Always love this house

We have stayed at this property for several years now and we love it. The owner is very responsive and the property is always in great condition/clean. It's also a very short walk away from a beach access (almost right across the street). We hope to be back again next year!

Great OBX trip

This trip far exceeded our expectations! We flew across the country and this place was exactly what we needed. It was perfectly close to the beach which was so helpful for our newborn, extremely clean, plenty of room and very hospitable accommodations. Thank you for opening your home, it was memories to last a lifetime.

Outstanding Host!

Vista Del Mar was a perfect fit for our family to spend a few days together in the Outer Banks. You will not find a more communicative or hospitable host than Nadina. She responded very quickly to any question we had and was very easy to work with. We were not familiar with the OBX towns and beaches but it was obvious that this location can't be beat for ease of getting to the beach. And the view was incredible!

Outer Banks Family Reunion

Loved this property and the first class renovations throughout the home both inside and out. Beautiful decor, new furniture, designer kitchen and ocean views from each patio and deck. Awesome home to share with family and make memories.

Just What We Needed

Our Vacation in Vista Del Mar

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our third year in a row renting this house, this year the home had new owners. On our third day, the A/C went out on one of the levels. The owners were very responsivse, they sent an A/C company out immediately who installed window unit A/C's in the three bedrooms in that floor that we were occupying. The A/C company was back they next day and made the necessary repairs. Our Vacation was not interrupted! Thank you to the owners and the A/C company for the quick response!

Wonderful Home

This was our 3rd time staying at this property and we absolutely love it! It's in a great location, with a public beach access almost directly across the street (it's one house over). There's no parking at this beach access, so only people from the nearby homes can realistically use it, which makes it less crowded. The owner is also wonderful. Great communication throughout the process and quick responses whenever we reached out. The home is in great shape and just received some upgrades in 2023, including new flooring throughout, an entirely new kitchen, upgraded TVs, a redone backyard, and some other smaller improvements. The driveway has room for 4+ vehicles, depending on their sizes. It appears that they are changing to Friday to Friday check-ins/check-outs in 2025, as opposed to the Saturday to Saturday that we're used to. We're not sure that will work with our schedules going forward, but if we can manage that we will definitely be back!

Clean and big

It had great space and the kids loved the hot tub since the ocean was red flags all week. This is our 2nd stay here. We are pleased with the home. It could use some upgrades and an update to a few things, but it was clean. I wish this house had a mowed backyard, basketball goal and pool table or something similar for the kids. But it is so close to the ocean and the views (minus the electrical wires) are beautiful. We had dolphins visit most of the week and so many of them! Because of the hurricane in the Atlantic and Gulf and the New Moon, most of the week waves were 10-20 feet high and there was no beach...water was crashing over the dunes and dune/road repair was happening. But that was a fluke to the week we picked. Usually, the beach is nice...slanted too much, but nice. A great stay for families that like the beach and are active outside of the home. Oh, and there is a cute ice cream place in walking distance on Arch Street.

Needs Updating but Great Location

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location steps away from beach. Property very dated and old looking inside, feels unclean in some areas simply due to need for renovations. Furniture and carpeting felt dated, unclean and sandy. Steep stairs are good exercise but were difficult for older family members and laundry on bottom floor. Several TVs did not work properly and advertised DVD player in ET room downstairs does not have correct plugs so disappointed kids. Outside deck areas really need to be cleaned and maintained. Spiderwebs galore and trash on floor. For the amount paid, disappointed with lack of upkeep in general on property. Will look for more updated property for next year.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great vacation in a terrific location. Overall the beach house was great but in need of some repairs and upgrades. Location was steps from the beach and in a great shopping location. Did need to put in some repair calls but staff was very quick to respond and make repairs. Some items in the house need to be upgraded or changed out. Most of the bedding and mattresses need to be replaced. Some new pots and pans can be added. Plastic storage shed in back needs to be replaced or repaired. The new owner needs to do a general inspection of everything and decide for himself!
