Perfect getaway pet friendly house with 4 bedroom,4 bath home with new hot tub, ping pong table and fire pit it is a great place to enjoy time with your family and your pet on this stay .The house sits on 1,5 acre lot in very quiet neighborhood .Great for running around with your pet or playing a fun yard games .Enjoy the sound of the creek or catch horseback rides through the trees on the trails behind the home. All the guests of the house gets passes to Galena Territory Associated to enjoy indoor ,outdoor pools ,tennis courts ,basketball , fitness center ,fishing ,boating ,over 24 miles of trails and a game room. The house is located 1 mile from the Shenandoah Riding Center ,11 miles from downtown Galena and 13 miles from Chestnut Mountain.

Family trip

This was our second stay at the beautiful home. We booked it for a family get together. It was clean and homey, with plenty of room for 10 of us. We enjoyed the games, hot tub, and clubhouse access.

Loved it!

Family of 9. We loved all of the outdoor toys, the yard is huge with a volleyball net and fire pit with plenty of chairs. House is set up great for a big group. We have been to 7 different houses and this was our favorite!

This was our second stay at this house. We stayed three nights in the fall. We enjoyed every minute of our time spent at the house. We played games on the huge kitchen table, napped on the screened porch, roasted marshmellows at the fire pit, played cards on the deck under the umbrella and visited the farmers market at the owner's club on Sunday. The house is clean, beds are comfortable and it had everything we needed plus. My grandson was sad; he did not want to leave. We would love to cone back.

Great family stay

We had a wonderful time with family celebrating my Dad’s birthday. The family room downstairs served as a great “quiet” spot after lunch. We look forward to our next trip. Thank you again!

Excellent space

Plenty of space, appreciated a bathroom for each bedroom. Living area upstairs was very bright and spacious. The yard was amazing for our Standard Poodle, he had a blast! The hot tub was in a convenient location for a cold weekend. Will definitely rebooked.

Girls weekend!

We had a great time! 8 of us stayed very comfortably in this VRBO. Location was great, just a 15 minute drive to the downtown Galena area. We felt extremely safe. House was very clean and perfect for our girls weekend!

Perfect for a Ski Weekend

A group of friends and I came up for a skiing weekend at Chestnut Mountain and this house was the perfect home base! We had an amazing visit- the house was very clean, Anna was very prompt with responding to questions, and we had a great time using the hot tub and ping pong table. I would highly recommend this property and when we have our ski trip next year, would love to return to this house!

Operation: Relaxation!

The Sweet Retreat was fantastic! What a great property in the territories. My husband and I recharged our internal batteries this past week. Hot tub was awesome and fire pit was fun. 10 out of 10, would recommend it for anything.

Beautiful home in a great location

Sorry we forgot to sign the guest book. We had a great time and the home is fantastic. There were six adults and we had plenty of room. Got to use the fire pit and the hot tub. Overall great weekend. Thank you so much.

Beautiful setting, beautiful home!

Our family of 10 booked the home for a ski trip. Unfortunately, the ski slopes were closed, so we spent our 2 nights and days at this house. It was everything the listing promised and more! We hiked around the area, enjoyed the hot tub, games and ping pong table provided, and visited the complimentary clubhouse. We look forward to returning next year!

A wonderful get away.

A quiet retreat with a lovely view. Far enough away from our cares so that we could relax, but close enough to town so we didn't need to cook every night. The host was responsive to a issue that arose and quickly had it resolved before it became a problem. We are already thinking about going back in the future.

Beautiful memories in Galena

We spent our kids Spring Break here - ages 4-9 - and loved it. Anna was amazingly communicative both leading up to and during our stay. Upon arrival, the property was spotless, smelled great, and a few lovely treats were put out for our family (wine for adults, s’mores supplies for kids). Our intent was to disconnect with some space and quiet, but the technology in the house was also super helpful. WiFi was fast and TVs were great! Hot tub also a perfect add for the cooler March weather. Loved our stay and look forward to hopefully returning in the warmer Summer months.

Nice house & kind owners

The house is nicely laid out with a bathroom for each bedroom and a large living room area on both floors. The owners were prompt to respond to questions. This property allows small dogs so I was able to bring my senior dog. This does also mean there might be other pet dander in the home, my friend who is allergic to cats had her allergies flare up. We will definitely be back!

FAMILY TIME

We stayed five nights and had a great time. House was clean and had everything we needed. We used all five beds and all of us thought our beds were comfy with no complaints. The Sunday Farmers Market was a nice extra right there in the territory. We used owner's club pool and galena city pool, both were very nice. Great little coffee shop in Elizabeth. Elizabeth has a nice splash for the kids and a bar with the best burgers. I think they called it Small Town. Galena is always fun with so much to do. It was really crowded on the weekend; Monday was much better. Tuesdays is the day when most things are closed downtown. Overall great trip. Only complaint were the knats when you were outdoors. We will be back.
