Beautiful original flat top cottage brings back the vintage feel with all of the updates and modern amenities you are looking for in a vacation cottage. Direct beach access on our street, 2 minutes away at the Avalon Pier. This super cute 3 bedroom 1 bath cottage has been lovingly renovated from top to bottom and is deep cleaned between each guest. Cleanest, cutest cottage on the beach. Great location close to everything. You will love the feel of this original Nags Head cottage perfect for the smaller group. 2 minute walk to the beach and the Avalon Pier. Bring the pets and make it a summer to remember!

Nice and peaceful

2nd time staying here. Quiet neighborhood and short walk to the ocean. Very well stocked with everyday items. Easy check in and out. Would recommend!

The Funky Flamingo was a great place to stay. Great location and kitchen was furnished to prepare meals. Instructions were easy to follow Communication with the owner was great also. She was quick to respond. We hope to be able to stay again in the future.

This property was perfect for my family. It is in the perfect location for spending time at the beach and making memories, and keeping us cool at night during this heat wave! Everything we needed was available. We are thinking of making this a yearly trip, and my kids won't want to stay anywhere other than this "flamingo house!"

A Must-Stay Perfect OBX Beach Rental

Thanksgiving week vacation

Great stay

House is in a great location. Our stay was wonderful. Property owner was responsive and helpful. The only thing I would change is an update to the outdoor shower area so there is privacy and warm water.

Great location

The property was a great location and it was perfect for our visit. We were able to watch fireworks from the driveway instead of dealing with the very busy beach. It was close to restaurants and shopping and two minute walk to the beach.

The home was very clean and well kept. It was nice to have a short walk to the beach since we have two small children. The owners of the home were very nice and attentive.

Great location

We had a wonderful time at the beach. The location of the property made it very convenient to get everywhere we wanted to go. It took two minutes to walk to the beach. The house was well maintained and perfect for us. Would definitely stay again.

What a Gem!!

We planned a last-minute getaway; and we found a gem! This place is perfect for a family of 4. The best part is so much cleaner than a hotel!! Short walk to beach, shop and food. Almost a perfect 5 in all categories, but a 5-star overall!

Charming and clean

My family of four really enjoyed our stay and everything was just as described. The house is closer to the beach then it looks in the pics and the house had plenty of space and stocked with an abundance of necessities. House was very clean upon our arrival and in a central location. Will stay again

Loved our stay!

Our family of 4 and 1 four legged family member loved our stay at the Funky Flamingo! The house was just the right size. The neighborhood was quiet and we were so close to the beach! The house was clean and stocked with what we needed. The owner was extremely nice and made sure we were happy, she was a delight to talk to and work with. We will be coming back to the Outer Banks and the Funky Flamingo will be on our list to stay in again!

Great location, updated and super clean

We had a great vacation! My husband likes to fish and could walk to the pier (3-4 minutes), my son and I walked along and played on the beach right next to pier. Couple of restaurants within walking also. House was equipped with everything we could need and owner was very responsive. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect!!

We absolutely loved this house! It was perfect. Decorated beautifully and well maintained. Morning walks to the beach to take in the sunrises took all of 3 minutes. The owner was very responsive to any questions or concerns (not that we had any) I would definitely recommend this property to anyone and will most definitely be renting again.
