Sitting in the Rock River Valley, Oregon, Illinois is a charming town with much to offer visitors. Three state parks full of hiking trails are nearby. Rent canoes or kayaks to float down the scenic Rock River.
Walking distance from our home is Park West with a trail, tennis courts, play area, splash pad and a sledding hill. Downtown Oregon's restaurants, bars and stores are a quick drive or a pleasant walk.
For business travelers, the Byron plant, Woods, Etnyre and KSB Hospital are short drives.
The space
This 2 story house has 2 bedrooms, bathroom, full kitchen, and living room area on each floor. The entire house can be rented or just the downstairs (the upstairs will not get booked as a separate unit). Internal doors connect the 2 units giving it the feel of a single home, with an extra kitchen thrown in! There is also a stackable washer/dryer unit on each floor. The back yard has a small deck and is completely fenced. Well-behaved furry friends are welcome. The house sits on a quiet street with easy parking.
Guest access
I will send you a code before arrival to access the house. There is a gravel driveway on the property for parking as well as easy street parking.
Other things to note
We do not live in the area, but we have a property manager nearby who can be contacted for questions or emergencies.

My family has been in Oregon for nearly 200 years and I graduated from the local high school. I love to travel and currently live overseas in the Philippines with my husband and three children but regularly return to Northern Illinois to enjoy the nearby state parks and all that Oregon and the surrounding area has to offer.

This 1940 home is in a great location in Oregon with stores and restaurants a short drive or a pleasant walk away. The kitchens are well-stocked to prepare full meals if you wish. We are travelers and often rent homes so have tried to stock the house with all the amenities we appreciate when we are guests in other people's homes.
Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial
The house opens up with both floors connected inside, giving it the feel of a family home. But if you're traveling with older children or friends, the second kitchen and bathroom plus additional washer/dryer upstairs allows everybody to have their own living space. We do accept well-behaved pets for an additional pet fee. Our backyard is spacious and completely fenced-in so your dog (or your kids, depending on ages!) can be outside without needing constant supervision. The Nash recreation center - with low guest pass rates - is nearby and features a great gym and an indoor swimming pool. Park West is also nearby with a walking/running/biking trail, playground, tennis courts, and splash pad. The Wiggly Field (lots of Cubs fans in the area!) off-leash Dog Park is near the house.
