About this space
Fabulous country home 20 minutes from downtown Athens. (This home was formerly on a 50 acre lake that has recently been drained).
The space
House is in a beautiful setting with a large screened porch, grilling hut, two decks, a hot tub and 4 bedrooms.
Guest access
Guests will have the whole house, carport, yard and grilling hut to themselves. Parties and events not allowed.

Outdoor fire pit available.

We had a fabulous time at our countryside retreat in Athens. It was very easy to get to campus but when you were at the house - it was a wonderful oasis. We would definitely stay there again!

This is a beautiful home and Rick was so responsive. It was perfect for us, close enough to the stadium and downtown Athens to be a quick drive but far enough away to have peace and quiet.

Beautiful Property

The pictures do not do this property justice. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Perfect for relaxing after the long busy days during our stay. Hosts were wonderful to work with, and we found everything far exceeding our expectations. We loved our visit to the area and wish we would have had more time to enjoy and explore.

A great place!

My family and I enjoyed the weekend in this beautiful home. The communication was great from start to finish. We loved the outdoor spaces which included a nice back porch as well as an outdoor space great for cooking and cornhole. I would definitely recommend to others and stay again.

Great country getaway

We stayed here for a game weekend with our student at UGA. It was a wonderful break for him from the dorm and we were able to provide home-cooked meals. The house was well stocked with everything we needed to cook, including lots of spices. The hot tub was amazing! It’s about 20 mins from UGA and 10 mins from groceries/food. Simply lovely for a family getaway!

Henderson Athens Family Vacation 2024

The home was very homey & relaxing. My grands loved the big swing in the cookout area & all the games that were available to them. My son loved the fire pit area. They all loved the screened in porch & especially the hot tub. We all wished the lake was full. We all imagined how beautiful the view would’ve been looking from the porch. The hosts were very hospitable.

Our stay here was a pure delight to the heart! Every detail, inside and out, was absolutely beautiful! We stayed here during Spring and the landscaping and blooms were dreamy! Inside the home, every space was beautifully crafted to feel welcoming and inviting. It was super kid-friendly as well, even having awesome toys stashed for little ones to play! The homeowners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was incredible! The home exceeded our expectations beyond measure.

Amazing family retreat

We had a wonderful family get away for a wedding in the area. This house is set up for entertainment! There were so many different places to sit :-). We had fun sitting in all of them but spent the most time out on the back screened in porch. There is a hanging bed couch that we actually slept in and loved hearing the night sounds during an unexpectedly cool late summer night. And the hot tub was great! We were all sad to leave. It’s was a truly lovely stay. The host was so nice and response. Even left us a sweet treat to enjoy during our stay. Hope we can make it back there again soon!

My husband and I are both retired. We enjoy working in the yard, reading, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. We have made our home special for our family and friends. We have six grandchildren who thoroughly enjoy visiting. We decided to rent our home several years ago through Airbnb. We have recently added Vrbo as well. We are renting to allow our travel dreams to come true.

Four bedrooms on one level, including a bunk room designed for children. There are three bathrooms. This is an ideal location for multiple generations to enjoy time together. There is a large dining room table that seats twelve. This is a more economical choice for extended families attending ballgames, weddings, or graduations.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The back porch is huge and includes a large hot tub. A Kamato Joe grill and a charcoal grill are available. There are several outdoor spaces where different groups can gather including a grilling hut with two picnic tables and a glider swing. There is also a firepit area to enjoy smores or a quiet evening snuggled up. This property is ideal for events in town and your own special time away in the country.
