We listed this house as a three-bedroom however, the loft creates a 4th bedroom that is very comfortable.

The cabin itself was fine, but the experience was very disappointing. One of the main reasons we booked this place was because it advertised a golf cart, which is important since the neighborhood is designed around them. When we arrived, the golf cart didn’t work at all. I had to scramble to rent one in town for 500 out of pocket. I spoke to the owner directly and he assured me he would reimburse me for the expense, but he never followed through. Ironically, the same person I rented from ended up coming by to haul away the host’s broken cart for repairs. Overall, the lack of transparency and failure to make this right left a bad taste, and I wouldn’t recommend this rental or the company that runs it.

Mecasa Great Weekend Getaway

We stayed at 701 S. Lakeshore Rd, Port Sanilac Mi. This is a great place for families to meet up and play and visit! Private Beach on Lake Huron! We had a great time here and had a great visit with our family! The house is right on the water, boasting lots of room to sit with comfy furniture and a large dining table overlooking Lake Huron. Even if the weather is bad, there is plenty of room to visit and play games inside, or just relax in your own space! The Hot tub was clean and ready to go when we arrived and the house was clean and tidy as well!

Girl's weekend getaway

We enjoyed the property, there was enough room for all of us to stay comfortably. The golf cart was a big plus - it was a fun way to get down to the water.

Every summer my friends and I go on a little get away. This house was pefect! It was quite, clean and roomy! The beach was beautiful! We loved exploring the town! Overall a wonderful trip!

We have stayed at properties in Lexington for many years. While this one was further from the beach than some the amenities pushed it over the top. We had a great time. Thank you!

Summer get away

Overall would give this 4 out of 5 stars. I think what sets apart a 4/5 and 5/5 star property is the attention to detail. Although not required would have appreciated having shampoo and soap for showering as well as access to beach towels. Again not required but basic cooking condiments (ie cooking spray, olive oil, mustard, ketchup etc) would have been helpful as well. Also the listing states it’s 4 bedrooms and really it’s 3 bedrooms with a loft area in the primary bedroom so felt like that was a little misleading. Listing also did not provide pictures of the beach area which was on the main reasons we chose this property. Beach area was fine but some areas were definitely more rocky than others. We did not have any issues with the golf cart thankfully. The house is 1/2 mile away from the beach as an FYI. My kids definitely enjoyed the arcade. Hot tub was good enough but the water jets were not very strong. Overall I’d give the property a 4/5. We enjoyed our stay and had a nice time. No negative issues but again missing the small details that sets apart a 5 star property from a 4 star.

Cute Cottage blocks from beach

Very cute little cottage that was clean and comfortable! Had a few hiccups with things when we first got there but called the phone number they provided and they sent Rick who went above and beyond to fix things for us!! Had a great time using the golf cart they provided to meet some of the neighbors who were very friendly and welcoming! Beach area is broken up in private little sections and we were able to get one all to ourselves. Just for an FYI you do have to go down a couple flights of stairs to get to the beach are so if you are disabled in any way this might not be the place for you. The hot tub was clean but it was a little too hot outside to use it much. House is very well stocked and the grill they provided is brand new thanks again to Rick! I would definitely recommend staying here for a nice beach getaway!!

What a gem!

We had such an amazing time at this property. Welcoming home feeling with a bit of a cabin feel as well. The gulf cart was fun and the hot tub was very clean and relaxing. The single negative was the stained mattress in the room closest to the bathroom. Jessie was very responsive to every question i presented. Overall, the home was very clean and as described. It was exactly what we needed for our weekend get away. Thank you! We will definitely be back!

Vacation with the family. Our children and grandchildren loved taking golf cart rides. Playing the arcade game. A dip in the hot tub at nite was great. Cant wait to come back in a couple of months

Great spot for girls getaway

Lots of space for 4 friends to binge Netflix , play games , cook great meals and relax. Nice neighbourhood - short walk to the water. If you stay here in October , be sure to walk around the block to see the neighbours Halloween display . It’s amazing! As a frequent cottage renter, I would suggest a few items be added. Hair dryer, Kerig coffee machine, and a nicer bbq would help to make this a more luxurious home away from home

Nice quiet place

Easy to get to, good communication. The golf cart was fun, hot tub was ok, very strong on the chlorine. It was hot and jets worked. Place was clean, the arcade system is fun. Couple negatives were the laundry room/one of the bedrooms had an extremely strong odor, maybe the detergent or Bleach. We kept the door shut. The bed in the wooden room (master) was very uncomfortable, a "sinker" time for a new one. Not a huge deal but lastly no door or shower curtain ( the shower is huge and nicely finished). Overall 7/10 I'd say.

End of summer getaway.

Had a great experience here. Loved utilizing the golf cart to explore various beaches up and down the shoreline, and winding down in thd jacuzzi after dinner in town. The full kitchen made the meals we ate at this home away from home a breeze. Ample clean linens and soft, luxurious comforters made for a cozy evening on the couch that was much needed after hectic city life. The vintage, stand up arcade game had multigame capability, featuring a ton of games we grew up with. Highly recommend!

Property not accurately listed

We arrived in town a couple hours early so stopped by the property to see if we could check in early or at least drop off luggage. Unfortunately for us we interrupted the cleaning people that, at that time where definitely not cleaning. It was a bit uncomfortable so we left. We returned back at check in time upon entering the property there was a very distinct smell of bleach. This is also when we discovered that the property wasn’t as listed. At the time we booked it was listed as a 4 bdrm 2 bath, when in reality it’s a 3 bdrm 1 bath. The 4th “bdrm” is a loft in which you have to go through the master bdrm to access, which means no privacy for the master bdrm or the loft. We contacted the property manager and we’re told we’ll look into it. Another issue was the golf cart.This area is a golf cart community and that’s how many people get around, except us. The cart made it roughly 50 feet and stopped. We reached out to the property manager and we’re told that someone would come and fix. Well apparently all they did was push it back into the garage as it didn’t work our entire stay. In checking it out myself the battery connections were corroded with empty cells. We should’ve realized that as previous reviews also commented on the cart. Yet another issue was the hot tub, upon opening the cover the smell of chemicals was so strong that we dared not use. One other minor issue was the wood for the fire pit was all big pieces with no kindling wood, so kind of hard to start a fire.

Middle of the road stay

Our stay at this property was fine. The owners excelled in communication. We weren’t able to use the golf cart or grill during our stay- neither were in working order. The hot tub was nice. The kitchen does have ample counter space, which is also nice. The bedrooms are tight when trying to fit luggage. We noticed when stripping the linens from the beds that the mattresses were dirty and stained. We’d recommend applying mattress protectors for the preservation of the mattresses and cleanliness for guests. Overall, our stay was okay.

Family quick get away

The property was perfect, and great location. Unfortunately the hot tub was dirty, so we couldn’t use it the first day. They did come out to clean it the next day, but only half the jets worked. The bathroom had a horrendous smell of cat urine. We had to keep the door closed.

Don't forget anything

Location was great, hot tub was nice, home had basically everything you needed and the arcade was fun. The bedframe was very messed up we dropped something under the bed and noticed it was being supported by 4x4 wood blocks and taking away from the initial support (2 points of contact instead of 10) a minor thing is we also left behind a curling iron and noticed when we were 40 minutes away and we had asked about it and they never really followed up with it. So I guess your next stay will include a 1-1/4" barrel curling iron. The golf cart also died on us while we were on a peaceful sunset ride.
