Kick back, unwind and reconnect at our quiet vintage cottage with amazing riverfront views. Our cottage has all the nostalgia and simplicity of vacations of your youth and with the river right in the backyard, there's never a shortage of views and activities. Enjoy a day SUPing, kayaking, or swimming. Rinse off in our outdoor shower and finish off the day with bocce or cornhole and a drink on the porch listening to a record from our vinyl collection or reading a book from our library.

Overall, the cottage was a great stay for us. We came down from Pittsburgh for Family Weekend at ECU and it was well worth it. The location made it very easy to drive to and from campus. The view of the river in the morning was incredible, and the fishing was great (we're big fishing people, so if you're into that sort of thing, would definitely recommend this cottage). The hosts were easy going, and easy to communicate with. We didn't need much, but when we had questions, they were quick to answer them.We would definitely consider renting this place again, even for a week long vacation.

No unpleasant surprises, instead a lovely unusual home in a quiet waterfront neighborhood of the Pamlico River that was a short drive to downtown Washington.

we had a great time. Amenities were good. The house is definiately "older" but the pictures accutately represent so we knew that going in. We would stay again!

Great long weekend on the Pamlico!

Family from Europe joined us for our daughter’s wedding and thoroughly enjoyed their time in this cottage! Beautiful view, fun cottage and lots of activities! Enjoyed the kayak and the kids swings as well as the Adirondack chairs and the hammock on the sprawling back deck! Highly recommend for folks who want to truly experience a weekend on the river!!

Awesome beach house.

Gorgeous place with excellent views. It’s spacious and a great beach house. Check in was easy. The place gets four stars as it could be better prepared for our stay. The coffee pot, still dirty from last guest, dirty towel in outdoor shower. There were a lot of ants. Our group loved our stay. And it does have a nice outdoor shower!

Beautiful Getaway

We came in town for a family reunion, and wanted to have a view of the river. This cottage was very nice. My family and I enjoyed the stay and especially enjoyed the view of the river. When we come into town for next years reunion; we will most likely stay here! The host was very responsive and accommodating. We appreciate him very much! Overall a 5 out of 5! It was a lovely stay! S

Classic River House

My wife and I enjoyed three gorgeous days at this home. The breeze coming off the water under the porch was priceless. This is a classic old house with knickknacks and things from days gone by. If you desire, modern and upscale, this is not a house for you. If you enjoy classic… You’re gonna love this place. So many wonderful things about this house… A view from every room and every point in the house. Huge screen porch. The house was also spotless… Well cleaned and ready for us. The owner is a wonderful person and very flexible.

Peace on the Pamlico

I needed a break. My family did as well. We didn’t require noise, a theme park, busy city streets, or hot beaches. We needed to breathe. We needed cool breezes from distant thunderstorms. We needed to watch a moonrise and a soaring Osprey flying overhead. We also needed space, and a place to stretch out and enjoy some well earned solitude. All our needs were met by this Vintage Riverfront Cottage. Thank you!
