Disfrute de esta unidad de esquina frente al mar / playa de arena con un balcón envolvente que cuelga sobre el océano en la parte delantera y lo que parece una playa de arena 'privada' al lado. (Una unidad de esquina final) ¡Este NO es un complejo de gran altura! (¡nadie encima o debajo de ti!) Una ubicación verdaderamente invaluable con amplias actualizaciones y aire acondicionado (una rareza muy necesaria en West Maui Condos.) ¡NO FUMADORES! Alquilamos sábado a sábado 7 noches mínimo. HI TAL # W30314040-02

Todo recientemente remodelado y muy mejorado con hermosos mostradores de granito en la cocina y los baños, pisos de baldosas de piedra fea, azulejos personalizados en las duchas, televisores de pantalla plana en la sala de estar y dormitorio principal. La sala de estar está abajo con 1/2 baño, mientras que arriba, las habitaciones tienen sus propios baños completos. Se incluye una cocina bien equipada, ropa de cama mejorada (incluidas toallas de playa) (los baños cuentan con secador de pelo). Hay una barra de gas común-b-q justo debajo de nuestros pasos. Área cubierta al aire libre para sombra. Nada más como esto en Maui. Despiértese con una vista al mar antes de levantar la cabeza de la almohada. Vistas de las islas Molokai y Lanai desde la sala de estar y el dormitorio principal. Observe las tortugas durante todo el año y las ballenas saltando en el invierno directamente desde la sala de estar y los balcones. Este lugar increíble para hospedarse en Maui fue nuestro segundo hogar personal y lo volvimos a alquilar. Todos los que se quedan aquí dicen 'Guau' cuando entran por la puerta. ¡Realmente no hay un lugar como este justo en el agua! ¡Qué joya!

This was a third visit to the beautiful place. We enjoy the secluded complex away from all the hustle and bustle of the larger resorts. Lynn's unit is beautifully furnished with everything you would expect to find in your own home. Lynn provides an extensive list of local restaurants, shops and activities which makes planning easy. The oceanfront corner unit is quiet and private... no better place to watch turtle, whales and capture the fabulous sunsets.

The view of the ocean was so smazing. We could see turtles swimming and surfacing for air. Every evening we enjoyed watching the sunset with the island as a backdrop. The rainbows were also lovely. Last year when we stayed her we saw a moonbow-magical.

We arrived with our two 10 year old grandchildren. They were very happy to run to the deck to spot their first turtle, one of many sightings. Beautiful sunsets looking out to Molokai . We did some snorkeling in the bay Until the big waves arrived. Then they turned to the pool and were very happy. The grounds keepers surprised them by cutting down some bananas and papayas for them. All in all a comfortable and happy experience.

Lynn's place is INCREDIBLE! We thought we had died and gone to heaven during the week we stayed there. We loved watching the sunsets every night from the unit/lanai. Lynn was so great to deal with, she answered all questions before our arrival and even ordered a brand new umbrella for us to use during our stay. There was a backup person available if she was hard to reach. We felt so well taken care of! The location of her unit is the best I've ever seen, and it has a sandy (swimmable) beach, pool, and BBQ facilities. There are lounge chairs all around the pool and grass that are positioned under palm trees that face the ocean. It's SO dreamy! We were there the week of Aug. 9-17 and the place was virtually empty! I'm not sure if that was due to school back in session or if it's just a hidden gem. There was a bit of a swell the first few days of our stay and the waves pounded the beach but we loved the sound. There were people staying in the unit next to us that have been coming to this place for years and they told us that turtles come up to the reef below our deck in the afternoon and feed on the reef. Due to the big swell, we didn't see turtles doing this but hope to come back someday and experience that. We were able to go to other (more sheltered) coves and snorkel on the swell days. The swell calmed down after 2 days and we swam at our beach! We all enjoyed the pool on the property too - it's simple but functional. We'll definitely be back!

Stunning Ocean & Island Views, Turtle-Watching, VERY Relaxing Experience - best in Maui!

We stayed for 7-nights in this gorgeous 2-story condo and absolutely loved every minute. This is our family's 3rd trip to Maui and by far, our favorite because our place was so nice to come "home" too after our daily excursions. The complex has private beach access, clean & well-kept grounds, friendly energy, lovely pool, a luscious garden full of green lizards, and an overall wonderful vibe. Sunsets are AMAZING here and Sunrises equally stunning and calming. Also, the experience of looking down onto the giant turtles is absolutely mesmorizing. We snorkled right off the beach and were able to rinse off our gear and sun gaze right there, we never wanted to leave! The interior of the condo is well-maintained, CLEAN with great furniture, comfortable beds. Air-conditioners worked GREAT and each room has a fan to keep the coolness circulating. The extended lanai shades are extra nice when it heats up pre-sunset. Plenty of modern and nice kitchen utensils to cook with and there is a community grill that was maintained by the groundskeeper crew. We had such a great time and look forward to returning soon!

Wonderful!

I have been to Maui many times and have stayed at Kahana Sunset quite a bit. It's still one of my favorite vacation spots. Although, we had a glitch on our arrival day, things were resolved quickly, and we carried on with our 2-week trip. Lynn's condo has intrigued me for many years, and I was so excited to finally stay here. It did not disappoint! The first thing you see when you walk in is the unobstructed, magnificent view through the front sliding glass doors, it was like you were floating over the water! After I got over that, I noticed how nicely decorated, clean and well equipped the condo was. It had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable, and we really appreciated the shades and retractable awning over the lanai, especially as the day wore on and the sun heated things up. It was also nice to have AC units not only in the living room but the 2 bedrooms as well. The kitchen was well equipped, so we didn't need to supplement with anything.Something to make note of, is the beach is really no longer there, at least not for lounging on the sand, but the grassy area above is really nice and has lounge chairs. We swam and snorkeled in the bay but only when the tide was out. There are great swimming and snorkeling beaches close by though. There's a grocery store a moment away and the Napili Farmers Market was great for fresh produce and crafts. This is a special place, and we hope to be back sometime soon. Mahalo!

Lovely stay!

Beautiful condo, with the most amazing views! Condo itself was perfect size for our family of four and very clean.The pool was a hit with the kids, but unfortunately the swell was very high during our stay and limited swimming off the beach. Enjoyed discovering new beaches as this was our first time staying on this side of Maui.Kahana Sunset is a small complex, quiet and very well taken care of by staff!We did notice however that it was frequented by an older crowd and not as family friendly as we’d hoped. Did not put a damper on our trip tho!

Fantastic stay in an absolutely beautiful and magical spot in Maui. First time visitors to the island and found this property to be everything it was advertised to be. When they say on the beach, it is really on top the beach. Would stay here again.

Oceanfront getaway.

Family visit for Anniversary. Enjoyed the property very much. Very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for a great time. The view from the deck was amazing!!. Lots of Sunsets, Turtle watching, and swimming in our very own bay. Lynn the owner was great and even hooked us up with a great dinner reservation for our Anniversary. Will definitely be back.

Kahana Sunset

Lynn was a delight to work with. She was very responsive. We were provided with pages of her favorite restaurants and descriptions of the food and estimated prices. Also included were many activities. It's a spectacular location and the only one on the complex that extends over the water. It's wrap-around balconies are so great. We watched turtles each day in our bay and could see pods of whales towards Molokai breaching and blowing spouts. The grounds have banana, papaya and guava trees and the produce is shared with renters when in season. Also lots of flowering tropical plants. We never saw the beach as low as is pictured. Probably due to weather in other parts of the world. That didn't stop renters from swimming however. Being over the water I really enjoyed watching the waves come in and crash against the sea wall, sometimes even splashing up on the lower deck. My husband and I are 80 and 88, though 'young' old folks. I don't remember any comments in the description that there are lots of stairs. From the parking lot to the unit, and from the unit to the pool and beach. It was good exercise for us. The unit is in a great location on the island. It is a beautiful and restful condo. You will enjoy your time there.

Best Location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The proximity to the basically "private" beach is unmatched! It is such a unique property. Everything was just as described and we enjoyed the surrounding area restaurants and beaches. We loved every minute!

Beautiful spot and convenient

What a wonderful location. It was so nice watching the whales breach and turtles swim in the bay. Rooms were comfortable and it's a perfect setup for a family of four. Views are spectacular and the location is ideal for this side of the island.

The View!

This is a very peaceful, quiet, serene location. Family + retiree friendly, this is the perfect scene to decompress and breathe. We watched Sea Turtles from the balcony every day, they swim in the bay at all times. Lynn (the owner) is friendly and responsive. All good!

So great. Best view on the island. The only bummer was what I thought was a hot tub isn’t a hot tub. Otherwise perfect. The sea turtles are amazing!

Good location

We had a nice stay. Great location. The place had some definite problems. The Lanaii (balcony) in the living room is not what shows in the video. The whole corner of the balcony is blocked of because the deck is compromised. The patio area below the unit is blocked off with the inability to sit there and use the barbecues. There is erosion serious enough to prevent standing on the deck. The upper bathroom sink need ti be unstopped and the plunger repaired. The water refused to drain. The back bedroom shower had blond hair stuck in the walls. We had ti clean the showers. They were not properly cleaned. The shower flooring was slimy. The screen in the upper bedroom was torn. A handyman had to be called to tighten all the Rowell rack. One fell off the wall and hit my wifes foot. Given all that we still had a good time. The unit had excellent air conditioning and was comfortable enough. The views over the water were beautiful.

Yet Another Great Stay!

This is the second time we have rented this unit and it’s terrific! It’s clean, comfortable and the views are to die for. It’s so nice to wake up and enjoy our coffee with turtles swimming below us and whales off in the distance. Such a relaxing week!

Disappointed and misleading photos

If you are considering choosing this condo because of the beach, beach access or the condition of the water - BEWARE - it MAY NOT be as depicted in the owner's photos. We chose this unit because of the beach, beach access and condition of the water only to find out when we arrived on Oct 6 that there wasn't a beach as depicted. We complained to the owner only to be told that she was "sorry Mother Nature showed up" when we arrived. We talked to locals and renters and they confirmed that the beach has been in a state of severe erosion for some time. The front row of condos in the photo on the beach have been deemed uninsurable and are scheduled for demolition. This did not happen on the day we arrived. We spent 8 days there and the conditions never improved. No one could even walk on the beach due to high surf/waves. We had no choice but to drive to a nearby beach since there was not one on the property or nearby. The unit itself is very nice, clean, fully appointed, comfortable beds, etc. But we didn't choose this unit to just sit by the pool or on the deck and listen to the pounding surf. Also, the wrap around balcony is not accessible all the way around as shown in pictures. The corner of the balcony appeared to be structurally unsound and not just a simple repair that they are waiting on a repairman to fix. It is tastefully blocked off but is another example of the erosion and damage that the complex is experiencing Lynn was nice enough to give us a credit to use for a lovely dinner. But for the amount of money we spent to stay there it didn't take away the disappointment of our stay. We feel that the photos on VRBO of the beach and beach access and water condition are very misleading and should be removed.

Our family has been coming to Maui for over25 years but it wasn't until 19 years ago that we discovered this beautiful paradise at Kahana Sunset. We have two sons now 22 who have been coming with us since they were 3 yrs old. We all enjoy the water, snorkeling, and sunbathing with a book after a game of golf. We purchased this incredibly unique condo just 13 years go which was a dream come true for us with it's unbelievable beach & water location. There really is no place like this anywhere!! And that is what everyone says when they walk through the door. We now live in Maui(another dream come true) in a home near by and still say wow! when we stay at our condo.

Panaramic view of Molokai and Lanai and about 25 footsteps to the sandy beach. This 2-story unit ,with no one above or below you, location is ideal for those who seek serene paradise with an almost private beautiful beach. End-Corner Unit w/Privacy. Corner wraparound deck off Living room and also upstairs Master Bdrm als windows over the beach and the ocean . Snorkel and swim right out the door. There are Bar-B-Q's just down our steps and there is no better view for dining or watching turtles than your own private lanai. You will not want to leave! Great for couples or Families.

Unbelievable location and watching the beautiful sunsets and sea turtles / whales from our balcony/lanai...& the spectacular view of Molokai and Lanai from the Living room, kitchen while cooking & Master bedroom. Also Just 1 mile north in Kapalua are some of the islands best restaurants ie. Merrimans, Cane and Canoe,Plantation House and Sansei for sushi. For more casual fare is the Honolua Store and the islands best breakfast at the Seahouse Restarant on Napili Beach at the Napili Kai Resort or the famous Gazebo. A grocery store is just 1/4 mile up the road in Napili Plaza with take out restaurants and our new Beach Bums Restaurant. Shopping available at Whalers Village in Kaanapali about 5 minutes away. You will want for nothing!
