La Pura Vida is an amazing home in the Cypress Bend Subdivision. It sleeps 23 and is a six bedroom six bath home. This home offers a beautiful home with unique decor. Set up like a hotel, this home has five bedrooms outside the main living area. The home has a game room that will entertain the kids for hours and an outdoor entertainment area that will please all. From a great pool with hot tub to an area to play horseshoes and tether ball. Of course there is definitely room to bring those cornhole boards for extra entertainment. With only a block walk from private river access this home offers it all.

Eclipse extravaganza

I and 19 friends booked this for the eclipse. 4 people ended up not making it (family emergencies), but the rest of us had a great time. Would come back if the occasion presents itself!

Overall we had a great time. We had plenty of space for our group. Patio and pool wereva big hit. The up stairs bedroom on the left had a small roof leak when we had a strong rain come through. Rain was short lived and did not create any major issues.

Our family of 17 needed a place to accommodate us all that also included a pool for those too young to get into the river yet. This cabin fit our needs perfectly. We have stayed at various places along the Frio for over 40 years & love Comanche Crossing. At first glance, we were not sure about the set up as the bedrooms are really set up motel style but everyone loved it. The main cabin has a huge living & kitchen area with a half bath & the master suite is also included in this area. Each of the 5 bedrooms had plenty of beds along with their own bathrooms. The whole set up really worked surprisingly well for our family., each family had their own space. The kitchen was very well equipped. We have already reserved for next year. Frio Family Getaway is always very accommodating & responsive! Definitely recommend!

Each room has its own entry door to the outside minus the master bedroom that’s inside the main part of the house. Each room also has its own fridge and windows unit. The rooms were clean and stayed cold! The outside area was great for our group. Loved having the pool to keep the kids entertained until we got everything ready to head down to the river. We had a great time and will hopefully be back!

Great home for country gatherings

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home with a lot of room for visiting and relaxation. The home sits next to a vacant lot that has deer, turkeys and rabbits. If you are a bird watcher we saw many varieties of birds including cardinals, hummingbirds, buntings, dove and red tailed hawks. The pool and jacuzzi was an added bonus with the river located 5-6 minutes away. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary cookware and utensils to grill and cook. We enjoyed playing pool in the game room, throwing horseshoes and roasting marshmallows outdoors. It was great being out of the city!

Great experience - few hiccups

The overall set up was excellent. We loved the individual rooms for guests with the main common area - it was great for a family reunion. The rooms and facilities were very good. The communication with the host and property manager was excellent. They were very responsive. Some issues that could be improved include: better clarity on river access (we got on the river and were told by another family they had that spot and it was private - thus it was hard to find a spot if you aren't tubing the entire time on the river). We wanted to hang out on the river and it was very overgrown and so select locations were private it seemed. Also, the concrete outside the pool was very slick when wet and we had several slips and falls. The water pressure in some of the bathrooms was not ideal and the lack of towels and providing own sheets left a bit to be desired. Overall we'd stay again but just would like to highlight the need for some improvements to make it ideal.
