“The Double Decker` is Condo 2, a 4-bedroom unit within the Oneida Lake House, a renovated lakefront property with a total of five condos.

This is the second-largest of the five units, with a full kitchen, a living room with a 65` smart TV, and arcade games for extra fun.
Step out to the shared lawn, firepit, hot tubs, and beach just a few steps away. Grill, sip a drink under the gazebo, or gather around the fire as the sun sets over the lake.

Please note that this property is part of a multi-unit house. While your unit is entirely private, the laundry area and all outdoor amenities (such as the yard, patio, and hot tubs) are shared with guests staying in other units on the property.

Unit #2 is located on the 2nd floor of a multi-unit building and is accessed through the shared front door. A spiral staircase leads to the upper units—please be mindful of other guests’ privacy when using shared spaces.

🤫 Please keep noise levels reasonable in all outdoor areas after 9:00 PM. Quiet hours are strictly enforced to ensure a peaceful experience for everyone.
🎉 Parties & Events -Parties are not allowed under any circumstances unless prior notice and explicit permission is given. This includes family gatherings, large birthdays, or other significant events. All must be cleared by the host before booking.
👥 Extra Guests - All additional guests must be approved in advance. Unauthorized guests may result in an additional charge—or, depending on the situation, immediate removal of all guests from the property without a refund.


🐾 Pet Rules
All pets must be approved in advance.
🐶 $75 cleaning fee for the first pet.
🐕 Each additional pet (up to 2) = 50% of that fee.

The entryway of Oneida Lake House includes two large washers and dryers for guest use. We provide 2 laundry pods to get you started.

🛁 Hot Tub Rules
🚿 Rinse off sand, lotion, or tanning oils in the outdoor shower before entering.
⚠️ Use at your own risk – we are not responsible for accidents or injuries.
🚫 No glass in or around the hot tub.
👙 Swimsuits required at all times – clothing is not optional.
🧒 Children must be supervised at all times and follow the same rules.
🌡️ Do not exceed 104°F.
🌀 Turn off jets and close the lid after each use.
❌ Do not sit, lie, or stand on the lid.
🏊 No jumping or diving into the hot tub.
-Please treat our home and amenities with the same respect you would your own, leave home in same condition you found it and if you notice anything broken or out of place let us know right away
-No smoking and no recreational or illegal drug use whatsoever on the property. Any evidence of smoke in the home after check out will be subject to a $300 fine and any guests found to be partaking in illegal drug use while still inhabiting the home will be removed immediately, no refund will be issued and possible legal ramifications will ensue
-Please be extremely careful with starting a fire in the outdoor kitchen fireplace. Please clean up any garbage left around this area and use caution when enjoying a fire
-Parties are not allowed under any circumstances unless prior notice and permission is given such as a family gathering, large birthday, significant event, etc. All must be cleared by the host prior to booking
-Respect the neighbors: it is very important that noise levels are kept reasonable in the outdoor areas after 10pm. If there are any complaints we may not be able to continue hosting in the future and any repeated noise complaints will result in removal from property
-Please notify us of any extra house guests as they must be approved before staying- you may be charged an additional fee or, depending on the circumstances, we will enforce a removal from the property for all guests immediately without a refund
-Report damages and anything in non-working condition
-Please no food or drink in the bedrooms, guests will be liable to compensate host for any stains
-It is self check in and out with a smart code that will be given a few days prior to your booking. Guests are required to lock all windows and doors before they depart
-Pets must be approved before entering the home. If pets are brought in without consent from the host there will be a $250 fine and depending on the circumstances all guests may be removed from the property with out a refund.

Rental needs maintenance

First rental was double booked. Had to move to a different location . Rain water poured through the living room ceiling. Was awakened all night from the roof coming off structure from high winds.

Comfortable and pleasant environment

This was our 40th year vacationing at Sylvan Beach. Our first year was at the Oneida and several years since. We have witness many remodels of the property over the year. We enjoy the location and the access to the beach. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well stocked. Unfortunately, there is a major issue with the upstairs shower leaking into the downstairs bathroom, making the floor dangerous and flooding the light fixture and making it short out. I would recommend that more towel fixtures and or hooks be added to rooms for hanging towels and clothing. There is also a need for hand rails in the bathrooms and on the deck and beach steps for handicap visitors.

Property was very comfortable. Note that there is only one full bathroom. Owners were very responsive and accommodating! Cleaning staff very helpful as well.

Disappointing Overall

Unfortunately this unit was far from ideal. First, there is no air conditioning in the main living space but the listing indicates the unit is air conditioned. There is no way to move air through as the doors do not have screens so you cannot leave them open. This is one of several units in the same property and there are no blinds on any windows or doors so there is no privacy whatsoever. Other guests were regularly looking directly into the unit. We immediately addressed these concerns with the landlord but nothing was done to correct it though they indicated they’d look into it and get back to us. We never heard back. The bathrooms were both lacking and be careful turning on the shower as it’s far too powerful for the small space. There is little to no closet space in bedrooms. Walls (or makeshift doors) that separate units are extremely low quality so you hear all other guests and their dogs as if they are in your unit. One of my friends woke up covered in bugs, the entire room was covered, as they came in through a window a/c unit. Hot tub was dirty and full of sand. We’ve stayed in the penthouse previously and it was beautiful but this was very different. Location is beautiful, can’t beat the views, but I would not recommend this unit. In sharing our concerns with the owner/property manager nothing was done other than thanking us for our feedback. Really disappointing overall.
