Excellent place to stay. The pictures don't due it justice. Very, very clean and updated. We really enjoyed the outdoor sauna. Sits in a great location on a hill overseeing the lake. Can't say enough good things about the place. Will definitely stay there again if available. I would recommend this place to family and friends!

Had a wonderful stay. This cabin was absolutely beautiful and had all amenities that we needed. The sauna was great after our long hikes. Correspondence with Paul was quick/easy. Will definitely book again.

Cabin was exactly as described. It was clean and neat. Loved the screened in porch. Such an awesome thing to have when you don’t want to have to swat bugs away or douse yourself with bug spray. Cabin could use more hooks and shelves (like most cabins / places I’ve stayed in the past) We will definitely be back for another stay next year

My mother in law and I bring my two boys(4 and 9) to Old Forge every summer for a few nights. My 9 year old chose Camp Seneca this year based on how nice it looked inside(who knew he appreciated the indoor esthetics). The owners were easy to reach and we decided to stay an additional night. The beds were soft and the air conditioning kept us cool at night. The outdoor shower was nice for after the beach. The kitchen was the perfect size for us, and we made a few meals using the stovetop and oven. The campfire area and deck were a nice place to hang out and take in the beautiful scenery. It was great that we didnt have to make a trip to the dump before going home since the owners take care of the garbage removal. Check out Moose River Farm for a llama treck and farm tour while your in town. We would definitely return again.

Beautiful property. Beds were the most comfortable beds ive ever slept in. The sheets were so soft and luxurious. Sauna was a fun activity to do when the temperature dropped late at night. Kitchen is beautiful

Beautiful and clean cabin

The cabin is in a wooded neighborhood but you feel secluded. The cabin is cozy and very clean. The hosts were very responsive and generous with coffee, cream, and some bottled water. We sat outside and enjoyed the deck. And amazingly there were no bugs outside.

Long Weekend in the ADK!

My recent stay at this cabin just outside Old Forge, NY, was nothing short of delightful. Nestled in the heart of the Adirondacks on 1st Lake with quick trip to Old Forge or nearby Inlet, the cabin provided the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home with the serene surroundings and thoughtful touches inside the property.The recently restored interior was impeccably clean, with modern kitchen,1.5 bath and living room that retained its history. The screened front porch, patio and fire pit area provided many choices to chat and enjoy the quiet of your surroundings. Although there is no direct lake view, the cabin is situated on a secluded loop so there is a no traffic or noise from neighbors. The cozy cabin had all the modern conveniences, including high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, an outdoor sauna (for winter months). It’s clear the owners Paul and Kathy have put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home with an array of coffees and snacks. They were able to get us checked in 2 hours early which was very accommodating. This cabin is a gem in Old Forge, NY, and we can’t wait to return. It’s an excellent choice for a family or 4 looking to escape into nature without sacrificing comfort. Highly recommended!

Great place; Memory foam alert

"Camp Seneca" is a beautiful cabin, comfortable and cozy with terrific amenities, in a quiet, serene location. Each day I enjoyed making the difficult decision of where to eat my meals: on the screened porch or on the outside table under the umbrella. Having said that, I would also mention that the beds are both memory foam, either entirely or hybrid, which is not everyone's cup of tea. They are both also new or newer. If you don't change positions much in the night, it won't matter to you, but I found that after lying in one position for a while, I had essentially sunk into the mattress and so trying to turn over to a new position was like rolling uphill on a bumpy hill. I guess that's what's supposed to happen with that sort of mattress, but I found it very hard on my joints and back and did not sleep well. Sadly, it will prevent me from returning. In all other aspects, though, this is a wonderful place to stay. Just be aware of your sleep needs.

Great weekend getaway!

My husband and I rented Camp Seneca for a little weekend getaway from the kids and it was perfect. Little touches like robes and half and half in the fridge make a big difference. Highly recommend!

My friends and I had the perfect girls weekend here in this beautiful cabin. It was very clean and cozy. The sauna was perfect. It's small, but accomodated the 4 of us. We loved it! Great place. Great owners. Highly recommend!

Great Weekend at Camp Seneca!

Beautiful Spot way up over First Lake. Great Location for snowmobilers.Hop on Lake , Trail 4 to 5. Cabin finished perfectly. Will return with warmer weather!

Couldn’t ask for more

This is one of the best rentals I’ve booked in the Old Forge area. The space was perfect for our family of four. Close to everything we wanted to do, but private enough to have some respite.

Hidden Gem!

10/5 stars! We had the best time, this home is just beautiful! Located on a very private piece of land! The sauna was a nice extra touch! We enjoyed the private beach as well! Owner was very communicative! We will for sure be back!
