You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located home in the NC mountains. Minutes from Main Street in Blowing Rock as well as 15-20 minutes from the heart of Boone or Lenoir, this home puts you right in the middle of endless options to explore restaurants, bars, shopping, hiking, and family friendly attractions! This home offers amazing mountain views and allows you to enjoy a family and dog friendly escape.

So close to Rolling Rock and to Boone which are both great towns for eating and for shopping. Locals are most friendly and dog welcoming! Grandfather Mtn was most grand, but windy and cold. Only stayed a week, but so many places along Parkway to take in next year. Our place was clean and tv viewing from couches was cozy after a day of being out and about. Yes, highway is bit noisy, but weather in November is not best for sitting out on deck, plus taking in sights kept us away from home. Neighborhood was quiet and scenery nice.
Sunset was lovely.

Fun visit

We enjoyed our stay at the house over Easter weekend. The location was really great. Just short rides to Blowing Rock, Boone and Grandfather Mountain. The view was very nice and the house wasn't too far up a mountain. I liked that.All and all, a great stay.

Amazing Stay - Several Thoughtful Touches

We had a great experience here. The home was beautiful And there were several inclusions that made bringing our dog so much easier. Host was a great communicator making check-in easy. My whole family has suggested we stay here again!

Wonderful stay!

Beautiful house with a breathtaking view of the mountains (so much so that my kids insisted on having every meal on the deck to take it in). The place had everything we needed, great communication from the hosts, 5 stars, no complaints :)

Mountain getaway

This was such a lovely place! It was very convenient toBoone and Blowing Rock. The location and had amazing views. It is just off a major state road but was still quiet. Well stocked with games and decor is well appointed. Beds were very comfortable!

Perfect mountain vet away

We loved our stay. The home was well equipped and stocked with what we needed. It was very clean and had unbelievable Mountain View’s!!! It’s in close proximity to downtown blowing rock. I would definitely book with them again.

Beautiful property!

We have stayed at the property for 8 nights and did not want to leave!Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and has everything you need for you and you furry family member!And the VIEW from the porch is AMAZING! We enjoyed skiing Appalachian Ski mountain (10min away) and beautiful Cone Memorial park (15 min) with miles of beautiful trails and lakes.Would love to come back soon!

Enchanted weather

The minute we arrive it starts snowing. It was magical. The house is close to the road so made it easy to access in inclement weather. The home is warm and cozy with a view to die for. We love the many details they take care of. The playroom make it very easy for entertaint teens and kids. With an indoor garage that save us some time in the snowy mornings. We definitely love it!!!!!! Tge kitchen is very well equipped and everything works around the house perfect. I can't say any was wrong. We love it so much. Thank you for sharing your little paradise with us

Amazing views, clean and comfortable, all-around great place.

We travel a great deal - 5 mo this yr - and utilize many rentals. and this is one of the best ever. Attention to detail and responsiveness of host were exceptional. Amazing views, great location, comfortable bed - everything was above and beyond expectations. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this rental and highly recommend.

Fall trip

The house was beautiful- clean and I loved the layout. Kitchen had plenty of dishes. The location in proximity to blowing rock and Boone was great. Road is loud down below but the views are beautiful.

Noisy highway behind house

Nice home but noisy highway back of home Dont get quiet until around 10 pm. Also lawn maintenance came while i stayed there. The driveway was a little tough for motorcycles to leave from.

Fleas in Dog Bed in Master Bedroom

Everything was near-perfect about this place except for the member of our family who put clothes on top of the giant dog bed beside the bed in the master bedroom and ended up with flea bites. I hate to post anything negative as the house was otherwise spotless, with a very well-stocked kitchen, comfortable house -layout and seating.

Exactly as advertised

This home was perfect for my husband and I -- though there would have been plenty of space had our kids decided to join us. I have had some pretty bad experiences with a different vacation rental company whose locations were not as advertised, and so I switched to Vrbo and was delighted to find this location clean, well appointed, and exactly as advertised. Yes, the driveway is steep, but not at all difficult to navigate. Yes, the property overlooks an expressway, but at the time of year we visited, it did not detract from enjoying the space -- the foliage blocks the sound and you can't even see it from the deck. Morning walks along Falcon Ridge Road reflect beautifully appointed homes in a mountain retreat locale. The decor? Lovely. The kitchen is fun to cook in. Game room in lower level is a comfy hangout -- as is that beautiful deck. There are lots of little extras (from kitchen utensils to pet supplies to laundry detergents and electronics chargers) that make you feel the owners have thought this through. We look forward to returning next year and hope others enjoy their stays as well.

Ridgeline Retreat is a new property on the rental market and is ready to host you and your family, friends, and pets on your next trip to the High Country! This cozy home is conveniently nestled along 321 making it easily accessible (entirely paved, no hairpin turns) to endless options to explore restaurants, bars, shopping, hiking and family friendly attractions. This home is 8 minutes from Main Street Blowing Rock and 15-20 minutes from the heart of Boone or Lenoir. You will be centrally located to all the adventures the High Country has to offer.

Once inside you'll enjoy a comfortable environment full of warm, natural light. On the main floor you will find 2 bathrooms, all 3 bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen bed, and one with 2 twin xl beds, as well as an inviting living room which is open to the kitchen and dining table. If you travel out the back door you will encounter a large deck with rocking chairs, bar height railing, a small bistro set, and most importantly, INCREDIBLE mountain views. On the lower level of the home there is a large additional living space for you and your friends/family to enjoy. There you will find board games, puzzles, a game cube, and a dedicated working station perfect for any remote workers. The laundry is located in the adjacent garage. This home is equipped with high-speed internet and has 3 smart TVs.

Please note that as this home is located along a mountain ridge across from a large valley that winds may reach high levels seasonally. Please don’t leave items on the porch in the event winds pick up they may be blown away. The road noise will increase during winter months as leaves fall and no longer act as a barrier. Also note that in icy conditions if you are not comfortable parking in the driveway there is a parking pad at the top of the driveway and parking is also allowed on the street. Ice Melt and snow shovels are provided in the garage if needed.

If you decide to leave the mountain views to explore the towns, here are some of our favorite spots
• Favorite Restaurant: Speckled Trout. Our order usually consist of the trout nachos, chicken and dumpling soup, or blackened trout with mac & cheese and asparagus
• Favorite Drink: Hellbender for a spicy margarita
• Favorite Restaurant View: Wheelies Refresher (also great drink specials)
• Favorite Pizza: Piccolos
• Favorite Walk: Bass Lake Trail
• Favorite Workout: Run right out of the driveway to the end of Falcon Ridge Road, loop and run to the opposite end of Falcon Ridge road up the steep hill. Jog back to the garage for sets of sit ups, push ups and body weight squats. Finish with another Falcon Ridge lap.
• Decide to stay in, Piccolos delivers pizza when they have a driver (more likely than not). Doordash will deliver Chik-Fil-A, Outback, Tender Shack and occasionally a few others.
