The Moose, Stylish Farmhouse Cabin near Yosemite, Sleeps 8

Farmhouse Modern meets Rustic Contemporary for a Gold Rush Era nostalgic vibe! Relax and enjoy with the whole family at this peaceful cabin. The Moose is a stylish 3 bed/1.5 bath cabin set in the woods just 30 minutes drive to Yosemite National Park - Big Oak Flat Entrance. This cozy cabin is the prefect place to enjoy a quiet retreat and enjoy day trips into Yosemite. Enjoy the many amenities of Pine Mountain Lake which include, Golf, Fishing, Boating, Swimming, Tennis, & Horse Back Riding.

This cabin has a large modern kitchen with vaulted ceilings, picture windows, and a breakfast island with ample dining space. There`s a large dining table with seating for eight people to enjoy a family meal together. Sip your morning coffee and watch deer, wild turkeys, birds, and other wildlife wander through the property. The kitchen is fully equipped and all the amenities you could possibly need are included!

The living room has comfortable seating and a gas fireplace to keep you cozy and warm. The living room slider door opens up the the outside deck area where you are surrounded by trees. It`s the perfect place to hang out and BBQ during the day and into the evening.

There`s a rustic bedroom located downstairs with knotty pine floors and ceilings and a slider door that offers abundant natural light. Both of the bathrooms are also located downstairs.

The upstairs consists of two cozy bedrooms in the A-Frame portion of the house. Knotty Pine floors, ceilings and open wood beams throughout for that rustic cabin feeling. There are skylights located above the beds for star gazing at night and and waking up with the trees in the morning. One of these bedrooms is a loft-style room.

The property comfortably sleeps 6 people, utilizing the three queen beds, and can sleep up to 8 people utilizing the twin bed and the floor mattress upstairs. The cabin is located on a half acre lot with trees all around. The lower portion of the lot opens up into a clear area perfect star gazing at night or exploring during the day. There is a horse shoe pit located in the yard under the trees. Almost every day you will see deer, wild turkeys and other wildlife walking through the property.

Pine Mountain Lake is located in the gold rush town of Groveland, CA. This is a great town to explore and enjoy the local shops and restaurants. Our guests can enjoy the many amenities of Pine Mountain Lake which include, Golf, Fishing, Boating, Swimming. Tennis, Pickle Ball, Horse Back Riding and much more. Visit Pine Mountain Lakes Country Club featuring `The Grill Restaurant` for fine dining. At the 3000 foot elevation level of the Sierra Nevada foothills we enjoy a climate that is just about ideal. Winter temperatures are on a par with San Francisco and summer days are warm for the enjoyment of the outdoors and water sports, but at night the wind blows down from the mountains providing Mother Nature`s air conditioning. Sleep with the windows open at night in the quiet solitude of a sparsely populated area. No Street lights to mar your view of the heavens, and yes, there really is a Milky Way!

*Please Note: Guests may be charged a $46 (as of 2024) parking fee by the PML staff at the main gate. This charge is sometimes seasonal and we have no control over if it is charged or not.

Guests have full access to the property. Our property is located within the Pine Mountain Lake gated community. All guests must enter through the Main Gate of the community which is on Pine Mountain Drive off of Ferretti Rd. There are 3-4 off-street parking spots at our property depending on how big your cars are (room for 4 midsize cars or 2-3 larger trucks). All cars must be parked in the driveway, there`s no street parking.

During your stay, enjoy all that Pine Mountain Lake has to offer- swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, bicycling, tennis & pickleball, stables, gun range, camp grounds, and terrific 18-hole championship golf course. Visit Pine Mountain Lakes Country Club featuring `The Grill Restaurant` for fine dining.

Guest interaction with host is primarily through the Vrbo app. Guests can also call or text us if needed.

Having your own car is definitely the best way to get around the area and take day trips into Yosemite. There are 3-4 off-street parking spots at our property depending on how big your cars are (room for 4 midsize cars or 2-3 larger trucks). All cars must be parked in the driveway, there`s no street parking.

*We have a strict Cancellation policy. Please consider 3rd Party Travel Insurance to safeguard your travels if there is a chance for your need to alter or cancel your travels.

*Pets are not allowed at the property. If you are traveling with a dog or some other pet please contact us to discuss before booking.
*No open flame camp fires. The Pine Mountain Lake Association has banned all outdoor fires.
*We strongly recommend that all of our guests obtain Travel Insurance to cover unforeseen incidents that might prevent you from traveling during your scheduled dates. We cannot provide refunds that fall outside of our cancelation policy period.
*The property is being leased and operated (Hosted) by Capri by the Sea, LLC. Guests are permitted to use the property starting at 3 PM on the first day of their stay until 11 AM on the last day of their stay for all confirmed reservations that have been paid in full. Guests do not have any rights to the property as `tenants` as described by CA law. By booking this property guests agree to these terms.
*Guests must pay a $46 (as of 2024) `guest access fee` per each vehicle at the PML Front Gate upon arriving. This fee is charged by the Pine Mountain Lake HOA, not the host. More details are given in our arrival details message after booking.
