The "mountain" part of the name comes from fact that the area is home to the Gulf of Mexico’s highest elevation (a whopping 64 feet). The natural beauty surrounds you with relaxation but there are still some exceptionally good restaurants and even a local ice cream parlor in the area. Bike rides are the norm for this slower paced portion of 30A, and visitors who stay here return year after year to enjoy its charm.

PET FRIENDLY WITH STIPULATIONS We welcome well trained dogs to stay in this home. We require that your dog be completely potty trained and prefer dogs older than 2 years old. Crate Trained pups are preferred to deter mischievous behavior while you and your party are enjoying the beach. It is understood that while we do allow dogs with the mentioned stipulations any damages that occur during your stay will be charged to the credit card on file with the minimum fee being $350.00. INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens & towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the beach.

The property was good. The transaction with Panhandle Getaways was not so good. I gave them my checking account number to finish paying for the house. They input the numbers wrong resulting a 10 charge for a bounced check. There was nothing wrong with my account. My bank confirmed this and told me that there had been nothing from Panhandle. The call center told me they would not remove the 10 dollar charge and pretty much told me that was the way it was and I could take it or leave it. If they would have just called me back to verify the checking account number this could all have been avoided and I would't have had to use my credit card resulting in a 3.5% upcharge. I will be very reluctant to use Panhandle for anything in the future.

Very good location.
About 3 blocks from the beach and restaurants and easily walkable/bike-able even though it sits on a medium sized hill. The front and backyards are quite large. The house is nice, clean, and fresh.

It was nice however for 8 people to stay there the sitting situation in living room was only one couch for 3 people to sit on. Couch was stained and dingy.

Nice location
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Nice, quiet neighborhood that is approximately a 10-15 min walk to the beach. The home had most of what we needed. The beds need to be upgraded and the upstairs living room stays really hot and stuffy, so we did not use this space. Communication with the property management staff was always quick and helpful. Bikes were a great amenity offering. There is a charcoal BBQ grill for use.

NOT A GOOD PLACE TO BRING DOGS! INACCURATE DESCRIPTION
Description said: dog friendly house, “4 minute stroll to the beach”, “community pool”, “grill” etc. NONE of this was true except the house was dog friendly. Was a 15+ min walk across 30A to beach. Had stuff to bring to the beach and an elder mom & we had to drive - parking was impossible. We just wanted to be able to walk
There is NO POOL & no grill. And the best part is NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE BEACH - NO MENTION OF THIS. There wasn’t even a hair dryer like described. We got there and the door code they gave us didn’t work. We simply pushed the door open, the door was broken which we fixed. Took them 2 days to fix the door lock and then they still gave us the wrong cod again. On the 3rd day we finally got bike lock combinations and they were not right either. It was just too many things -
I WOULD NOT HAVE RENTED THIS HOUSE - the description was full of total inaccuracies.
It took us 2 days to get our rhythm down, and we did, and had a great time despite being lied to and so many things wrong.
I will say they dropped off a grill on the 3rd day and a hair dryer on the 4th day.
We count on these descriptions to be accurate, the door to be able to be safely locked, just normal stuff like that. No hose for the house, they had an elaborate sprinkler system that watered the large lawn while raining.
The management company did not know this property at all. I asked for a 2 day refund and was offered $300 of the $330 management company fee charged.
