Minutes from the Pink Lift at Shanty Creek

Finished in January 2023, Warbler House is a custom-built home in a great location. Sitting on an acre inside of Shanty Creek’s Schuss Mountain resort. Walk to skiing, snowmobiling, or snowshoeing right out your back door. Grab a six-pack at Short’s Brewing Company 8 minutes away, sample local wines from the stocked wine fridge, toast marshmallows by the fire pit, or take a moment to enjoy the solitude of the woods as you sit in the chair lift swing on the covered patio. Antrim county gets more snow than any other part of Michigan making it the perfect winter wonderland to enjoy all winter or celebrate the holidays.

Warbler House is the ideal place for a ski weekend with your friends, a bachelorette party, a family weekend, or any occasion. Two rooms downstairs offer flexibility with a queen and two twin beds that share the downstairs bath. The upstairs suite features a king bed, trundle bed, and full bathroom. Privacy upstairs makes it the perfect space for families.

We love Bellaire, Traverse City, and Torch Lake and built Warbler House as a home base to enjoy them all. We’re excited to share that with you. Ask us about the best spots for leaf peeping, great food, and amazing beer and cocktails just minutes away.

Ski weekend success, this place was the perfect resting spot for our weekend at Shanty Creek. Cozy, comfortable, kid, parent and grandparent friendly, easy access to the resorts, description/pictures are accurate. Especially loved the entry way when it came to ski gear, it snowed like crazy while we were there and we had all the room needed to make sure everything was dry for the next outing. Had a little issue with the door keypad and John was super quick to respond and give a quick tip to help. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed up at this property for our Christmas week and vacation this year accommodations were awesome. It was close to the ski hill and we really enjoyed everything about this home. I would recommend anybody looking for a place close to Schuss Mountain and all of its amenities to consider this place strongly.

Don’t hesitate to stay here. Beautiful home, fully stocked kitchen, responsive and caring host! Close to lots of amazing things. As a bonus primary bedroom was perfect for traveling with a child (rocking chair).

We loved our stay. Our group consisted of 2 adults and 3 adult teenagers. We had enough room to spread out. The kitchen is great, with beautiful appliances. Two full bathrooms and the three bedrooms were perfect. Entire chalet was clean, only complaint would be numerous spider webs in the screened in porch, but there is a broom to knock them down. Never saw any creepy spiders. We rented a pontoon and launched from Bell Aire one day, and that was a 10 minute drive to the dock. Another day we launched a boat from Torch Lake, and that was maybe a 20 minute drive. About a hour and half drive to Mackinac Island. We had no problems with check in, and check out was easy!

This house was a great place to stay. It had everything we needed. We spent the day on torch lake and this was a quick drive to the lake and to nearby restaurants.

We had some trouble on check in and check out but the house is very nice and roomy. Great location with peaceful woods and a fire pit. Kitchen is awesome and has everything you need - except no griddle for pancakes - but it seems most rentals I stay in don’t have this. The wine fridge is nice to have to put your drinks in. There were no sample wines in it as stated in the listing but that didn’t bother us. Beds are comfortable - we stayed downstairs and had the kids upstairs since it had the trundle. Would prefer some upgraded linens on the downstairs queen bed. Close to the shanty creek resort pool and just a bit further to the town- Bellaire is adorable and Shorts Brewing is great. We went to Torch lake for a day and that was an easy drive and the boys golfed and that was close and great course (summit) as well. Nothing is really walkable from the house though. Lots of games, books, cards etc. at the house. Would stay here again if wanted to hang out with family as it is a great hang out house. Would also be nice for the ski slope in winter. There is no hot tub.

We were very impressed with the house. Very nice and spacious. Fit 8 of us comfortably. Screened in porch was large enough to play corn hole when it was raining. Pretty much had everything that we needed for our long weekend.

Great Stay!!

Amazing stay. Such a beautiful cabin with so many amenities. We loved all the cabin had to offer including so many small touches such as white noise machines in every room, makeup towels, and really cute relaxation in progress on bedroom doorknobs. The summer room is fantastic! Great way to enjoy the outdoors even really late at night. We for sure will be staying again!

Nice and close to ski

Spacious and clean. Had all we needed for a family ski vacation. We had unfortunate issues with no hot water, but the host was responsive and had repairmen come twice to help….

Ultimate Family Winter Getaway

We loved the property as it is better than the pictures. The large mudroom was perfect for all of our skiing family. The location is close to the slopes and in a pretty wooded area. All beds are top notch as all of us were comfortable.I just can’t think of anything that could have been better! John is so easy to work with as well.

Beautiful place. Really enjoyed the fireplace and games after a long day of skiing. Beds were comfy, lots of room and storage to take ski gear off. Would stay here again.
