Luxury lake house with must see view year round

Welcome to the Overlook! We are excited to share this beautiful view, and home with you. This 3791sqft home on Lake Herrington is a new rental with brand new furnishings throughout. You'll see the lake as soon as you pull into the drive, the view is simply breathtaking. With a large driveway and additional large parking pad complete with electrical outlets for electric cars there is plenty of parking so bring your boat/jet skis. Don't have a boat? There are 4 nearby marinas that offer boat rentals, dining, and activities. The closest is only 3 minutes away! You will walk in the front door to the main living room with vaulted ceilings and views of the lake at every turn. A 70" Smart TV and lounging area is combined with a one of a kind dining table that seats 8. Walk through any of the sliding doors to the main deck for the complete lake view. The main deck offers a gas grill, lounge chairs, gas fire pit, and large dining table that seats 8. The lower deck offers a brand new hot tub that seats 6. The kitchen is stocked, so you can bring food to cook if you want to eat in. There are 2 dining tables to seat 12 plus 2 stools at the kitchen bar. Upstairs, the master suite boasts a king size bed, private deck with two gliders, a full bath, walk-in closet, TV and sitting area. The other upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a wonderful lake view along with a bonus sitting room that can be used as an additional sleeping area with an air mattress. Please use caution on the stairs. They are narrow. Please use the handrail. On the main floor there are 2 bedrooms. One offers a queen bed and the other a twin bed. Both bedrooms are close to the main bathroom. The lower level offers a bedroom with a king bed which walks out to the lower deck with the hot tub. There is also another living room downstairs with a comfortable pullout sofa, 70" Smart TV with Apple TV, and doors which also lead to the hot tub & deck with a wonderful view. Rainy day? There is still a lot of fun to be had here. The hot tub is covered by the deck above. There is a ping pong table in the garage and a workout area. There are board games and card games. All the TVs are smart TVs for your streaming pleasure. :)

The overlook was PERFECT for our family’s holiday gathering. It’s clean, cozy, comfortable, very nicely decorated. The view is awesome. Melissa is an excellent host, she made sure everything was just right for us. Our family had the best visit!

We were in town for 2 nights with friends and family for Centre College homecoming. The house was large enough to comfortably fit 8 adults and 5 kids. The views are amazing, and the house was very well appointed. We very much enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again.

The views from the deck were beautiful. Nice sunsets in the evenings. The house was well stocked with a coffee bar, and all the kitchen things you will need. There are games in the garage. It was as advertised.

Sibling, family trip/Memorial for our parents

The house was amazing - clean, plenty of amenities, beautiful view! Plenty of room for 12 teens and adults. Melissa is a great host, easy communication, and she gave relevant recommendations. We rented 2 pontoons and had a fun day on the lake. Location was perfect for our days in Lexington, Richmond, and Berea.

Family getaway

Sibling sipping trip

Your home had everything we needed to enjoy a siblings and spouses bourbon country getaway weekend. Beautiful location on the river, enjoyed grilling and sitting around the firepit as well as games and Saturday night football inside on the large TV when it rained. Comfy beds and pillows, too! Relaxing With Friends

Hit the bourban trail with some good friends. It was so nice to come back to such a nice house and relax on the deck with amazing views. I would start and end my day this way the entire trip.

Amazing!

This property is absolutely a "must rent" for groups. We had 6 adults, everyone had plenty of space and the views are amazing! This property was stocked with everything we needed; not just 1 roll of TP to get you thru a shopping trip, there were 5 - 6 rolls in each bathroom, laundry and dishwasher soap for multiple loads, plenty of towels, shower items - as regular VRBO renters, most places do not come this stocked. Melissa was so great to work with, communication was quick and she recommended some cool spots to visit. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, we enjoyed the fire table and hot tub. We all felt right at home, and would rent this home again for future vacations.

Wonderful place to rest and relax

Our family stayed at this property during the Christmas holiday. We had outgrown our home for bedrooms for everyone to stay in and a room big enough for everyone to gather to open presents, etc. This property fit the bill exactly. We were able for every family, to have their own bedroom and there was plenty of room to eat, and to share games and fellowship and the opening of presents in the open area. The property was equipped very well; the hot tub was wonderful and the weather was so great we could gather on the deck on Christmas Eve, and everything worked out beautifully. Some of the family hiked around the area and had a really good time doing so. We would recommend this property for anyone who has a number of people with the desire to have plenty of room for them to socialize and fellowship . We are grateful to Melissa for sharing this lovely place with us. She was very easy to communicate with and was responsive almost immediately. This is something that you do not always find in these properties and we appreciated it very much.

We fell in love this home, the amazing view, and the friendly lake community. We are very blessed to be able to share it with others. We looked at many homes on different lakes. Nothing compared to the Overlook. It was an easy drive, a beautiful home, and an unmatched lake view.
We are just a few miles from Shaker Village,
Built in 1925 by the Kentucky Utilities Company for hydroelectric power generation, Lake Herrington is the deepest lake in Kentucky. Herrington boasts some of the finest reservoir fishing in the state. It is a well-stocked lake contains bluegill, catfish, crappie, hybrid striped bass, large mouth bass, spotted bass and white bass.
This is a lake house which means there may be wind, pollen, bugs, snakes, temporary power outages, dirt, leaves, dust, and fallen trees. There might be a lady bug. spider or a cricket. Pollen or ashes or leaves could settle on the porch or ledges with the blowing wind. The house is professionally cleaned after every single guest, but please keep in mind that you are at the lake. You will probably see flies and lady bugs :)

The area is made up of mostly full time residents that enjoy the peace and tranquility our neighborhood offers. Please be respectful and keep the noise level down, especially at night. The lake is extremely quiet & peaceful. Sound travels....This home is wonderful for families and groups that want to relax and enjoy the lake. If you are looking for a place to have a party, this is NOT the place for you.
