Esta clásica casa de playa de Tidewater Virginia, ubicada en la exclusiva zona residencial conocida como North End Virginia Beach, es el lugar ideal para sus vacaciones en la playa. La misma familia ha sido propietaria de esta maravillosa casa de dos pisos frente al mar y el lote adyacente frente al mar desde 1958. Desde entonces, los propietarios han mejorado continuamente la casa con el resultado final de que han creado un lugar donde puede relajarse en un ambiente Tidewater antiguo y cómodo y acogedor, al mismo tiempo que tiene acceso a servicios del siglo XXI, como Internet inalámbrico de alta velocidad. y TV satelital con televisores de pantalla plana en la sala familiar y la habitación King.

La casa tiene acceso directo a la playa y estamos tan cerca del océano y de la línea de dunas como lo permite la zonificación. Nuestra casa de playa está fuera de la carretera principal, por lo que no hay tráfico, pero está muy cerca de la rampa de la playa, por lo que tenemos lo mejor de ambos mundos: privacidad y accesibilidad. Una vez en la rampa, puede rodar fácilmente su equipo hasta la orilla del agua usando nuestro carrito de playa Wheeleez y "establecer un campamento" para un gran día de diversión en la playa.

Dos soláriums de 4 estaciones frente al mar con ventiladores de techo y cómodas opciones de asientos brindan escapadas privadas desde la principal sala de estar y comedor familiar de concepto abierto con las grandes vigas de techo de madera expuestas originales y paneles de pino Pickwick machihembrados. En nuestro porche con pantalla, sus opciones para relajarse y pasar el rato incluyen el columpio del porche de madera y el sofá acolchado o puede disfrutar sentado en la mesa de madera (asientos 8) y comer algo. El porche está justo al lado de la cocina, así que ya sea para el desayuno temprano, el almuerzo rápido y de regreso a la playa o para tomar un cóctel y cenar al atardecer, es el lugar donde a todos les gusta reunirse. Nuestra casa se alquila por semana solo de domingo a domingo. Check-in a las 4pm y Checkout a las 11am.

La casa tiene capacidad para nueve personas en cinco habitaciones con una cama king, una cama queen y cinco camas individuales. Todas las habitaciones están en el segundo piso.

Ofrecemos un carrito de playa Wheeleez, 9 sillas de playa, 2 sombrillas de playa, juegos de jardín para que disfrute toda la familia y, para los más pequeños, tablas de surf, una piscina para niños y juguetes de playa. La entrada a la entrada sur de First Landing State Park está a 1/2 milla de la casa y el paseo marítimo de Virginia Beach y Resort Strip con todas sus actividades está a 2 millas de distancia. Si no tiene ganas de conducir, es un paseo seguro o en bicicleta a todos estos utilizando la carretera de acceso paralela a Atlantic Avenue. El acuario y el parque de aventuras Virginia Beach y el parque acuático Ocean Breeze se encuentran a 9,6 km. Busch Gardens, Water Country y el histórico Williamsburg, Yorktown y Jamestown están a una hora de distancia.

Beach week as it should be

We had a wonderful time at this well appointed, large, comfortable beach side cottage. There were three decks looking out to the ocean; there were all you could hope for beach accessories; a kitchen with everything we needed to cook most of our meals; an enormous library to suit all tastes; and plenty of zones where people could read, relax, play games, watch TV. Our group of 4 adults and 5 children had a great time there. You’ll love it!

Step back in time to a cozy cottage at the beach. Warm and comfortable with lots of Home touches

We had a great week of enjoying this wonderful home at the beach. Everything you need to enjoy time with your family. A well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook. Very cozy and clean. Outdoor shower is perfect and the screened in porch is perfect for family time. We enjoyed all the puzzles, games and book selection. What a wonderful place to getaway and enjoy the beach. Loved it!

So many conveniences at this home. Comfortable beds, beach gear, stocked kitchen! 7 people and 2 indoor showers and 1 outdoor worked just fine. Not much ocean view. Very comfortable spaces for visiting indoors and out!

Family Fun

Overall this was a great experience. The walk to the beach is short and easy. The beach was beautiful and never overly crowded. The area is totally non-commercial, but everything you could want from food, to movies, to shopping is within a 2-5 mile drive. The house is nicely appointed and well stocked for a family gathering. There is even room for cooking out and setting up a wading pool for little ones. We loved it.

Lovely cottage home

My husband and I stayed at this home this past summer. Lovely cottage style house, very comfortable. House was clean, decorated beautifully and well equipped. We spent a great deal of time on the screened in porch or upstairs in the Florida room facing the ocean off the master bedroom. Very quiet and peaceful. Easy beach access which came in handy for my husband who has walking issues. Would definitely rent this house again.

Second visit and this Beach House is better than ever.

Our family rented this home in 2014 and decided to return this year. We love the outdoor shower with the rain shower head - I did not shower indoors once during our week. The owners have done a really good job renovating the kitchen since our last visit. Our kids spent most evenings playing on the dune in the lot next door, and we could watch them while having cocktails on the screen porch, which seems to always have a breeze. Working with the owners was great - they remembered us and Ann sent a lot of helpful info by e-mail. We will certainly rent this house again.

Summer vacation

They provided Immediate response with any questions. Loads of character to the house..this could mean not modern with private baths etc.this is an older house that has been perfectly maintained and updated..perfect for our family..actually has 5 bedrooms..the beach set up can not get any better than this. Views are great. We can't really pic a favorite room but the screen in porch is hard to beat..ocean view sunroom is spectacular, rooftop deck is fantastic....overall a great place in a great location. State park is just about 6 blocks away with lots of nature and water access..we kayaked a lot from there. Drove to close by activities.....best vacation ever for the grandkids!

Great location, very clean, super responsive owner, older home

Location was amazing. Huge clean beach, no crowds, private yard, lots of parking, 10-15 minutes from all the boardwalk action none of the noise and crowds. Super friendly and easy to work with owner. Older style home but very clean. Large open living area and lots of rooms for different activities. 2 bathrooms inside main house. Full additional shower for beach wash off doubles as a 3rd real shower location. Master bedroom is a good size (king), with a sunroom and futon. 2nd bedroom is smaller with a queen. 3rd and 4th and sort of 5th is 2 singles in one room, walk through that room to another large bedroom with 2 singles. There is also a odd little room with a single bed of the 3rd bedroom, think walk in closet with a bed. Can work very well with a bunch of kids that have separate space but all feel together. Perfect layout for 4 parents and up to 5 kids (that are close). Not ideal for 6 parents and 3 kids as it would result in one couple having to walk through another couples room to go to bed. House also had everything you could want for the beach available to you. Great trip.

A Very Special Place!

Simply put, this place is special. It's a summer beach rental, but as soon as you arrive on the property, you feel at home! The house sits on a very private spot, is off the main road, has an empty lot with dunes on one side, and the ocean is the FRONT YARD! The inside is very inviting with a cozy and comfortable vibe. This is a vintage home, architecturally speaking, however the modern upgrades have been done without sacrificing the unique style and charm. The house is meticulously clean! The owners have thought of every detail to make your stay a pleasant experience - even down to providing helpful instructions to take the guesswork out of locating and operating various items. The kitchen and baths are well-stocked with essentials. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and the mattresses and pillows are very comfortable. There are so many ways to enjoy this special place: Sipping morning coffee in the sunroom. Having meals in the screened porch. Feeling the ocean breeze and listening to the birds sing to you from the "next door" dune while sitting on the porch swing. Spending hours walking and sitting on the beautiful, wide beach. Taking a shower in the awesome outdoor shower HOUSE! Relaxing in the living area in the evening. Gazing at the stars from the upstairs deck. I could go on and on about this special place! Lastly, the owners were very pleasant to work with and were quick to respond with any questions. It is quite apparent they love their beach home. They have taken great care to make sure you love it too! That said, I can't wait to return!

Fantastic vintage beachfront home!

This is an amazing beachside family retreat in Virginia Beach. The location was far enough from the famous Boardwalk so that the beaches are not crowded, but close enough to easily bike on the Maritime Bike Trail (10-15 minutes). Beach access is next door (randomly crossing the dunes is illegal for conservation reasons). There are two private bedrooms (one king and one queen) for couples and 3 rooms with single beds (5 total) for kids. There are two full baths in the main living space, a “beach access quickie” half-bath in the outside entry laundry room, and a spacious 3rd “indoor, but outdoor” shower in the storage shed. The kitchen is a small, yet highly efficient “galley style” food preparation area. It is the most completely equipped of any that I’ve stayed in....EVER! We prepared everything from crab boils to baked goods with no problem. Plenty of beverage containers and glasses for gallons of Sangria! A full set of knives and a knife sharpener. There are 2 sunrooms (one on each floor) and an outdoor deck that are perfect for sunrise breakfasts or watching the ships pass through the main channel entering the Chesapeake Bay (binoculars provided). A Weber grill and fire pit kept us close to home at night. There are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys for kids (young and old). A large sand cart makes the daily beach set up a one trip event. The homeowners provide “in plain sight” instructions for everything imaginable. From light switches to beach chair folding, you won’t be left scratching your head! If you are looking for a huge, open concept beach home, this cottage is not for you. However, if you like vintage homes and efficient, cozy living spaces where the sounds of family interacting abound.... this is your oceanfront oasis! It certainly was ours......

The Perfect Beach House

I grew up on the ocean, so I have a lot of expectations when I rent a beach property - this charming house meets every single one. I have rented this house on multiple occasions over the last five years and have nothing but positive things to say. It is perfectly located, literally on the ocean in a quiet residential area that is still just a few minutes drive from "downtown" Virginia Beach. The house is on a large piece of property with a wonderful sense of privacy and loads of parking. It's multiple porches and sun rooms provide true indoor/outdoor living with views of the ocean. Those who love spending the day curled up reading while looking at the ocean will enjoy the house as much as those who revel in its proximity to ocean and beach activities. The house is cozy, with the charm of a local residence, while still providing clean and updated living spaces. What distinguishes this house from most rentals is the owners attentiveness to detail - all of the bathrooms (and the amazing outdoor shower HOUSE) are clean and stocked with great products; the mattresses and pillows on all of the beds are in great condition and very comfortable; bedrooms are spacious and light-filled with beautiful decor; high quality beach chairs, umbrellas, and outdoor equipment are provided; and a nice flat screen TVS, a wide range of cable offerings, and a fully-stocked book shelf are provided for your family's entertainment needs. The kitchen and dining areas are stocked to the hilt - you have no reason to leave the house for dinner whether you are serving four or twenty people. There are multiple sets of good quality china, glassware, silver ware, cloth napkins, and serving dishes as well as beach-friendly cups, plates, bowls, etc. The kitchen boasts two refrigerators as well as every tool or appliance one would need to cook a gourmet meal. To add to your ease as a guest, all cabinets and the entire pantry are labelled according to the items inside, so you are never searching for what you need. Detailed instructions are provided for check in, check out, laundry, garbage and all other practicalities, which takes all of the stress and guess work out of being in the house. You can really feel how much the owners love the house, and I guarantee you will love it too.

Lovely Ocean Front Cottage

Nice cottage with several views of Ocean. Homey and comfortable. Close to the beach. We had three generations stay. While it may not work for everyone, it did for us. Bedrooms are close (which we expected) but plenty of spaces to spread out otherwise, from the screened in porch, upper sun deck and two front enclosed porches. Also, good size yard. Plenty of parking, big outdoor shower. Small kitchen but 2 refrigerators a bonus. Overall, it was a great fit for our family.

The second floor porch has a great view of the ocean. The house was as described on the VRBO listing. The owners were super easy to work with. The beach is wide,, not crowded and clean. Watched the dolphins every day.

The house was truly comfortable - it had all of the modern amenities with a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen was well equipped. All beach equipment was provided ( chairs, umbrellas coolers and a cart.

What a lovely, charming beach house! Our multigenerational group had a wonderful week together here. The house was equipped with everything we needed to be comfortable throughout our stay. The quality beach gear provided by the owners was an added bonus, as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Best spot in Virginia Beach

This was truly one our top get-aways of all time. Ann and Bobby's home is tidy, comfortable, and well-appointed and at the sweetest spot on the shore- you can see the biggest stretch of ocean! We had a lovely time hanging out at the beach and in every thoughtful gatherng spot in and around the house! The only downside was how quickly our week flew by! Hope we can visit again soon--

A perfect beach vacation!!

I don’t even know where to begin that’s how great this home, property, beach and the lovely owners are. This was our first visit to Virginia Beach, coming from CT and we could not have had a better experience. Cleanliness is very important to me and this beach house was spotless upon arrival. It has everything you would need to have a carefree, enjoyable beach vacation. The sun porches both upstairs and down are great places to relax and read a book. We have 4 teenage children and there was plenty of space for all to relax and each had their own bedroom. The bedrooms, 3 out of the four ( not including the master) are all somewhat interconnected which worked out fabulous for our family. All our children had their own space but can open their bedroom doers and be together as well. This beach house offers so much charm in each room. And the location to the beach could not be better. There is a ramp right outside the driveway which allows one to easily use the provided wheeley cart to take everything to the beach which is xirtually right outside your back door!! I had the pleasure of working with and speaking to Ann who was so wonderful. She answered all my questions quite quickly and was a true pleasure to work with. I can honestly say this was one of my favorite vacations,, we had no reason to leave the fabulous beach house. We played lots of family games and enjoyed time spent together. If you are looking for a great beach vacation, look no further. The charm and comforts of this home are sure to please you.

True Beach Treasure!

I’m not sure where to begin... We are a city family with three wildling boys. This charming beachside secluded home had everything we could’ve hoped! It was so cozy, felt like home. Bike ride mornings to beach days to outdoor spa worthy shower to movie nights. There was a treasure around every corner for us to find. Amazingly clean and fully stocked kitchen! Ann responded to our every need and request. This home is magical - a true escape from the hustle and bustle of life! We can’t wait to return! Pittsburgh PA

Clean, comfortable home; perfect setting

We live in Virginia Beach and rented this home for extended family that we could not accommodate at our house. There is plenty of room to congregate as a family or spread out if you want your own space. The upstairs porches, one inside and one out, are perfect for gazing at the ocean and the stars at night. The downstairs porch was relaxing as well with the swings. We appreciated the beach cart, chairs and toys and outdoor shower. The house is comfortably furnished and there are plenty of essentials in the kitchen. If you have a large family, you do have to share bathrooms to some extent, but because of the perfect setting and cleanliness of the property, it would not deter me from renting again. Like many other rental houses on the North End, it's old-school and that's part of the charm.

A Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation that we will always remember at this home. From the first point of contact, the owners could not have been more helpful. Thank you Ann and Bob! I agree with the past descriptions/reviews of the home. It was very clean and well stocked. For us, the outdoor shower was a tremendous plus. We’ve rented many homes in the past, and keeping it clean with children, was sometimes a stressor. All of our showers were outside, and when we came off the beach, the kids went directly into the shower; so easy. Probably the only thing I would do differently would be to rent/buy one of those wagons to get our gear to the beach more easily. Did I mention that the home was immaculate? All the cooking supplies that one would need are provided; the best I’ve seen. We also loved that the house provided a feel of a true beach home. Our family enjoyed being able to cook our meals and eat on the porch right next to the kitchen. Everything was lovely, and we will be back again!

The privacy afforded by the lot makes you feel like you're far removed from the hustle & bustle, but the shopping, dining, and other fun activities of the Virginia Beach resort area is just minutes away!

It is truly wonderful to wake up in the morning and simply walk a few hundred feet to the ocean for that first swim of the day! Then set up your beach camp with chairs and umbrellas for a relaxing day at the beach just steps from your kitchen, bathrooms, and shower. In the evening, you can enjoy our ocean front home plus tucked away private dune as a perfect end to a great day at the beach!
