Alpine Fox is a custom luxury A-Frame home that sleeps up to 10 guests with 4 bedrooms. If your design sensibilities skew modern and comfortable, this spacious four-bedroom will draw you into alpine living,while being close to town and surrounded by forest.

Set out on an adventure and return to a retreat of peace and relaxation. The home has floor to ceiling windows, is immersed in natural beauty, both inside and outside and is nestled on Satulah Mountain facing the private Ravenel Ridge.
We host an absolute max of *10* guests, and * do not * host visitors - daytime, overnight, or parties. This is a Quiet Neighborhood, with quiet hours 10pm - 7am.

Bookings through Airbnb do not permit professional or commercial photography/video shoots on the property or in the house. For more information please contact us directly.

Cabin is very clean and has been updated recently. Location is fantastic regarding proximity to Highlands and surrounding beauty. Bedding and linens are all nice. Would stay here again without question.

Family time

The house is newly renovated with great finishes. The floor plan is open and spacious with many places to sit and relax. There are three levels with lots of natural light. The hostess is easy to communicate with as well.

The perfect mountain getaway!

Stayed with a group of girlfriends for my 40th birthday and the house was absolutely perfect! Plenty of space for the 10 of us to lounge, laugh, relax, sleep and enjoy a slow paced weekend! I loved how close the house was to town, so convenient. The house is comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Wouldn’t change a thing!

Amazing Stay!

We had a wonderful time in Highlands, and the house was a cozy retreat after days of hiking and shopping. There was so much space that it was easy to sneak a way for some quiet reading. The beds were comfortable as was the furniture. Every night we gathered around the cozy fireplace and played games and watched movies. The kitchen was well stocked and beautiful. The location was absolutely perfect - hidden away but close to town. The only complaint, which is a small one, is there were no wash cloths. We will most definitely stay again!

Perfect Highlands Getaway

Absolutely loved our stay at this mountain rental! The beds were super comfy, making it easy to relax after a day of hiking. The living area is a cozy place to lounge in front of the fire and connect with others. The house location was perfect—just a short walk to town where we enjoyed yummy food (Lakeside Restaurant) and live music (Old Edwards Inn). I also have to give a shout-out to our host Nancy; she was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Despite Hurricane Helene passing through, we didn't notice any impact on the house or the town, which was a relief. Overall, it was a fantastic getaway, and we can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!

Book Club Getaway

We had a wonderful book club weekend for 6 women. The home was large with plenty of room for our group. It is located in a nice quiet neighborhood close to town. The home had everything we needed and we enjoyed the fireplace at night after a day filled with hiking. The kitchen is very well stocked and coffee/tea provided. There is a nice deck fire pit which we didn’t find time to use. The beds are super comfortable and the linens are high end. Nancy was very responsive to questions and needs and gave us some good dining suggestions. We will definitely return in the future!

A large, airy, mountain home.

This was a beautifully appointed home. The host has thought of all things that would make you comfortable. This home was very spacious, lots of areas to have conversations or to read, which we loved. It was extremely clean (and we did our best to keep it that way, following the host’s request to remove our shoes upon entry). We chose this home mainly because of the location. It is very close to downtown Highlands. Our host was extremely responsive to any questions that we had. As with any mountain home, there will be stairs, but if you have someone in your group who is not comfortable with the stairs, they can stay on the first floor. This is a great place for gatherings of friends or family. The fireplace makes the main room very cozy. I only wish that we could’ve stayed here longer.

Beautiful home

Beautiful home. We were in town for a wedding and stayed at this house with friends and family. It was spacious and beautiful. The location was so convenient to downtown. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Highlands!

Amazing property for great friends weekend in the mountains

This beautiful home is updated and beautifully decorated. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The open plan for the common areas is conducive for large groups to celebrate holidays, share stories, or watch football together while snacking. The deck is large and the area quiet. It is close enough to town to enjoy the shops and restaurants yet far enough away to feel like you are away in the mountains. The owner is great to work with, attentive to details, and goes out of the way to be accomodating. We loved this home for our friends getaway.

Highlands

Beautiful property and so well appointed!! The artwork is so engaging and a tour of the property and all the little things to see inside just start the trip off on a good note. And then there is that expansive wraparound deck!! The town is great with good restaurants, if you don’t want to use the brand new kitchen. The scenery in the area could not be better. Lots to do and see. Definitely will be on our agenda in the future.

Exquisite home and location

Booked the Alpine Fox for a last minute trip to Highlands, NC. It has been a few years since I visited this town and staying close to the "action" was definitely important to me. The host made my stay a breeze with an easy check in / check out process. The home is everything you see in pictures but better! High end furniture and appliances, well stocked kitchen and bathroom are awaiting your stay. The home is in walking distance to the town center for shopping, dining or just taking a stroll. The location also makes for beautiful views from the back deck which I enjoyed over coffee in the morning. We loved this home so much we are already looking to book another stay!

Comfort & Elegance all under one roof

Nancy reached out long before our stay to welcome us to her home and ask me if we needed any assistance. Once we arrived at her lovely home it was obvious it was exquisitely renovated. The layout is perfect for a large family. The furnishings are elegant, yet fun! The kitchen is spectacular. Go. Enjoy. Fair warning: you might not want to leave the home. But town is a short walk away so you might as well venture out. 11 minutes to your closest waterfall. Eight people: all would give it a 10 out of 10.

Perfect mountain getaway

We had an amazing time in the mountains. The house was fresh and clean, kitchen had everything and the bathrooms were gorgeous. We could not have picked a better spot for our weekend together. Our hosts were terrific and gave great suggestions for eating, drinking hiking. We will be back!

Friends Getaway!

So thankful Nancy’s place was available for our much needed break. It was perfection for our group of friends. While it’s right in town it’s still secluded and has all the amenities one needs. Nancy is the perfect host. Can’t wait to visit again!

Wonderful Highlands Experience

Our stay at this rental home was absolutely delightful! The hosts were incredibly easy to work with and provided us with helpful tips about the town. They were always available to answer any questions we had, which made our trip stress-free. The open living room was a highlight of the home - it was spacious and beautifully decorated, with an awesome fireplace that made us feel right at home. We loved waking up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning. The location of the home was perfect, as it was close to everything we wanted to do. We were able to easily go on a hike and grab lunch on Main Street, as well as visit the Satulah Mountain Brewery. The convenience of the location made our trip even more enjoyable. Overall, we had an amazing time at this vacation rental home in Highlands. The hosts were fantastic, the living room was amazing, and the location couldn't have been better. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable vacation.

We love the mountains, everywhere and anywhere. We have been coming specifically to the Highlands adea for years and love the cool weather, great restaurants, hiking, and activities offered. There is something for everyone.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We found this property through friends who bought their place a few years ago and come up a lot for weekends. Being so close to town and on a very quiet street with walkability into Highlands and close to amazing hiking spots ticked off all our boxes.
We are only a short meander up from the Highlands School and Main Street and Old Edwards Inn and Spa! This place really has it all. We never expected to find a perfect spot for our family and friends to gather.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Drive up for a long weekend and unwind. We are on a quiet street that is so close to town and tucked away from it all.

We can look at the mountains and walk to town in 8 minutes or drive in less than one. We designed the house so that three couples could each enjoy a floor of their own. Every couple gets their own King-sized bed, and the bunks are perfect for bringing your family. Guests can come together in the main kitchen and living room area, plus there's another living room and also a loft space. Everyone gets an equally relaxing and place to stay.
