Enjoy the heated pool and attached spa, or use our kayaks and paddleboards to row out to the bay and view the mangroves, wildlife and sea life. You might even spot the manatees that live in our canals! It is illegal to touch, feed or harass the manatees.
Lush and beautiful Emerson Point Preserve is just around the corner at the point of our little island. There are walking trails throughout the preserve/park and you are sure to see white ibises, great blue herons, cranes, anhingas, and many other birds, and you may spots turtles, raccoons and other wildlife. There is a small beach at the point of the preserve that is perfect for watching the sunset.
Beaches are 30 to 40 minutes away including Holmes Beach, Anna Maria Island beaches, and Coquina Beach.
Or spend a day in St. Petersburg, 30 minutes north. Here you’ll find great restaurants, breweries, shopping and world class art museums. Tampa has lots to offer as well being 45 minutes or so north.
Or head south to Bradenton or Sarasota for more great restaurants, a farmers market, the Bishop Museum of Science and Nature, (just across the Manatee River in Bradenton), the Ringling Art Museum in Sarasota, and shopping on St. Armand’s Circle, Sarasota. Also, we are less than a 2 hours drive to Disney World, a little more than an hours drive to Busch Gardens, and the Everglades are about 2 1/2 to 3 hours south where you can take a tour on an airboat and try to spot alligators and other South Florida wildlife.
There is so much to do here in southwest Florida, but you might just prefer relaxing at our little private water oasis in a quiet canal community where we provide beach towels, floats, and sunscreen. And after a day enjoying the water activities or beaches, relax in our media room with theater system where you can stream your favorite shows. We look forward to making your stay special! We offer a 5% discount for a 7 or more night booking, and a 10% discount for a full month booking. PLEASE NOTE: We do have a cat. He will not be on the property during your stay and the house will be thoroughly and professionally cleaned before you arrive.
