Welcome to LOFT 40. You will stay at our stunning 3-story historic loft building. Enjoy open concept living with exposed brick, unique features, and modern décor.

We are located minutes from the excitement of Downtown and culture of University Circle. It is the perfect urban retreat for friends, couples, or large families looking to spread out.

Whether you want to enjoy a meal at the beautiful dining space or watch the big game on the 86" TV, the Loft at 40 has what you’re looking for.

We have one Ring floodlight security camera located above the main front entrance facing the parking spaces out front. The device will be monitoring the perimeter during your stay. You may access the feed by using the Amazon Echo located on the kitchen counter.

The property was beautiful, well appointed with amp,e parking. It was spacious and an ideal venue for a family gathering. We had a brunch for 25 people and it was the highlight for many. It is conveniently located near downtown Cleveland too. Suggestions: invest in an elevator ! The two flights of stairs and the narrow spiral staircase is definitely not conducive or even possible for persons with limited mobility or disability. Our group were 50 and some just found it a bit challenging to walk up the 35 steps! The host was very communicative and transparent when I asked about the steps. I would probably suggest making that more prominent in the adverts. Overall great and I would definitely look for this property again.

Bridal Shower

The host was extremely responsive and the property was love and perfect for my daughter’s bridal shower. We will definitely stay at this property again, as a matter of fact, I am looking at some dates in June.

A Perfect Stay at Loft 40

Loft 40 was an absolute dream for our women’s retreat! The check-in process was seamless, and the communication with the owner was excellent. The space is expansive, beautifully designed, and perfect for large groups—we never felt crowded.The bedrooms are massive with incredibly comfortable beds, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The eclectic decor perfectly captured the vibrant energy of Cleveland, making it a memorable experience for our out-of-town guests.The location is ideal, close to freeways, shopping, and the heart of the city. Whether for a retreat, family gathering, or business stay, Loft 40 is the perfect choice. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to return!

Words cannot describe how incredible our experience was staying at the location. It was a huge hit with all our the out of town California guest for our Cleveland wedding weekend. Tony was so responsive, extremely accommodating, and that place is extremely special. Look no further you found THE SPOT! Cannot wait to come again!

Great Space - Really Big

We thought the space was the perfect size. They had extra folding chairs in the garage which came in handy, but there is plenty of seating. There's an audio system in the games room. The upstairs bedrooms mostly don't close at the ceiling and there's one big bathroom for the floor, so you're sharing the bathroom/laundry room with everyone, just something to note. The only thing I thought was a little misleading was the outdoor space. It seems like those photos are from a while back. If that doesn't matter to you, it's a great pick! The inside is exactly as pictured.

Perfect Affordable Event Space

We stayed at Loft 40 for our wedding and hosted our reception dinner on the first floor, and the entire weekend was absolutely perfect. Everyone loved the space, it was perfect for photos, and had ample space for us to get ready. The outdoor area was perfect for beer pong, cornhole, and gave our guests plenty of room to spread out. We had a couple snafus over the weekend, by Tony was very communicative - he was also extremely flexible when our furniture rental company was 2 days late picking up the table and chairs. Can't recommend this place enough!!!

Cleveland and this place ROCKS!!

What a uniquely awesome property! Location is convenient to downtown and all the fun, but quiet- even with the passing trains. The property is huge, but so cozy feeling. The charm of the original building has been maintained, although very well updated and decorated. The first floor game room has something for everyone. Looking at the front of the building, you would not expect it to have an awesome backyard, but it does! The beds and furniture were comfortable, with plenty of places to sit on each floor. The kitchen was very well equipped. This would be a fantastic spot for a gathering. Tony was a gracious host. Extremely responsive and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again! Side note- should you stay here, go to Yonder Brunch and Vibes for breakfast/brunch. It is a quick 0.3 mile walk and the food is excellent.

Cleveland’s Finest

My family and I stayed at Loft 40 while in town for my Grandmother’s funeral. The space was exactly what we needed as it provided comfortable sleeping accommodations and a place for us to socialize with our family members who were expressing their condolences. The property is eclectic and appealing to the eye. We received many compliments on the space. The host, Tony, has thought of almost everything! When I told him the purpose of our trip, he expressed his condolences and had a gift for us of local treats upon arrival, which we thought was a very nice touch. He helped us bring our bags in and he is very responsive should you have questions. The linens are great quality and he leaves some toiletry items should you forget something! There are a lot of stairs so one should take this into consideration, and I could go on and on, but the bottom line is if you’re in Cleveland and need a large space to spread out with family, have a girls weekend, or to host a small event, Loft 40 is your best bet!

So much space, so little time

This place has so much room 3 nights wasn't enough to fully enjoy it. Wish we would have had a whole week. 5 of us, all family, stayed. We all had plenty of room and there was certainly room for more. Plenty of places to sit and have a conversation and a very nice, well stocked kitchen. A whole separate floor for games was really cool. The outdoor space has plenty of furniture and a propane flame coffee table. And that doesn't even count the floor with the bedrooms. The host, Tony, was super. He answered a bunch of questions up front and was available the whole time we were there. There is a train that goes by right behind the property. Of course, Tony told us about this as soon as we booked it. It is NOT a problem. Inside the building you hardly notice it. When you are in the back yard, it will interrupt a conversation for 15 or 20 seconds and that's it. Not one of us ever heard it while trying to sleep. Again, for us, this was not a problem. The location is excellent. Just a short Uber ride to the R&R HOF and lots of good restaurants. The only reason for the 4 stars on cleanliness is that there is still restoration work going on and some of the materials for that are in the garage you walk through to get to the back yard. The game room, kitchen / living space and bedrooms are immaculate. I would book this property again in a heartbeat.

The perfect spot for a long weekend.

My friends and I had a great time at Loft 40. It was roomy, easy to access, with nice furniture and linens. The neighborhood is quiet, we felt safe, and it was easy to get all over town from its' central location. Tony was quick to respond to my questions and solved our one small problem quickly. I will recommend booking Loft 40 for any Cleveland visit.

My Name is Tony, the property owner of Loft 40. I am a lifelong Clevelander, entrepreneur, scratch golfer and animal lover. One of my favorite things to do when traveling is experiencing new cities in unique vacation homes. Those experiences of mine inspired our transformation of Loft 40.

I have been lucky enough to travel all over the world and experience many different fun and unique cultures. I truly believe that Cleveland is one of the best places to live and visit in the world. When you come to Loft 40, you will feel connected to the history and culture of our beautiful city.
