the host. And yes, the driveway is very narrow, but the parking space is so very valuable here. An excellent experience!

Beautiful area

House is small but has all that you need. The back patio area was a perfect place for relaxing and entertaining. Take time to walk around the neighborhood and short walk to Balboa Park and the Zoo.

Cozy place

Could have more cleaning supplies and cooking utensils. Outside was a bit dirty. Overall is was fine. Bed seemed old and pillows weren’t comfortable.
