Welcome to Charlie’s Charming Cottage! This beautiful cottage-style home is tucked away in a peaceful, centrally located neighborhood and has all the charm, comfort, and amenities to make it your home away from home. Only 10 minutes to downtown Charleston, 15 minutes to Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, & 20 minutes to Folly Beach! Enjoy this charming home when you book your next Charleston getaway!

This home has two bedrooms / two bathrooms. The main bedroom offers a king-size memory foam mattress and a private bathroom with a stand-alone shower. The second bedroom provides a queen-size memory foam mattress with access to the full-size bathroom in the hallway. Each bedroom has its own closet & storage space and a Roku tv to enjoy your favorite streaming channels. The living room features a 65” Roku tv, a record player, and plenty of games & books to enjoy. This charming home also showcases many beautiful pieces of Charleston-inspired artwork all around!

This home was immaculate and the most well-stocked vacation rental we have ever experienced. The host seems to have thought of virtually anything one might need during a stay. Great location between the must-see plantations and historic Charleston.

Clean and cozy

This half a house was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed having this well appointed and very clean home base during our exploration of Charleston. The beds are comfortable, appliances top notch and the bidets a pleasant experience. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Great Location

My mom and I stayed here for our first trip to Charleston. The place was beautiful and fit our needs perfectly. It was in the perfect location being in the middle of every place we wanted to visit. Everything was super clean and beautifully put together. I would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Home

Beautiful and Quiet

The newly remodeled property has everything needed for a beach trip or a fun stay in Charleston. The location was quiet and peaceful, yet close to all the beaches and downtown. We had a wonderful visit and would highly recommend the vacation home. We look forward to our return!

Visiting Granddaughter at MUSC

We came down to visit our granddaughter who is attending MUSC for PA grad school. Would recommend Charlie’s Charming Cottage as a place to stay. Very clean and only 12 minutes from the college.

Great stay in a beautifully updated space.

For just two of us, there was lots of space. The kitchen was beautiful and we were able to cook our own meals. Washer and dryer were handy and easy to use. We loved the little kitchen nook where we could sit and talk in the morning. The door latch was a little tricky. To lock it, we had to try it twice each time we exited, but once we figured out that detail, it was smooth sailing.

This property was so wonderful on the inside! Comfy. Cozy, great kitchen, nice beds and towels! The neighborhood was a bit odd, a mix of small businesses, trailer homes and small homes. A great stay for a couple of nights. Easy access to Downtown and the gardens.

Perfect Charleston Getaway

This super cute property is IMMACULATELY clean with all necessary amenities provided and even some non-necessary ones ( a record player!!) We were about a 15 minute drive down to the water to stroll down Meeting Street, visit Ft. Sumter, and shop at the City Market. We had a quiet, peaceful stay and would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Charleston!

Charleston Wedding

Place was just as described, great location in West Ashley. Reasonably close to everything we wanted to see and do during our stay, especially for the Wedding that was held at Legare Waring House. Kitchen was nicely equipped, cooked breakfast every morning and one dinner during our stay. We stayed in and survived Hurricane Helene, power was out for 3-4 hours but all was good. Would highly recommend Charlie’s Place.

Rental is clean and well furnished with everything we needed. I mixed up the checkout date during my wedding week madness but the host came over to assist with our move out so the place could be cleaned and ready for the next guest. Overall positive experience

An excellent choice

We highly recommend Charles' cottage. The unit is thoughtfully furnished, and he provides many small touches that help it feel "homelike." It is in a quiet neighborhood and very convenient to central Charleston, grocery and restaurant choices, etc. This cottage is undoubtedly one of my best vacation rental experiences. Check it out!

Great Stay with a Few Location Quirks

We had a great experience overall! The home itself is a quaint, apartment-style space that’s been updated beautifully. It was super clean, very comfortable for four people, and came stocked with all the amenities—even some thoughtful extras like makeup towels, Q-tips, cotton balls, and a quality hairdryer. The bedding exceeded expectations, with plenty of pillows (a rare find in rentals), and the towels were large and plush—definitely a notch above the usual.The location felt a bit sketchy at first, especially when GPS occasionally routed us behind nearby buildings at night. However, we never had any safety concerns, and it ended up being conveniently central—just about 15 minutes from everything we wanted to see and do around Charleston, barring traffic.Security was solid, the neighborhood was quiet, and check-out was the easiest I’ve ever experienced. We did have a brief issue with the internet (turned out to be scheduled maintenance), but the property manager responded immediately and helped us get it sorted quickly.I wish I had gotten more photos, but we were in and out for a long weekend vacation, so we were trying to get as much as we could. But I will say the photos in the descriptions is a very true accurate description of the inside of the home.Overall, it was a great stay with a comfortable setup, thoughtful details, and excellent communication from the host. We’d definitely consider staying again
