Ubicada en la pequeña bahía de Paxanax en las tierras altas, debajo del pueblo de Santa Cruz La Laguna, nuestra villa ofrece tranquilidad e impresionantes vistas al lago de 3 volcanes centinelas insuperables.

• Espacio abierto con chimenea y cocina totalmente equipada con WIFI.
• 3 habitaciones dobles (1 con cama Queen, 2 con 2 camas individuales). 1 baño con bañera.
• Las escaleras exteriores lo llevan al dormitorio principal con vistas ininterrumpidas de la cima del árbol del lago y los volcanes..
• Una gran terraza delantera con hamaca y con vistas al lago que se utiliza como área de comida / recreación duplica el tamaño de la casa
• WIFI, una biblioteca de libros, DVD, pisos de madera, chimenea y vistas para morirse.
• Jardín frente al lago lleno de flores tropicales y árboles frutales.
• Un muelle privado disponible para tomar el sol o para nadar mucho tiempo.
• Limpieza incluida en el precio (si lo desea)
• Lancha (bote) público va y viene cada media hora u hora o déjenos organizar un bote privado
• disfruta del paraíso mientras te balanceas en la hamaca al ritmo de las olas.
• Los alimentos frescos se pueden comprar en Panajachel todos los días o en La Iguana Perdida en el mercado de agricultores frescos de su sábado.
• El lago de Atitlán ofrece una multitud de interesantes recorridos y actividades diarias por los pueblos mayas (consulte nuestro manual)
• Clases de yoga, masajes y otras terapias están disponibles cerca de Villa Sumaya.

Aunque el comentario de Aldous Huxley de que el lago Atitlán es el "lago más hermoso del mundo", sus palabras en realidad fueron: "Realmente es demasiado bueno". ¡Ven y juzga por ti mismo, estaremos encantados de recibirte!

Acceso de invitado
Le enviaremos un correo electrónico una semana antes de la llegada con un código para la caja de seguridad junto a la puerta principal donde guardamos la llave de la casa. Flor puede organizar su recogida para llevarlo a nuestra Villa. Tienes acceso a toda la casa. Mi casa, Tu Casa :)

Si está buscando una experiencia vacacional "diferente y auténtica", Casa Paxanax es su opción perfecta. Ubicado a orillas del famoso Lago de Atitlán. Santa Cruz es un auténtico pueblo maya, que se encuentra en la cima de la colina, desde donde se encuentra la casa. Siéntase libre y seguro para caminar. Si estás interesado en la cultura maya, ¡esto es imprescindible! Hay varios bares / restaurantes cercanos a poca distancia para conectarse con otros viajeros.

Moverse
En el pueblo, camine caminando a cualquiera de los restaurantes / bares o centros de retiro cercanos. Santa Cruz se encuentra a 15 minutos en barco de la ciudad principal de Panajachel, pero está cerca de varios bares y restaurantes para acceder fácilmente al entretenimiento y conocer a otros viajeros. De lo contrario, ¡siempre puedes tomar un bote a uno de los pueblos cercanos para explorar el lago!

Otras cosas a tener en cuenta
• La casa está ubicada a un corto viaje en bote desde Panajachel. Los barcos públicos salen todos los días, y salen cada media hora de 6 a.m. a 6:30 p.m. (el costo es de 10-15Q ($ 1. 50- $ 2. 00 por persona).
• También podemos organizar un barco privado para usted desde Pana, (cuesta alrededor de $ 25)
• Deberá estacionar su automóvil en Panajachel, en el muelle privado de Kayucos Marina. El costo es Q75 / noche.

I will definitely go back

"Philippa was great to work with and the place is like a "retreat". Very charming with amazing views. Well stocked kitchen for cooking and I would recommend getting a private boat to and from."

Beautiful spot with spectacular lake and volcano view. Fairly well equipped kitchen. 3 large bedrooms - one upstairs with beautiful morning sun. Easy transport with local boat driver, though a bit expensive. Very accommodating to our changes in schedule.

Beautiful house and location

This place was amazing! Casa Paxanax is right off the lake. It was big enough for our party of 5 and was big enough for a family member that visited us for the day. The view is amazing and the view on the top room was even better. I would definitely return to this house.

Great place, quiet, relax time, sad last night power goes down

This is a great place is maybe in the best place of the this area of the lake you can swin! If you don't mind some cool water, house is nice have everything you need but cable tv (anyway you don't need it). Pros: location, hot water, kitchen, chimney, people who works here (santos and cleaning lady) are really helpful, info book Cons: slow internet but a least we had it, pier is really a little high and if you have a lot of things is a little problem... santos help you out with you things, power goes down, we spend of last night and half of day with no power... sad Also I have to said that walking to Santacruz for me was so fun but is not for everybody really challenging, and maybe is worth it no many things to do there, stay on lake and have fun! Get all you need from pana or where you staying, reserve the boat you get a better price talk to santos or Paola... anyway I like the house maybe I come back

Thank you Cristian for your comments. The internet speed has been improved, and our dock has been lowered. I really appreciate your comments. It helps us to improve! The house is located about 10 minutes walk from Santa Cruz village. This is definitely not for those that enjoy living "in town". The electricity goes out rarely but I'm sorry you were affected by this. We are in a Mayan village, and although we strive for 1st class amenities, it is not always possible. We look forward to having you back!

Peaceful

We loved our stay here. It is a charming rustic cabin on the lake outside of Santa Cruz. Santos is so helpful and the managers are great communicators making everything go smoothly. There are a couple restaraunts in Paxanax and you can walk to Santa Crux, but asking Santos to help get a boat is the best way to get around. It is really worth getting away from the bustle of Panajachel or San Pedro. Nt he nights are generally peaceful and the morning coffee on the patio is a dream when the volcanoes and lake are at their best. We loved he service and getaway.

Simply great

I've rented other lakefront properties and our experience with this was outstanding. Communication with the staff and property owner was fast and easy, and they were always willing to help. Great views, cozy and well-equipped home. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a weekend with friends or family.

We spent 11 days at Casa Paxanax in January 2013. The things we loved about this place were the fantastic lake and volcano views, the garden area, the patio, the roomy kitchen/dining/living room space, the upstairs master bedroom with private balcony and a helpful caretaker. However, there are several things on this listing and in the owner’s information sheet that did not line up with what we found when we arrived. 1) The wireless internet is not "wireless" in the true sense of the word. You must have a USB port on your electronic device to access it. A tablet device without a port will not work. 2) There was no barbeque grill 3) There is an extra charge if you use the house power boat. This was mentioned, but it was in quetzales, which wouldn’t mean much to most people. We found it much cheaper to travel by the public lancha. 4) Because the level of lake has risen so much, much of the gardens are under water. Do not expect to supply your table with fresh fruit from the garden. 5) There seems to be some debate about the quality of the lake water and contamination. We did not swim or get in the water, not wanting to become sick at this point in our travels. Thus swimming, snorkeling, and the rest of the water sport activities became null and void. 6) Many of the activities listed are not available at the house or in the bay, but at other locations around the lake. The VRBO site makes it sound like it's a resort area with all these things available right there. Other items of note: 1) The onsite caretaker doesn't speak any English, only Spanish. Problem resolution through the property manager by phone didn't work out very well for us, so through our broken Spanish, his broken English and sign language we managed to figure out most of the issues, but it was frustrating. 2) The living room area could use a couch. The photos show bean bags and that’s all there is besides a twin bed and a table with 1 chair. For younger people this may not be a problem. 3) Due to the high lake level there are no beaches and instead of the pleasant beach walk to the Santa Cruz dock area we were expecting, we were met with rocky, steep trails that the person who planned the trip could not walk on. Getting to the local restaurants on foot was not possible. In spite of the above, we still enjoyed our time at Casa Paxanax visiting the villages and riding the lanchas into Pana to shop for groceries, etc. The whole package was quite a cultural experience.

I bought this property in 2000, not expecting to live there, but to have the perfect retreat home for weekends. Circumstances changed, and we ended up living in this home for 5 years. Due to my studies, I rent the home out. If you love it half as much as we did living there, you will be happy!
