Experience the authentic St. Lucian experience at this 6 bedroom 6 bath villa,

Colibri Cottage is situated on Malgretoute Bay, a quiet haven for sailboats and yachts cruising the Caribbean. Sea, sharing your view of the Petit Piton - St. Lucia's prized World Heritage site. Colibri (hummingbird in the native language) Cottage a large villa pool ideal for swimming laps or just floating around; beach access just steps away, lovely flower gardens humming with birds and butterflies; and porches and decks for reading or napping. There is also much to see and do just a short drive away: botanical gardens, a rain forest, hiking, resorts with excellent restaurants - even a live volcano.

Colibri Cottage is made up of two adjacent villas. The main villa, which has hosted Prince Phillip in the past, has lovely colonial architecture, has two bedrooms with en suite baths, king sized four poster beds and attractive common areas. The detached two story villa is divided into two apartments each with two bedrooms including beds that flexibly convert from king size to twins, two bathrooms, living room/kitchenette and long graceful verandas with cooling ceiling fans and spectacular views. Colibri Cottage is the perfect location for a small, intimate wedding, a family reunion or a group of friends (no more than 12) getting together. It is a quiet, peaceful villa perfect for unwinding and relaxing.

A Smart TV is available in the living room & a housekeeper (Lavina) and resident grounds keeper (Randall) will do everything necessary to make your stay pleasant.

There is daily cleaning, and bi-weekly linen changes. Lavina can cook breakfast (client to supply the groceries/ingredients), and her hours are from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm. Lunch can be prepared at an additional cost of US $75.00 & Dinner service can be provided at an additional fee of US$115.00 per evening, payable to Lavina (this includes her taxi fare home). Please note, the client is responsible for the groceries for cooking. Personal laundry is available at a fee of US$10.00 per load. Randall is the resident caretaker and takes care of the pool and the garden maintenance.

STAFF: Housekeeper, Gardener/Caretaker - Daily 9.30am - 3.30pm

Great stay. We arrived late in the day on Saturday and both Lavina and Randall were there to greet us and make us feel welcome. Lavina was absolutely wonderful. Cooked us the best meals... honestly, we should have had her cook the entire time.

Breathtaking views

Just an amazing stay. Views are incredible, very clean facility, well stocked kitchen. Levina and Randall were great and not intrusive at all. We initially were a little worried about the lack of AC, but that was really not an issue at all. The rooms stay nice and cool at night. 10/10, would recommend!

Super nice villa with breathtaking views. Sunset can be admired directly from the pool. Mango & lime tree in the garden. In real life, the villa is even more beautiful than in the pictures😍

Amazing Villa in Paradise!

We had the best time during our stay at Colibri Cottage. We were in St. Lucia for our daughter's wedding. Our group of 12 was really comfortable at the villa, and it was located close to both the wedding and the reception venue. Lavinia, Martina and Randall were fantastic. Lavinia's cooking is amazing, and she outdid herself with each meal. We would definitely stay again and have already recommended the place to friends.

A very special place and lovely team Livinia and Randel who looked after the property. The view is as good as it gets and the house is very charming. Not everything is brand new, for example ceiling fans rather than aircon. That is part of its classic charm. We hope to return and loved our stay. Livinia was amazing as a cook and very charming. Really fabulous. Randall keeps the gardens very well and is appreciated.

Dear Colibri Cottage, Thank you for your hospitality, your peaceful atmosphere and the most spectacular view I know. Thank you goes to Lavina for her cheerful, helpful presence and to Randall who is right there when you need him, reliable and charming. We like to cook - all of us. And since we are a family of 5, we had great fun making fresh tuna, Caribbean vegetables and enjoying it all with Rum Punch!

The sound of gentle waves as one sleeps ina very high bedand sail boats from a different era sailing by - what can be more magical? Delicious salads and tropical fruits in the middle of winter and the company of involved and inspiring people to share the experience. This villa exceeded our expectations—truly more beautiful in person than in the photos. The views from the outdoor dining area and the pool are nothing short of spectacular. What truly sets the experience apart, however, are Lavina and Randall. Lavina, in particular, is the secret ingredient: gracious and attentive without ever being intrusive, endlessly capable, and a wonderful cook. She prepared delicious meals and beautiful salads throughout our stay. Returning to the U.S. meant saying goodbye to leisurely breakfasts prepared for us as we gazed out at the Pitons—a luxury that quickly became second nature.We dined out twice. Rabot Restaurant and Cacao Bar was exceptional—every dish was creative and delicious, and the service was warm and polished. Highly recommended. We also enjoyed lunch at Anse Mamin beach bar, which offered good food, a lovely beach, and good snorkeling. We had hoped to dine at Sugar Beach, but it wasn’t possible—and in hindsight, we didn’t feel we missed much. The beach was crowded, snorkeling mediocre, and overall atmosphere felt snobbish. If you’re staying in Soufrière, I’d skip Sugar Beach and take a water taxi to Anse Chastanet instead. We also highly recommend our tour guide, water taxi captain, and driver Derek (Instagram: @hnp_boattours). He was knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. I’ve traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, and this was my first visit to St. Lucia. By far, it’s the best island I’ve experienced.

Dear Colibri. Thank you so much for our fabulous time at this magical place. My family and I have travelled extensively, but never have we had this view(s) in our backyard. The pool seeming to empty into the sea, the beautiful landscaping, fruits and herbs for your dinners at your fingertips, the uniqueness and quaintness of this lovely old cottage, the house bird who greeted me every morning, the goats baaing in the background and the cool breezes flowing through the house. I cannot say enough about the warmth, kindness and attentiveness we've received from Lavinia and Randall. Thank You!!!

I treated my daughter, son in law and 3 teenagers to this wonderful holiday. Every one of us had a fantastic time and enjoyed the beautiful house and gardens. The pool was fantastic and much fun was had by all of us of all ages. Lavinia was wonderful, catering for all our needs and cooking us some beautiful tasty meals. The beds were comfortable and the fans very necessary. There were ample, comfortable shady areas, a necessity in the scorching sun. The views were to die for, sunsets stunning . Bathrooms perhaps needed a little updating. Beautiful memories built. I am 81 this year and managed to conquer the zip wire feat nearby , have a rum and chocolate tasting and shower under a volcanic waterfall and bathe in the hot springs. My grandchildren accompanied me and they also went deep sea diving. All in one week. Wow!!!!!

One of the very best villas in St Lucia!

Quite honestly the amazing photo's don't actually do Colibri Cottage justice. It's location, grounds and views are absolutely stunning and the layout of the outside terrace/s and grounds work in complete harmony with the location, surroundings and views. It's difficult to describe without actually being there, but it's a magical place and we are already planning our next trip. Lavina (house manager) and Randal (groundsman) were BRILLIANT. Kind, friendly, helpful, attentive but discrete. 11 out of 10 service levels. Villa also located in the best spot on the island for exploring most of the best attractions. The Pitons (10 mins drive away), Sugar Beach (5 mins drive), Soufriere (10 minutes easy walk along the coast), Hot springs (5 mins drive), Anse Chastanet with great snorkelling and diving (15 mins drive). Loads of good restaurants in easy reach. Brilliant! Top tip hire your own car as the roads are perfectly fine and not busy. Perfect!
