REQUIRED COUNTY STR PERMIT INFORMATION
Placer County | STR22-7460 | Max Occupancy is 12 | 4 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. Placer County's Good Neighbor Policies
The Eagle's Nest is an upscale, professionally decorated Big Springs home with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and a private outdoor hot tub. Ideal for a gathering of friends and family, with soaring cathedral ceilings throughout, a giant wood-burning fireplace fashioned from huge granite stones, a baby grand piano, a pool table and light streaming in through abundant windows. You will be greeted by beautiful slate floors, original oil paintings, wool rugs and fine leather furniture in the common areas. Enjoy the silence and comfort of hydronic radiant heating throughout, plus high speed cable internet wi-fi. If you're visiting in the summer, you'll enjoy the central air conditioning, a very rare feature in this region. Tahoe and Alpine artwork complement the mountain style architecture.
The chef’s kitchen features granite countertops, a Viking 6-burner cooktop, stainless steel fridge, freezer, microwave oven, Dakor conventional oven and convection oven and dual sinks. Three coffee makers help you get just what you want in the morning: Keurig maker, traditional Cuisinart coffee maker, and a Nespresso machine. The great room has a 65" 4k UHD TV with theater sound. Elsewhere on the main floor, a billiards table is accompanied by a wet bar. The dining room table seats 12 and the breakfast bar seats an additional six. The garage has room for two cars and a 240V receptacle for your electric vehicle.
Bedrooms each have their own private bathroom en suite and feature European goose down pillows, top quality mattresses, high thread count bedding, bathrobes and Turkish cotton towels to make you comfortable. The primary suite features a king bed, gas fireplace, balcony, jetted spa tub and standing shower. The 2nd bedroom features a queen bed and private bathroom. The 3rd bedroom has a king bed and private bathroom. The 4th bedroom has three bunk beds (to sleep 6) plus a bathroom. The 5th bedroom has a queen bed and private bathroom with blackout shades on all windows. The upstairs common area has a queen sized sleeper sofa that is remarkably comfortable and firm and 89" in length - not your usual flimsy, terrible fold out couch where your feet hang off the end. Three bathrooms have hair dryers.
Situated on half of an acre on a private cul-de-sac in the prestigious Big Springs neighborhood above the Village, Eagle's Nest is a 10-minute walk (or a one minute drive) to the Timberline chair lift. The property features a grass backyard and natural forest and backs up to the Tompkins Memorial hiking trail. The Northstar shuttle service will pick up your group at the end of the driveway (simply request on the app and the shuttle usually arrives within minutes) and take you to the Village or recreation center. The recreation center, available to guests for a fee, offers multiple swimming pools, a huge hot tub, a gym and, in the summer, tennis courts. The Northstar Village offers several great restaurants and bars, an ice-skating / roller-skating rink, a movie theater and plenty of shopping. From The Eagle's Nest, you may walk / hike down to the Village in less than ten minutes on hiking paths and a natural stone stairway maintained by Northstar.

Parking on the street is strictly prohibited at all times. RVs, campers and boat trailers are prohibited by the Northstar HOA. (NPOA)
The NPOA Recreation Center provides guests with access to three pools (lap pool open year round), two hot tubs, dry saunas, fitness facility, tennis courts, summer camps and clinics, basketball, kids' playground, massages and summer activities for daily guest fee. Free shuttles operate between Northstar homes and the Village center.
The Village at Northstar offers dining, entertainment, spa services, and shopping options with numerous restaurants and shops, a movie theater, ice skating/roller skating rink, and more. Please note that during the Spring and Fall seasons, when Northstar's winter and summer mountain operations are closed, the Village restaurants and retail outlets run on a modified schedule. Expect limited dining and shopping options during these periods - typically between the end of ski season through late June and after Labor Day through mid-November.

County Rules
Each county requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to your home's Short Term Rental Permit. We thank you in advance for abiding by the rules below, also included in your signed in the Vacation Rental Agreement.
Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week, Noise carries easier and further in higher elevations and over water. Per the ordinance: No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.
Lights Out: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.
Red Flag Warnings: Due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited. On Red Flag Warning Days, when fire hazards are especially dangerous, typically due to dry conditions and high winds, additional restrictions are imposed by the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and prohibited. You cannot use outdoor gas grills or gas fire pits during Red Flag Warnings. All outdoor fires are prohibited, both gas and wood. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.
Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP here: https://bit.ly/3IKiY7n
Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.
Office Holiday Hours
The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.
A 3.8% credit card fee will be added to the total amount due, (excluding the service fee charged by Vrbo), if a credit card is used for payment with TLUXP. This is not reflected in the quote by Vrbo.
