The Harvey House, a newly updated home, provides guests a cozy, fun place to unwind. Located on a large corner lot, guests have access to a huge backyard AND gaming shed with a lovely deck. Cuddle up next to the fireplace or hang out and play Pac-Man, this bonus space was designed with comfort & fun in mind. Locals love the short drive to the Riverfront, 18 min from the Philadelphia Airport, a few minutes from Uncle John’s BBQ, Charlie’s pizza, I95 & 495!

The Harvey House is on point

Great little cottage near Wilmington and U of Delaware. Beautifully decorated, super-comfy beds, zero wasted space, awesome “shed shed.” Enthusiastically recommended.

Nice place but very noisy

Pros 1. Very gracious and responsive host 2. The host took it upon himself to get me a drip coffee pot and an icemaker. 3. The bathroom was perfect, the shower head was really nice, nice thick towels, well-placed towel rack, even a bidet toilet seat. 4. Bed was super comfortable 5. Kitchen was small but very well equipped 6. the bedrooms both had a chest of drawers Cons 1. the road noise made it difficult for sleeping although I did manage to get a good night sleep some nights. 2. Having to park on the street was kind of a nuisance 3. If your business or personal activities are in the Philadelphia suburbs the drive was long and often heavy traffic

The Harvey House

Beautiful interior design and amenities. Came to the state for the first time and enjoyed ourselves. The She Shed was a great addition to the experience. There was no hot tub as described so that should be removed from the description. I would definitely recommend this home.

Great rental! 😃

My family and I stayed here while we visited our east coast family. It was nicely decorated and very clean. We felt very comfortable here and loved taking walks in the beautiful neighborhood. My kids loved the she shed! There was a lot of traffic on the main road but by the second night we slept great! Overall, we had a great experience! Highly recommend!

Delaware's Home Away From Home

We LOVED our stay here! It's welcoming and charming. There is a relaxing backyard and a quaint shed to relax or pass the time. Everything you need is available. The bedrooms are close to a major street but the street noise didn't bother us. Earplugs are provided if that is a hindrance. Communication with the owner was very prompt and accomodating. 5 stars from our family! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had four adults and a 1 year old child. We stayed for one week. The house was perfectly located, 2 streets from I-95 and on a great connecting road. You could go anywhere quickly. The house was completely renovated and charming in every way. The owner, Shareef, is a very nice man obsessed with making our stay pleasant and comfortable. The house had everything we could need and more. We loved our stay here and would certainly stay again if and when we go back to the area. Lots to see and do both in Wilmington and Philadelphia which is very close by to the north. Choose this place with confidence. You will love it.😉

Lovely home close to Philadelphia and DC

My son and I came to Philadelphia for a wedding and to see the historical sites: Indpendence Hall, Liberty Bell, etc. This lovely home in DE was about 20 minutes from downtown Philadelphia, 15 minutes from the airport and within 2 hours of Washington DC and Gettysburg. The home was spacious and comfortable. Clean and well-kept. The host was great at communicating and friendly. I loved the parking right by the home and easy access to the highway, grocery shopping, and DoorDash found us easily! We would definitely stay here again when we were back in the area. There were only 2 of us on this trip, but we could have accommodated our family of 4 easily.

This was by far the nicest rental we have had. The interior was beautiful. It had a huge backyard for the dog. The bed was very comfortable. It is on a busy road but I didn’t notice until the morning. They do provide earplugs which was nice. We would stay there again if we ever return to Deleware.

Perfect location; hidden gem

I grew up in this area so knew to expect an older house. The inside however is clearly a new total renovation! Immaculate, tastefully decorated and not cluttered, new appliances, thoughtful details like outlet protectors and child locks on lower cabinets plus dimmer switches on most lights. It was the perfect size for us, great location for seeing the family we came to visit, and the fully fenced back yard was a huge plus for our dogs.

Great Stay

We chose this house because it was close to our daughter’s college. We brought our dog and the fenced in back yard was great for her to run around. Our teenagers loved that there was corn hole available and pac man too. The house was clean and had everything we needed!! Owner was very responsive when we arrived and had a couple quick questions. Great Stay!!

Seeing is believing! Convenient to UD.

We had a fantastic stay at Harvey House. Shareef is the Host with the Most! No detail for a comfortable stay was overlooked. The house has all the upgrades and was very spacious for me, my husband and 22 yr old son, who we were moving to Univ of Delaware for grad school. We felt very safe in the area with a packed truck. This location is an easy drive to UD so would highly recommend if coming to visit UD. Also a short drive into Philly for sightseeing. We had such a good time relaxing on the deck between challenging each other to PacMan in the mini Cottage! We are already planning a return trip!

Quaint, Cozy, Clean & Relaxing Home

We had a very chill and relaxing stay. The hose was clean, comfy, nicely decorated with cozy decor and many ameneties for our stay. The large fenced in backyard was very nice and a tranquil and peaceful environment. I will likley be booking in the future.

Loved Harvey House!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Harvey House, which had all the comforts of home, plus some! The property is in a pleasant and peaceful neighborhood with easy access to Philly and local restaurants and shops. There is a busy road in front of the house, but the traffic never bothered us. Parking inside the back gate was a little tricky, but we didn’t have a problem after we figured out the gate. The house was easy to access and there were many special touches (all the standard TV streaming services, extra toiletries and the fun “she-shed”). My husband most enjoyed morning coffee (Keurig) on the patio. And I slept so well in the huge comfy bed, better than at home! We highly recommend the Harvey House as well as Shareef, who was very helpful and responsive to all of our questions. Thank you for a great stay!

Lovely home

Very clean! Comfortable mattresses, high quality bed sheets and towels. Kitchen, dining area, bathroom - everything is just perfect! Quiet neighborhood. Close to Longwood gardens and Philadelphia. Highly recommend.

Lovely home & friendly service

After hours of driving with my niece and two dogs, it was such a pleasure to enter this home. Everything was sparkling clean, smelled fresh and was as represented in the pictures...just adorable! The owner was there when we arrived and couldn't have been nicer. It was great to just let the dogs off leash to run in the fenced yard while we had some refreshments on the backyard deck. The neighborhood was perfect for the morning walks with the pups too. Everything we needed was there including earplugs (i sleep light and there was a little road noise), soaps, games, dishes, laundry, etc. I would recommend and stay again. Thank you Sareef!
