Este hermoso condominio, que cuenta con una cocina recientemente remodelada y electrodomésticos de Fisher y Paykel, es un lugar perfecto para planificar sus aventuras para el día. La mejor playa de Hawái, snorkel, surf, boogie boarding, buceo, kayak y avistamiento de ballenas hacen de la playa de Kaanapali un verdadero patio de recreo para los amantes del océano. Beautiful Views

This resort boasts beautiful landscape and Ocean views. Perfect for adults or families. It’s conveniently located steps away from Whalers Village. We enjoyed dining at all of the restaurants along the beach walk. Friendly front desk staff as well! The units are individually owned, so many have not been updated. Our unit was very clean, but really needs some bathroom and carpet updates.

Can't beat the Whaler

The location of the Whaler is fantastic. All rooms have a view of the ocean. In this unit, the kitchen is well stocked and beautifully remodeled. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Would definitely stay here again!

50th Anniversary Trip

We have stayed at the Whaler any times in the past and it is one of our favorite places in the world. The resort is fine but I would not stay in this unit again. It was advertised as being recently remodeled which is not true. The carpet was filthy and the bathroom floor had hair all over it when we checked in. The kitchen may have had new countertops but I don’t think the bathroom had been touched since it was built in the sixties. I personally removed two roaches from the unit the day we checked in. We love the Whaler and its location but we would choose a different unit next time.

Cleanliness

The unit needs a deep cleaning especially the bathroom-caulk,grout really dirty. Cabinetry and hardware sticky,dirty. 2 plates in the cupboard were coated with dry food.

Great Vacation in Hawaii

The Whaler is a terrific place to stay in Maui. My wife and I were both very happy we choose this property. The room was beyond our expectations, very comfortable and the view was awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone. Right next to Whalers Village with dozens of shops and great places to eat all along the beach. We will be definitely be back!

Beautiful property - amazing location

The location was perfect, walking distance to restaurants and shops. The beach is clean with great snorkeling right off the shore. Our unit was well equipped, clean with a really nice ocean view. We’ll be back!! The management company was very responsive, helpful and answered all our questions without delay.

MD/DC's 2023 Maui Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is in a perfect location with a wonderful view. However, it felt like I was staying in my Uncle's basement - the furniture is at least 30 years old as are the soft furnishings. I woke up thinking I was 20 years old again and wondering if my sheets were clean (the sheets even felt 30 years old). A little investment in furniture and soft furnishings would push this place past the 5 stars mark. Also, we had a problem with a neighbor smoking weed on his lanai. However one feels about pot, this is a non-smoking building and the stench made it impossible to use the lanai or open our screen doors. It took management 2 days to get back to us, in the meantime we had contacted security. Even with all of this, Maui is a magical place and the condo building is truly a perfect location.

Great views and location

We loved the location of this property right next to whalers village and just down from black rock for great snorkeling. The unit was spacious for a studio and the deck was quite large. The only negative thing I would say, and it's minor, is that the living room area has carpet and it has some stains which I think make the overall appearance of the condo not as aesthetically pleasing. The unit and the property were clean and comfortable and I would stay there again.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. Reviewer Comments: Room had a great view, but needed several things including very spotted rug replaced due to prior use.Main problem was lack of support for after hours problem when cooling system failed.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in unit 1216 managed by The Whaler in June 2022. From the moment we checked in we felt unwelcome by the condescending staff. Staff barely acknowledged us when we arrived at the front desk for check in, we felt like we were bothering them by checking into our room. Our room card didn’t work and they made us go up and down 3 times to check to see if the new card worked. Luckily we are both 30 years old so the hike up and down wasn’t too bad. No one assisted us with our bags when we arrived so we used one of the “amenity shopping carts” to transport our luggage. We paid a 300 dollar fee upon arrival and 200 dollars after check out. During our stay, we asked staff for clean bath towels but were told we weren’t entitled to those because that wasn’t included in the fees we paid. Staff told us we can wash our own towels. There was also a giant hole in the ceiling above the shower which made noise throughout our entire stay. When we went to exchange the pool towels we paid for, the guy Joseph was extremely rude and condescending and made us feel so small for asking for clean towels. Overall, we had a horrible experience at The Whaler. The next time we return to Maui, we will not be staying here or recommending this place to our friends and family.

Loved the Whaler

This property has been there for many years, but is meticulously maintained. The particular unit we stayed in, however, suffers from some deferred maintenance. We were comfortable, however and enjoyed our stay.

Waking up to the view of the ocean/black rock and having coffee out on the deck was a great way to start our days - so magical to see whales from the deck, too! The grounds, amenities, and staff at the Whaler were all spectacular. We had such a great time staying here - and we would totally come back and stay at the same unit the next time we visit Maui!

Wonderful property and location

Best location in Kaanapali, great view, updated small (but modern) kitchen area. Bathroom old, not cleaned well, and the rest of the condo was also tired, but spacious for a studio. If you've been to this area before, you'll be very happy in this unit, but it's not as clean and modern as a nicer hotel.
