A few years ago I fell in love with Smith Lake, Alabama. I purchased some land and worked with a builder: I started construction in June 2021 and with pandemic delays, it was completed in February 2022. This was my first construction project, but I was able to complete tasks like insulating the walls, building my cabinets, adding hardware and painting. Lots of thought was put into every decision, so I hope you enjoy my place (and ignore the mistakes)!
I currently work out of state, so although I try and come home as much as possible, I have decided to put my house to rent to help cover costs from basically living in two states. I do live here, so you will find personal belongings throughout. Also, since I live here, there is a ring doorbell camera in the front of the house.

I built my place for me, with the opportunity for guests to visit and have their own space. I say this to provide perspective that the master bedroom is plenty for two, and the guest room is better suited for two even though it can fit up to four.
There are over 100 steps down to the water, so although there are a couple of resting places, I highly recommend that you consider this before booking. Due to the very steep hill behind my house, I ask that if there are children, they are at least teenagers.
