At this Kill Devil Hills rental, you'll also be just a short drive away from the movie theater, the Wright Brothers Memorial, and more. Want to head to the beach? You're only a half mile away, making it easy to drive or ride your bike over to soak up some sun and salt water. At Sandy Bottoms, you'll also have plenty to do outside where you'll find a fun downstairs area featuring a bar, hammocks, a fire pit, and gas grill, and a hot tub.

Inside Sandy Bottoms, you'll be welcomed by an open and bright living area complete with seating and a flat-screen TV perfect for gathering with friends and family. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances including a toaster oven and both a Keurig and standard drip coffee makers. The breakfast bar features seating for 4 and the dining room table features more seating so everyone can enjoy meals together. Beach Getaway

This house was very clean, great location and we loved staying!!! We had a little issue with cooling the house, but the rental company got right on it! To say they went above and beyond is an understatement! We will book here again!

Sandy Bottom

Loved everything about this place. Only drawback is that it’s not ocean front. We loved the outdoor spaces both upstairs and down. Downstairs area needed leaves etc swept up. Otherwise this was the perfect space for our family vacation.

Sandy Bottoms Vacation

The cottage is beautiful. Thought it was on the beach road but that was my fault. Just a 4 minute ride or so to Avalon pier where we went for the beach and also music at night. The hot tub and firepit were awesome! Loved the deck for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. Convenient to be so close to food Lion. Would definitely recommend this place! We had a fantastic family vacation! Thank you!

Perfect stay

We need to give the OBX vacation home a review. Please post this when you can:We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Bottoms! The home was very clean and tastefully decorated, creating a welcoming and relaxing vibe. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals—minus ingredients, of course, which we brought from home anyway. I especially loved the Rae Dunn beach-themed coffee mugs—such a cute touch!The top deck was a perfect spot to unwind with a drink, and the downstairs area with the BBQ and jacuzzi was a great bonus. It was a bit too chilly during our stay to fully enjoy the outdoor space, but I can imagine how amazing it would be in warmer weather.We brought our furbabies along and felt completely safe walking them around the neighborhood. The location couldn’t have been better—super central and close to everything: grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacy, entertainment, and of course, the beach. Oh, and Duck Donuts (the best donuts we’ve ever had) just down the street!One small note: we ordered the beach package with a wagon, but ended up not using it. While the beach is nearby, it’s just a little too far to walk with a wagon and kids in tow. Driving worked better for us, and we had no issues finding parking (it was spring break though). Overall, it was a fantastic stay for our mix of relaxing and exploring. We’d definitely come back!
