Enter to wall of windows taking in magnificent views of Lake Chatuge and surrounding mountains. Open concept for great family gatherings. Full cook’s kitchen for enjoyable mealtime prep with full view of the lake in your backyard. Modern furnishings, washer, dryer, paddle boards and kayaks included. Fish and swim off our deep-water community dock.
Enjoy lake by day and gather around the fire pit by night. Great hiking, Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds events, restaurants, golf, wineries, and shopping are all close by.

The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating from my very first message and throughout our entire stay. The property was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared with every detail you could possibly need. It’s clear that a lot of care went into planning the space to ensure a a wonderful experience.The bedding, pillows, and linens were luxurious and incredibly comfortable. It’s rare that my husband sleeps well away from home, but the master bed was so comfortable it genuinely felt like sleeping in our own bed.Overall, this was one of the best stays we’ve had in a rental. We would absolutely love to return and highly recommend this property and the host! Thank you, Asburys!

Amazing views!!!

This property is absolutely amazing! The hosts were so responsive and checked in on us as well. This is one of the few places I have ever stayed that was so well stocked with blankets and kitchen ware! The paddle boards and kayaks were a huge hit among us all. The cove was such a private get away from the rest of the lake. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud. I can't say enough about this house, property, or hosts!

AMAZING STAY!!

What a beautiful home that more than lived up to its promise. We had a great stay at this property. Everything was well kept, very clean and had all the amenities we could hope for or need. The hosts, Skip and Janet, were awesome and made our time there feel like home away from home. We made wonderful memories during our time spent at this beautiful lake home. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this home. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful property

I’ve stayed in many a VRBO and this was easily the most well-stocked; very nice small touches that were noticeable. The location was fantastic, but we didn’t actually spend very much time at the house since we had family nearby. I have nothing negative to say. Just very high praise for Skip and Janet. Keep up the great work and we hope to see the house again soon!

Perfect lake getaway

Our stay at this incredible lake home exceeded expectations! The check in was very easy with the key pad, the home was SPARKLING clean, and the owners even left all the accoutrements to make s’mores (which our son loved!) it was just our family of 3 staying in the home but it’s a great setup for 2 families or multi-generational group, with two large suites (one on each level), and a living space space with tv etc on each level. There is a gorgeous porch overlooking the lake where you can sit and watch the sunset, a great fire pit, and the neighborhood is very quiet, but close to everything in town. We had a great stay!

Incredible lakeside vacation

We had an amazing time at Janet & Skip’s place in Hiawassee. Their beautiful home with picturesque Lake Chatuge at the back doorstep was the perfect spot for our small family to spend a week relaxing and playing at the lake. Unlike some vacation rentals that feel sterile or corporate, we felt as though the owners had invited us in their home. The space was very kid friendly to our nearly 4-year old. The living spaces and sleeping arrangements were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked for preparing meals. We took advantage of the boat slip for docking our rental boat which provided easy access to the water. Janet and Skip were great hosts - so kind and helpful and easy to communicate with. We would 100% recommend and would love to stay again!

Lake Chatuge Getaway

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful home in this cove on Lake Chatuge and found it to be so peaceful and relaxing. The house was exactly what we saw online, in other words there was no “false advertising”. All of our communication with the owners was so positive. They went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed and answered each and every question leading up to and through our stay. They checked with us during our 5-day stay to see if there was anything we needed. Truthfully, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was to our satisfaction. And, it most definitely was! We will be back to stay at this gorgeous home again!

Home away from Home.

If I could give communication and responsiveness higher than a 5 star I would. Can’t say enough about how quickly the host responded to literally every question. We do this trip annually for birthdays, and School Fall Break. We’ve stayed a lot of places, and I believe this is our favorite. The kids stayed busy in the back yard the entire time. The house was roomy, and set up perfectly for a family of six. The location is perfect, close to everything, but just far enough out of the way to enjoy the views without the noise. . The lake provides a wonderful view in the mornings. If you wanna get away, without being too far out of the way, this is the place for you. I can’t thank Skip and Janet enough for the opportunity to make their home our home for a long weekend.

We are a retired entrepreneurial couple. Having given up the business life, we are settling into the rhythm of retirement and adventures. Lake and mountain adventures are our favorite! We have two grown children and 8 grandchildren. We take them on as many adventures of ours as we can! We recently purchased our lake front home that we dreamed of for so many years. Sharing it with family and friends is the best part of this dream! We look forward to making many more friends here to share the best of this life with.

We're just livin' the dream! When we found this home, with it's nice flat property that children can play safely on, we knew it was the right one. Enjoying the view from inside with the expanse of windows on both floors makes it perfect inside and out. We fell in love with Lake Chatuge when our children were teenagers. We spent many summers here with them. We made so many memories we all cherish. Now we're enjoying our lake front dream home with our grandchildren. And we can't wait to share it with you! Come make some memories of your own here!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our quiet cove is peaceful and safe enough to swim in without the heavy boat traffic or waves that other areas on the lake struggle with. And yet It's big enough to enjoy a paddle on the kayaks or paddle boards. It's centrally located to enjoy the abundance of amenities all around us. We are 5-10 minutes from anything you might need. The only problem you might have is enough time to do all the things!!!
