Finn's Hideaway - Secluded family home with river view

This large 4 bedroom house sits on 10 wooded acres. We have everything you will need for the entire family and are kid and baby friendly.

Your family will love the screened in main deck, wood fireplace on main floor, sand box, fire pit, outdoor dining, fruit orchard, and acres of hiking. There is plenty of space to park your boat and enjoy nature. Starlink internet available.

The primary suite has its own balcony, fireplace and home office on a secluded third story.

Sofa bed is Queen, and is located in the basement living room. Best suited for children or small adults. Basement bedroom has a rollaway twin in the closet. Both of these beds can be made up on request.

Great place and amenities

Tons of room to spread out and relax, enough parking for a truck and trailer. My Pella crews travel all over and this house worked for us.

Exceeded Expectations

This place was very nice. Its rare that the property is better then you see in the photos, but this place exceeded expectations. You could tell the property owner went above and beyond to make the stay nice. Would stay here again.

Comfortable stay

Place was comfortable and peaceful, the view was beautiful. The beds are very comfortable. Our struggles were the toilet in the third floor with the bidet, it was too small and the water pressure in the shower was weak. The stairs to the upper room are dangerous and narrow, but we were warned before renting. Host was very responsive all the time and check in and check out process was simple. It was a short but comfortable stay for us!

Overall Great

Our group had a great time here. The location was close to a town that had some local restaurants and a Walmart for forgotten items. The place was very clean, loved the screened in porch. Lots of room throughout. The upstairs suite was very nice. Only thing to keep in mind is if you are planning to cook, the oven is on the smaller side.

Best Place to Stay when Visiting Nauvoo

Only my wife and I stayed, but this location has 4 bedrooms for the entire family. It was quiet and a short drive to Historical Nauvoo along the Mississippi River, about 10-13 miles. There are places to turn out and see the river, and our main reason for going was it is also close to several boat ramps where we took our boat and got to ride on the river and see Nauvoo from that vantage point. I could really tell the owners tried to think of everything to make our stay Perfect. We Loved it and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our family and friends.

Perfect for family gathering

This home had everything we needed for our family gathering (funeral). Plenty of space inside, fire pit outside, several spacious bedrooms, clean bathrooms and kitchen even toys in the secret closet and plenty of parking. The view was wonderful!!! You’ll love this spot!

There was hair and blood on the sheets. The out of town owner tried to make it right. The cleaning person replaced some sheets that were clean, but the sheets in the main nice bedroom were replaced with another set of dirty bedding. This was our second time there and we will not return.

Beautiful stay. Close to everything you need but feels like your own private getaway. Very well stocked and the kids loved the children’s room and pool table. They were super helpful when we had an Internet issue and my husband had to work from home and got it up quickly. Beautiful views and outdoor spaces. My only caution would be that the gorgeous primary suite is up a cute but harder to climb set of spiral stairs so if you have accessibility concerns use one of the other rooms or pick a different location. We loved our stay! Thank you!

Just what I needed

The name is spot on - hideaway. Our family enjoyed a week here. So wonderful to get back to nature! Will book again for sure. The home is well appointed. The bug and sun sprays at the exits were wonderful as we forgot ours. The only thing I wished I had done was look to see what brand the king mattress in the downstairs was. I hadn't slept so good in yearsyears.

Beautifully updated house with spectacular view. Nearby to geode mining and other towns. The house itself was nicely furnished with any and all amenities that you may need. The upstairs suite area is cozy yet luxurious and the downstairs has plenty of space for families.

This place is set on a beautiful, quiet, forested piece of land. The home is beautifully furnished, especially nice for children with its play room under the stairs, and well equipped for cooking and for sleeping. The views from the screened porch and the upper master bedroom are incredible. We absolutely loved our stay at Finn's Hideaway. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

This house is actually where I grew up. When my father passed I could not stand to let go of such a beautiful and special property. We have renovated it for use for our growing family, and we hope that your family will enjoy it as much as we have.

This house has amazing views of the river from every room. Nestled back in 10 acres of forests you will feel like you are on your own private estate. With two large decks, two big patio areas, a large open concept kitchen and living room area and a family game room you will have no shortage of places to hang out and spend time with the family. When its time to get away, this house has a master suite with its own balcony, a home office, and a newly renovated en suite bathroom.

This house has been completely remodeled as of spring 2023, and it shows. Its beautiful, clean and instagram ready.

We have all the accessories that small children require, so you won't need to travel with them. Just ask!
