Mix of an Historic house and a new building in heart of Reykjavik

A gem of a house. A new beautiful, spacious cosy and relaxing house, build 2021, that is a mix of an historic house and a totally new building in the heart of Reykjavík.

The house is on 3 levels:

There are two main entrance accesses. You can either enter on the second floor or you can enter the building on the ground floor where you have a front room and two bedrooms, one bedroom with double bed (140x200 cm) and the other bedroom with 120x200 cm and 90x200 cm beds, Spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and a laundry room. The ground floor has an entrance to the outdoor area where there is a outdoor dining table and a lovely area.

On the 1st floor you enter into a front room. This floor has a guest bathroom, a fully loaded kitchen with everything you need and a nice and spacious living and dining room. There are two balconies on this floor, one with a great outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with a great view.

On the 2nd floor you have the master bedroom with a 160x200 cm size bed, we can add an extra single bed 90x200cm if needed, and a master bathroom, with a nice bathtub / shower and a home office.

The House faces south with a beautiful view over the bay – at the other side of the bay is Bessastaðir the President’s Residency J. The veranda is very nice in the summer where you can BBQ and sit outside and relax and enjoy the view.

In the house there is a cat, called Grjóni, he is really independent and loves to have guests. The only thing that is required is to let him in and out.

The House is located very close to the University of Iceland campus with many restaurants and the National museum of Iceland is 800 meters away and only 15 minutes walk to the city centre (3 minutes by bus – the bus stop is only a few meters away). It is located on the South-West side of Reykjavik city centre. There is a 25 minutes walk from the fly-bus station.
There are food stores nearby open 24 hours – there is a swimming pool and a gym within walking distance. The cycling and walking path around the city is next to the house on the coastline.
Nauthólsvík Geothermal beach is in walking distance, there is a very nice restaurant / cafe called Nauthóll.

We have a baby crib and high chair for your children.

We provide linen, towels and soap etc.

We manage over 85 properties here in Iceland, most of them in the Reykjavik area and also outside of Reykjavik.  Please let us know if you would like to split your stay, some nights in Reykjavik and some outside of Reykjavik.  We also offer long term renting.
