This review from guest is as a result only that I filed a damage claim. Guest is using star and review platform as retaliation of my charging them for the damages they caused to my house. This is not fair or right. This is first time I have ever filed a claim against a guest. There were no complaints or issues voiced by the guest to me during their stay nor after their departure until after I filed a claim. One of guests children broke my master Alarm panel. According to ADT the alarm panel had the buttons on the panel pressed, and two different alarms seperately within seconds from each other were triggered from directly touching the panel causing the alarm to go off. One of the alarms was an alarm from the panic button on the panel alerting ADT someone in the house was in distress. The mom said she herself continued to press buttons on the control panel in an attempt to shut off the first panic button alarm which then set off a second alarm. The control panel will not work at all now and ADT has to do an onsite service technician call to re- setup the panel. It wont even come on now. The cost in ADT servicefees is more than the guest paid for damages to the panel. The ad clearly states and alerts guests to be aware of location by Del Sol Casino before booking. They booked. It is less than 30 min to Tucson airport and convention center. Not fair to blame me where her family is and she knew location at booking.

Hi Deborah, I put the plastic on the beds to protect guests and keep the bedding sanitary. I never knew that it also made the bed feel hot. I hope you will choose my home to stay in again next time you are in town. I will take the plastic coverings off the mattress for you. Cheri, I wish your stay would have been better for you. The housekeeper was not truthful with you, and she is no longer here. I'm not surprised to learn from you that she threw me under the bus, when I relied on her to do her job of preparing the home for you. Ultimately, I am responsible that the house was not ready for you when you arrived. I've taken steps to assure this doesn't happen again. Sometimes things unforeseen happen that are out of one's control. People's interpretations and reaction are varied. Everything could have been kind and no big deal. I always put my guests first and their needs and feelings are paramount to me. But in your situation, your reaction was extreme and unacceptable. I was always available to address any of your concerns about the house. Unfortunately, again, there were no issues brought to me for me to address and correct. My record of excellent reviews speaks for itself and is reflective of how others have experienced me and my house. I would have loved if your reaction to difficult circumstances that happened on the first day you arrived, and was quickly resolved within a few hours, would have felt better for you, and that you could have felt happy for the remaining 6 days. However, your attitude tainted your overall feelings for the following 6 days. I want my guests stay to be perfect. I go out of my way to provide service and care for my guests. Unfortunately, yours had an issue in the beginning that you were not able to let go of and you were not able to move on for the remainder of your stay. Your repeated messages to me were derogatory, extremely negative toned, with exaggerated and petty claims and ranting that were derived from your emotional state of mind that you were in for the entire stay. Nothing I said to you would have corrected anything. There wasn't anything to correct about the house or the amenities. I was not going to be emotionally abused, and I was not going to engage in an argument with you. I was going to give you a refund for any inconveniences, that you might have experienced due to the housekeeper not having the home ready for you on time, but you were unappreciative and demanded much more than I was thinking. was appropriate as a courteous refund. You had arrived early that day for a prearranged luggage drop off, which alerted me to the problem, so I made sure the housekeeper came right over to do the cleaning. She started it before it was check in time. You continued to go do your activities and planned dinner engagement. She was done within a couple hours. Your return late into the evening was not associated with the house not being ready. The clothes dryer sets for a one-hour time cycle. It seems the dryer shut off when the housekeeper left and the blanket was still damp because the hour wasn't enough. This was not a blanket that needed to go on a bed. It was an extra blanket. You could have left it untouched in the dryer or simply turned the dryer back on again. Your spin of how this innocent blanket event happened could have been better. This is an example of the other issues you brought up that were of no real issue. I always make sure the house is always well stocked. I sent items from amazon directly delivered to the house. I truly wish you could have felt very happy and peaceful during your stay. I hope on your future travels that you will be very satisfied with the home you choose to stay in. Highly beware of this guest. They book then as soon as they move in your house they start complaining and send messages to scam and blackmail you into giving them money back or else they will complain to VRBO. I have this proof on my personal phone message. The day before ( I have proof of my cleaning payment) this guest moved in I paid $200 for cleaning so I know the guest was scamming and she also wanted me to reimburse her for the insurance she voluntarilly bought. She wanted me to refund her a lot of money OR ELSE she was going to write bad review she said. I feel certain I am not the first owner who this guest has scammed into getting refunds or discounts. I didn’t pay her off as she requested. I am getting this false review in retaliation that I did not give her refunds from her fake and false complaining. I KNEW it was just cleaned and she was staging her false complaints. I Will NEVER rent to this guest again. HOST BEWARE. This guest will create false claims trying to get refunds and discounts after she moves in.
