Sunshine Daze is a cozy and inviting home to accommodate the entire family! The lake is right in your backyard and wildlife abounds! This spacious home boasts 4 queen beds and 4 twin beds (bunk and twin w/ trundle) has hardwood floors throughout, is surrounded by trees and offers a layout that enables family and friends to gather indoors in the large open concept kitchen/dining/living area on the main level or in the large open lower level. Enjoy your morning coffee or for a relaxing dinner on the deck. The very large back yard with lots of trees for privacy is a great space for the kids or a friendly game of cornhole . The kitchen is well stocked with everything the chef in your group may need. Guests are welcome to responsibly use the portable firepit, kayaks .

The house was comfortable and fairly accurately described. There was some food still stuck on many of the plates in the kitchen, and the coffee maker did not have a pot to make coffee with, Plus there were VERY old and dried grounds in it. Overall, though, the space was comfortable. We were not able to launch our boat, though, because the gate to the boat ramp was locked and communication with the property management company was very slow and not very helpful to fix the problem.

Great trip!

Loved the house. Clean, spacious, great dock and loved using the kayaks, SUP, and paddleboat. Very good wifi coverage too.

Amazing Property

A group of us stayed here to celebrate a birthday and it was absolutely perfect. The place was clean, tons of space, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. I can’t sleep without a fan and they had plenty!! The walk to the water is a little bit of a hill but honestly not bad at all. We had no idea about the water temp/private side but even on a super hot sunny day it was refreshing and not too hot. The dishwasher was broken but that didn’t make any difference to me because this place was exactly what we wanted!

Weekend Getaway

Our stay was wonderful. We enjoyed everything about it. The house was clean and had plenty of sleeping options. We would recommend this rental and will likely use it again in the future!

Much Needed

We don't get to get together as a family very often and this trip was so needed. We had a great time. The kids were never bored and loved the lake. The house was perfect and so roomy. We hope to be able to do a longer trip in the future.

Had a great time here, property was as described and a great place to vacation. Communication with the property manager was not great, but there were not a ton of issues so it was fine.

Peaceful Lake Retreat

The house was clean, spacious and pet friendly! The area is private and quiet with an expansive backyard and convenient lakefront access. Check-in was easy and host was communicative. There was no "to do" list like some hosts require (beyond supplying linens). The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed our family lake house getaway!

Everything was good. We were unaware there was a steep hill to get to the dock. Also didn’t know that the private side of the lake was very warm water. But the house was good.

Our stay at the lake house

The house was beautiful and so was the location. There was plenty of room for the whole family and friends. The convenience of being on the lake was fantastic. The only negative I have is that the dishwasher was not working and we were not made aware of this ahead of time and there was no effort made to fix the problem while we were there. My husband called and the manager of the property said that they were going to have someone come out and look at it but then we heard nothing for the rest of our stay. This happened on day one of our visit. Having to do dishes by hand was not a big deal but I thought that the property managers could have handled the situation better.

We loved our visit to the lake! It was so peaceful, the kids had a blast and the dogs had plenty of yard to run. The adults had as much fun as the kids! The house had plenty of space and had a well stocked kitchen Only complaints: The mattresses downstairs need updated and the decks/dock should be checked and cleaned. Might need 2 trash pick-up cans.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time during our stay at lake Anna. The property was perfect for our group, we had a mix of adults, teens, younger children and a dog. The property was well equipped with plenty of water toys, we definitely got tons of use out of the kayaks and paddle board. The dock was a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the lake, although some spots the wooden decking was a little rough. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The Wi-Fi was a little slow but we didn’t mind as we were there to relax and unplug. We had a fantastic time and would definitely rent again!!

Fathers Day weekend 2025

The house was nice and clean. Some of the property is in need of repairs (deck area you need to wear shoes nails up on boards) dishwasher not working. Unable to have access to community boat ramp. Home owners blocked entrance for loading area with their personal truck and told us as a guest we were not allowed to use and locked gate which we did not get a key for. When telling property manager this she said she was going to check into, that this had never happened before. None the less, we couldn’t use it. Had planned on taking the children tubing. for a 3 day stay over all ok. Would not rent again. Public marina close by and we did get our boats launched for a fishing day.

Spacious but updates needed

A beautiful secluded location right on the lake! The house had plenty of room for the entire extended family-plenty of sleeping options. Just be aware that you have to take your own linens and all toiletries (no soap, shampoo, etc.). In addition, the property only had one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one roll of paper towels, and one garbage bag. The house was fairly clean, but needs a deep clean. The view from the deck is wonderful, but the deck (both front and back) needs some serious attention! Having the kayaks and paddle boats was super fun - kids loved being on the lake.

The property was spacious and we had plenty of room for the 9 of us (plus a pup) to spread out. At first glance, the home was great, unfortunately, as time went on, we found many of the household staples either were broken or weren’t working well. The water valves in the basement bathroom seemed to be broken, as the water pressure came out forcefully and ran out of hot water in about 10 minutes. The oven, stovetop, and toaster oven ran very hot and burnt food quickly. The deck had jagged edges, which my 10 y.o. Stepped on in barefeet and my husband and friend both fell coming down the outside stairs. The paddle board and kayak paddles were broken. All of this was frustrating, but for us, the most disappointing was the dock and water access. We paid a premium for a beachfront property, and the water was shallow and full of seaweed, making it unswimmable. The kids asked to go home repeatedly throughout the weekend, which is not what you want to hear as parents who were really looking forward to making lakeside memories!! Lastly, we reached out to the landlord to share concerns about the water, but unfortunately haven’t heard back.

I wish you had reached out via message or phone during your stay (our contact info is posted in the house and in the binder) as we would have gladly addressed any issues that we could - we, of course, can't change the lake. Lake Anna Vacation

First and foremost, thank you for sharing and allowing us to stay in your home on our recent first-time visit to Lake Anna. We found it to be perfect to meet our needs in space, location, amenities and opportunity to enjoy the Lake. The house was bright, very clean, well-maintained, beautifully decorated in "lake-style" decor and equipped with everything we needed. The property/yard is very well-maintained. With 7 adults and 4 small children, everything inside and out including bedroom and bathroom layout was ideal. The appliances were all clean and in good working order. The washer/dryer was greatly appreciated. The lake access and front yard was perfect for our grandchildren to enjoy the water and the adults to enjoy the dock, fishing, yard games and an evening fire-pit dinner of mountain pies, hot dogs and s'mores. All enjoyed the many rides on the lake in the paddle boats, kayaks and paddleboard. We greatly appreciated the pet-friendly option as our 13 year old dog does not do well away from our special needs son. The locate was private and quiet yet close enough to stores for a "quick run" for groceries or supplies. We definitely would recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet retreat and would certainty book again. Thank you

Enjoyed our stay but...

Over-all the house was clean and spacious for our needs. The boat landing is right next to the property and the amenities were as stated. My only gripe was finding out that the property does not supply bed linens. Really?? Who brings 5 Queen size bed linens on vacation? Let alone who owns that many? They'll supply them upon request for a $100 charge. This information was not conveyed prior to our arrival. I have stayed at several other homes around Lake Anna and this was a first. Aside from that, the outside trash can was over flowing when we arrived with trash which was emptied at our request but not before some critters decided to rip our bag open and have a field day. The ring camera and security cameras are a little intrusive but i understand why they are there. The dock was stable and secured our boat but is old and splintering everywhere. As i stated, overall we were pleased with the appearance and location but for what I paid my standards are high and for what your charging you standards should be to!

Labor Day Weekend

House was generally as described and we did enjoy our stay, however a few things to note for improvement: The cleaners need to do a better job. For example, the refrigerator was not cleaned out and we had to remove and wash the shelves. Bathtub drain was partially clogged so water did not properly drain. The beds in the kids room were not made. While the house has 5 bedrooms the dining table only sat 4 people. That said, we were aware of that when we rented so we brought our own table and chairs to be able seat all of our party, Seats on some of the deck chairs need to be fixed Boat house was left in a messy state making the enclosed space unusable with all the water toys piled in it. Also the screens were missing from all but one side of the room. Fortunately for us, the mosquitos were not too bad. Lastly, there is a conflict in checkout time between what is in the VRBO ad and what the Property Manager's instructions were. That said the PM recognized that and honored what was published in the VRBO ad. All in all, we did enjoy our stay but there can be room for improvement.

Thank you for your feedback. I apologize you found the cleaning unsatisfactory. Please make us aware in the future, I would have resolved the matter quickly for you, I assure you. Our inspection didn't note these findings, however, I'll look into it to ensure our high standards continue to be met. The bunks aren't routinely made, however, linens are provided for them - for future reference, if you let us know you need the bunks (give correct guest count) they can be made for you. The enclosed space you mention is storage at the boathouse and only intended for that purpose, my apologies for any confusion. I'm glad the concerns that you did report were handled efficiently and to your satisfaction. I am glad you enjoyed your stay in spite of these now noted matters, our guests are our highest priority.

This is a lovely and spacious house. All rooms are very good size. And the back yard is big too. Remember all the things you like to bring to lake front. The water temperature is very warm which is exactly what we like. The cons: 1. Even there are 4 kayaks and 2 paddle boats. There are only 2 paddles so you can only take 2 kayaks at the same time most. One of the paddle boat is broken. 2. There is no life jacket. I wish they would mention in the listing or reminding renter after the booking that you need to bring your own life jackets because we have couples at home and can bring them if we know in advance. 3. We have to unload the dishes in dishwasher when we arrived. They are clean but doesn't the cleaning crew should unload them instead of the next renter? 4. In the welcome book, it states all paper, plastic should be put in recycle bin. But I can't find any and message the host. The answer is there is none. Obviously it has been a while that they update the welcome book.
